I went in to get a clock and wing tattooed on my arm. The time of the clock was very important to me because I wanted it to be the time my son was born. He got the time wrong witch made me very upset and all he said was sorry and the clocks can be tricky sometimes. For as much as I paid I expect him (Taylor) at the very least double check the time. Other then that the wing looked good but the clock looked unfinished. I was unimpressed and would not recommend going there. read more

I don't know why this place doesn't have any reviews yet. Maybe there's some confusion with the name - I was referred to this place as "Prysm Body Piercing", but it's called Color Works at the mall. My story goes a little something like this - I got my nose piercing in St Louis being a Chicago resident, and I came to Des Moines for a couple of days. I needed the piercing removed immediately because the placement wasn't in a good spot. My piercer referred me to Rob at Prysm, and I'm so glad she did! Rob was incredibly nice, and although the removal hurt a bit, he kept me calm during the process. I'm giving it 5 stars just because his service was amazing - Thanks Rob! read more

Okay first off I haven't been to this location, I am actually writing this review for a friend who is much to nice to leave a bad review for a BAD tattoo. First off when you go to the store you have to sign a waiver basically saying if they f up the tattoo they are not liable and it sucks to be you. So my friend goes into this location with the intention to get her deceased friends date of birth and date of death tattooed. She brings a printed out copy of exactly what she wanted (with the exact numbers) and that's it she gets that tattooed and all is well.. NOT. THEY MISSED A NUMBER, she is too kind and passive to say anything, but she is completely heart broken about what was supposed to be a sentimental tattoo. Now she has to have this on her body for the rest of her life because one of your workers forgot a number. Your waiver is absolute bs, you need to refund the tattoo and pay for it to get removed. I went in to get body jewelry for my nose and belly button piercing. The people in there were a lot of help and Rob was very good with me. He switched my piercing out for my belly button and put in my nose piercing which was a little hard to get in because I hadn't put anything in for a while. He did great though and took his time when it came to putting in my nose piercing. After he explained to me the differences in body jewelry and the quality of the jewelry. The reason being because I commented on how the jewelry is a little more expensive than I was use to but I'm so glad to have spent the money on good quality jewelry that I'm putting in my body. Rob is humble and friendly, but a quick scan around his shop makes you realize he has been internationally trained by the best in the industry. His studio rivals some of the top medical facilities I've been in, as Rob is meticulous about sterilization and cleanliness. His jewelry quality is the best I have seen.
