Well it's actually a funny story,…read more Many years ago when I was just a small infant my mother decided she wanted to get my ears pierced. Every time I ask her who did she go to for the piercing, she just says "the doctors". Well whoever the "doctors" were completely did a lopsided job. I was always insecure when wearing earrings and never wore them because my right ear's whole was way too high then the proper position. Kids in school would always ask me why my earrings were lopsided. Because of this I haven't worn earrings in years. I tried correcting the imbalance of my ear piercings a few years ago by trying to get a double piercing. It was successful for a bit, but a few days in I had to take them out because my right ear was trying to catch an infection. On my 30 hour layover in Des Moines Iowa my coworker wanted to get his ear pierced, and this brought up unfinished business between me and my lopsided ear holes. I decided to go with my coworker and try one more time to correct my ears. We made no previous reservations, we came as walk-ins and we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for Abriana our piercer to finish up with a few clients. Once she was finished she came up to us, asked us what we needed and then helped us pick out some earrings. After that she took us to the room to get our piercing done. I went first. I explained my whole dilemma and I felt that my concerns were taken seriously. She took her time with measuring my ear and deciding where to put the second holes. On the left ear she pierced above the original hole, and on the right ear she pierced below the original hole (because that was the hole that was too high). When she pierced me she did it with a needle and not the piercing gun. She said the needle does way less damage on the skin tissue, and therefore allows for a better recovery process. She explained to me just before piercing me that I would need to inhale, and then when I exhale she will pierce me. I appreciated this because I knew what to expect, I also think the breathing method help to make it a little less painful. She was very friendly and super professional. I would definitely recommend her as well as this shop. I'm actually surprised at the reviews here on Yelp. Granted a lot of them are outdated. This place gets great reviews on Google, and I can vouch for those reviews. It's now going on a week and a half and my ears are going strong. No signs of infection to be seen. If you are looking for a professional place to get a piercing, Lucky Gal is the place to go!

I've been going to Union Station West for the last for years. I've had 2 tattoo pieces and one…read morepiercing, and each has been an easy, clean, and even fun (though painful, haha) experience. I brought in a drawing for a large side piece to Eddie, and he worked with my original drawing and really helped me create a beautiful piece! He made the experience of a first large tattoo relaxing and easy. He created a second script piece on my forearm that I constantly get compliments about. Of both of my tattoos, neither of them became infected, and neither required touch ups. The ink has not faded, although Eddie used a gentle hand. No scar tissue, which is awesome, considering some of the horrors I've seen from other people who have had ink work done elsewhere! My nose piercing was also quick, easy, and clean. They are very thorough in their directions to clean any piercing or tattoo, and are reasonably priced. They approach their work with light-hearted humor while remaining professional. I highly recommend Eddie for a tattoo-though, I know the other artists are great as well.

I called and was told we could probably do a walk in and get a tattoo that same day, me and my mom…read morejust wanted a small tattoo and so we went in and were told they couldn't do it but we could make an appointment if we wanted so we made an appointment for the next Saturday (06/21) at 11am so we did that and we got there about 20 minutes early and the doors were locked, no biggie but they do open at 10am so we were confused and just decided to wait until 11, maybe they were just not opening until then. 11 comes around and they're still not open and we are calling and emailing and there is no answer and no one is inside. We ended up leaving and will not be trying to get a tattoo from there ever.

I thought I'd be shooting for a walk-in, so I had researched everyone in the shop to make sure I'd be cool with whoever was available to tattoo me and not just one specific artist. I ended up sending a booking request just a few days ahead and scored an appointment with Ace. While I had some concept ideas and inspo, I hadn't really come in with something specific and that made me really nervous. Luckily, smack on the front page of his wanna do book, I found my design. I think we did more talking than tattooing at some points or we would've been done even faster than we actually were. Very grateful for fast tattooers with gentle hands lol. The shop is gorgeous, but beware if like me you go in the winter on the morning after a cold weekend - it gets chilly! They've got plenty of blankets and bolsters to make a nook though, if you forget your own. I can't say enough good things about my experience and I'm so excited to work with these folks to fill up more on my leg.

She is super patient (I am indecisive about sizing and placement at times) and so quick when it comes to the actual tattoo!! I've never felt intimidated walking into the shop, which is a feat cus I have had uncomfortable tattoo experiences in the past, but never here. Vern made me feel extra special on one occasion when she told me she drew something that made her think of me, which is now tattooed on me (the candy heart with barbed wire) if you are looking for a shop there simply isn't a better choice!!
