Understanding the circumstance, but also willing to wait for the right team, I responded and asked the business to let me know if that changed in the future, as we have several projects in our home and are hoping to bring the same team aboard for all of them. I then received the attached response offering a completely different explanation than before. Rather than acting with integrity, the business elected to tell a lie, as the project was likely not lucrative enough for them. I made no reference to my budget, but the business assumed I would not be interested in paying their prices. I would like to offer a two-star rating, though, as the communication was quite prompt.

Returned the water heater to HD and visited my Brighton George T. Sanders store. Great people, even better advice. I ended up buying a better water heater from them. Wouldn't fit in my van. They said they would drop it by my house in the morning. They also suggested four plumbers I could call for installation. The plumber I chose came over the next morning. While he was here Sanders dropped off the water heater. Bottom line, even with a better water heater I ended up saving $849.93 by not getting the HD water heater and installation and $1,082.76 by not using my past plumber.
