After getting four quotes, I came to realize that each company pretty much has one type of siding they recommend and install. For one company we interviewed it was LP (engineered wood), for two companies it was Hardie (fiber cement), and for the last company, Superior Industries, it was a material we hadn't heard of before: Gentek ALIGN Composite Cladding (aka Alside ASCEND Composite Cladding). I was initially skeptical because I hadn't come across it in my research. How good could it be? Turns out, amazing. Really glad I called Mike to come take a look, as otherwise we would have ended up spending a lot more to get a not-quite-as-good product. Superior Industries replaced all of our siding, soffits, and facia, and aluminum-wrapped all new trim boards for us. They did precise, high-quality work and it really shows. Communication was good throughout and the guys who did the work were friendly and competent. Mike only has a couple teams, so these guys have been with him for many years and really know their stuff. They listened to everything I had to say, they consulted me when there were any decisions to be made, and they answered all my questions. Everything looks great and we are very pleased.

It was not fully completed until August -- nearly eight months later. While our salesperson was wonderful, we were left feeling swindled by what was promised versus delivered. There was a complete absence of accountability and management by our project lead. The installation crew was incredibly careless with our property, causing damage to our landscaping, stonework, and shutters. On top of that, we dealt with faulty window construction, mismatched hardware and paint touch-ups, and a complete breakdown in communication. Getting basic updates or repairs required months of constant chasing, unanswered messages, and excuse-making. As small business owners who have managed multiple construction projects, we were shocked by the total lack of accountability and respect from Bellwether for our time and property. We spent a significant amount of money on all new siding and 10+ custom windows for a week-long job that turned into a multi-month ordeal. If you expect basic accountability for your investment, look elsewhere.
