My Big Truffle in Little China was fine, but not sure anything really stood out, and it didn't have the spicy kick I was expecting. Fries were pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. My wife had the Big Mic, and my daughter had the Black Dahlia. Both had the sweet potato fries..,again, seems like they thought burgers and fries went fine, but they weren't blown away by them being anything out of the ordinary great. Service was strong. Always around when we needed him. Food came out fast, and the order was correct. We don't eat a lot of burgers, but I'm sure we'll be back here at some point.

A couple of months ago, a male server approached us and explicitly stated he was helping us because the female servers "didn't want to." Today, we experienced that same poor, delayed service firsthand. The male server gave us the "Gen Z stare" the entire time, walking away after taking drink orders instead of sticking around to take our food orders--even though the restaurant was not busy. Because of this slow and dismissive treatment, we ended up leaving without ordering food. Meanwhile, it was impossible to ignore the attentive, superior service the male patrons were receiving. It's no wonder this place has become a boys' club. Sadly, after today, we will not be returning.

Block & Bottle - If you're hungry, have the black and blue burger with the truffle fries and a side of the Dragon's Milk Stout.

We stopped in for brunch and everything we ordered was really good, but the Breakfast Hangover Burger completely stole the show for me. A burger topped with smoked ham, an over easy egg, avocado, American cheese, jalapeños, fried onion straws, and sriracha aioli sounds like someone lost a bet and just kept adding ingredients. Somehow it all works perfectly. We also ordered the Monte Cristo, which was crispy, cheesy, and exactly what I want when I order a Monte Cristo. Another highlight weee the donuts. Fresh, hot, and perfect for sharing. The service was great, the food came out quickly, and the whole experience was just really enjoyable. Definitely worth the trip.

As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

It has always offered decent service and good food, with your typical brewery atmosphere. I went with some friends yesterday, and I was shocked at how much food was cut back. I think they must have watched the episode of The Bear where the Chef is told to cut the food portions by 15%, but I think they heard 50%. I ordered one pork belly taco off the Taco Tuesday menu. While it was very good, the amount of filling was ridiculous. I would venture to say a teaspoon, maybe 2 at most. They use the street taco-size flour tortillas, and it was still underfilled. It still would have been if I had torn the tortilla in 1/2. I also ordered the prime rib eggrolls, while again good, but they were 1/4 full of filling, and most of that was lettuce and veggies, definitely gaps between the filling and the wrapper. The PR eggrolls were always my go-to because they were so good, and they always had plenty of prime rib in them. No gaps between the filling and the wrapper, as they were yesterday. I did mention it to the waitress, and she really didn't care. Otherwise, she was a fine waitress. I wasn't looking for a handout, but I definitely felt that she should have acknowledged it and said she would pass the info to the manager. I would have preferred the price to be a buck or two more than to pay less and feel like I was ripped off. I will try it again, but if it's the same I would not go back.

Danielle's Scratch Kitchen is damn near the same as what I am used to. The chicken parm might be the best I've had (other than what mama made). My wife and I each started with a glass of wine, and then even though we hadn't planned to get an appetizer, we decided to order a side of bread with oil. The bread was amazing! It was a large order, and both the consistency and flavor were fantastic. There were a few different dishes I was considering, including the halibut, but since this was our first visit, I decided to go with the chicken Marsala, which many on here have raved about. First, it was a big portion with two large chicken breasts. On a future visit, my wife and I could split an appetizer or salad and then one order of the chicken. Next, flavor of everything was wonderful. Unlike a typical Marsala, which can be very heavy and overpowering, this sauce was lighter...in color, consistency, and taste. It was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Asparagus and potatoes were delicious too. My wife got the ravioli with pesto, and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Service was warm, pleasant, there when we needed it, but not overpowering, exactly what you'd hope for and expect from a restaurant of this stature. Very happy we finally got here. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
