The holiday ornament class was AMAZING. I would definitely return with friends or for a date night. The activity was prepped for us, and included many options. The instructors were obviously very experienced with teaching the class. All of the instructions were simple, and we were able to do the activity while also chatting away. It's also very close to many Pearl St. restaurants, so we were able to head to early dinner after the class! Yes, there is stunning, hard to find glass for artists but you will also find the friendliest, warmest people on Pearl Street. Half the time I go in for the conversation as much as for the stellar glass and supply selection. Have a project and need the perfect sheet of glass to complete it? Say no more. Sarah, the shop manager, will help you find exactly what you need. She recently helped me find the most beautiful sheet to use for a now cherished birthday gift for my sister-in-law. Haven't started your journey as a stained glass artist yet? No problem. Meggy, the owner, teaches all levels of stained glass for those that aren't yet versed in flux and solder. I personally have taken the one day beginner class, the pattern drawing class, the pressed flowers class, a lead and hobby came framing class, and a Morton system panel class. Every single class was amazing! She is patient, kind, and genuinely interested in helping every student in the class grow as an artist. Went for the date night and it was a cool experience, the staff were very nice! I just wish that for the price, we would at least be able to see the process of how the glass is actually stained and learn more about that, as it was explained that the staining process takes a long time and with the time we had, that's not something we would be able to do. Maybe even extending the class 30 minutes would give an opportunity to show the behind the scenes, and it could give an opportunity for people to be interested in the other classes that are offered! read more

This is a must see stop if you are visiting the Denver area!The owner Meggy has a beautiful shop here where she sells stained glass art, gorgeous glass sheets and supplies as well as teaches a variety of stained glass related classes. I drove from San Diego to take a class here and had an amazing time. I took a leased panel stained glass class and learned new techniques to bring home to improve my own work. Meggy is very sweet and patient with everyone and I consistently felt guided. Anyone can learn stained glass with Meggy as their instructor. I can't wait to come back! What a FUN experience!!! Stained glass is a daunting craft because there are so many elements, but the team at Colorado Glass Works prepared the "kit" for us to have the experience but not be overwhelmed. We got the pattern, glass pieces and then we foiled and soldered. It was the perfect bite size experience for a date night activity and left us wanting more!!! What a great experience the beginner class was! So much and a very patient instructor!

My husband and I signed up for date night! We had a great time! The area was comfortable and spacious for all 14 couples. The owner and her staff were funny, engaging and excellent in educating us on how to make our own stained glass. We are already looking into another class to make a larger piece together. I made a moderately large stained glass window for my son's front door. He lives in Boulder and after carefully transporting the window to Boulder from California I wasn't sure how I would get the window installed. I inquired about installation at Colorado Glass Works, because they are a local stained glass store in Boulder. The owner of Colorado Glass Works, Meggy, offered to help me if I couldn't find a glazier to do the job. Not only were the few "local" glaziers very expensive, but they were not as responsive as she was. She is amazing!! She is extremely helpful and responsive, as I said, and was able to get the window installed by a contractor friend of hers, under her supervision, and at a reasonable price. She also sells stained glass supplies and teaches classes. I highly recommend her services. She is a delight to work with! Thank you Meggy!!! read more
