I've been a customer of theirs for a while. However, I've had some issues working with the acrylic finish on the back of laser pieces I cut. I emailed and asked if it could be left off the wood strips I ordered next. Jana emailed back that they could, but to note it on the order. So I place the order, noted in the order comments to leave it off the back, but when I receive my order, both sides are finished with acrylic. I email Jana, copying our original conversation and point out the mistake and that their order system doesn't even populate the order comments onto any of their docs -- not the invoice, order confirmation, etc. She tells me I should have noticed that before the order showed up and emailed them about it. No apology. No acknowledgement of error. No offer to make it right. In other words, if you have a special request, you need to tell them three or more times along with reminding them with every part of their multi step invoicing process. I'll be looking at Trotec Materials, Johnson's Plastics and others for my laser materials now. read more

I don't usually leave 5-star reviews, especially for places that haven't claimed their businesses, but I had to write this one. Yesterday, I broke a strip of wood that I had previously purchased from Colorado Heirloom (it was solid maple, and in hindsight probably not the right wood to use - I did reuse the pieces for another project, so no huge loss). I called Colorado Heirloom at about 3:45 in the afternoon to order similarly stained birch plywood (for greater strength and flexibility), and asked if I could have it today. They took my information and called me back 10 minutes later saying they could do it and I could pick it up after noon today. This morning, before I got in to the office (admittedly I got in rather late, so after 9:00), they left a message saying it was ready if I wanted to pick it up early (I got the message pretty close to noon, but extra points to them for being so quick). When I arrived around 12:30pm, they quickly wrapped up my three stained and finished strips of plywood and sent me on my way, charging my card on file. I have to say that they really went out of their way to save my bacon so I could finish the project on time to ship this evening! Grade A customer service and I highly recommend the quality of their products. I did manage to re-cut the project and the new wood behaved beautifully. read more
