The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This is a regional rec center…read morethat not only offers classes, workout equipment & a gym but it also has basketball, pickle ball, volleyball & an indoor pool with a lazy river. This facility has a wall of huge windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's kept up & clean. There's always plenty of parking...there are even charging stations for electric vehicles. Note, membership is free for Denver residents that are 60+ & those ages 5-18. With membership you have access to all 30 Denver rec centers & pools. I regularly go to two classes - one is a Cardio & Strength class & the other is Tai Chi, both are drop-in. The instructors are fun & very knowledgeable. Christine teaches the cardio class & always demonstrates modifications, so it's perfect for all levels of fitness. Maureen is very well versed in Tai Chi as well. This is a fantastic center with fabulous instructors.

I had such a great time playing through the organization "meet, play, chill" and drinking was allowed so that made it even more fun! If you have played here, you know it's hot, though they do try to combat this with giant fans. My #1 issue is the lack of room for guests/watchers. I would always invite friends and family to our games and they would sadly sit one the concrete floor. I understand that is how this place was built, but just an honest review in comparison to some of the other facilities I've played at! Glad it's still around. The desk with snacks also has a ball pump which is super helpful. Also shouts out Orlando, he is such a kind, fun, and honest ref.

One side of concessions area was the fundraising food service. And an inner room for vendors. The larger event space for performances. Lots of parking outside. Nice space.

The security staff is so rude. I had an empty Starbucks cup, and the security guard (girl on 2/8/26…read morewith a pony tail and green vest)acted like it was drugs or I was dealing cocaine but nope it was an empty Starbucks cup. It was an EMPTY CUP and she yelled at me to throw it away after I had been in the facility for a hour and half. Why can't I have an empty cup? They sell coffee and people don't have lids on and other people have yeti cups all over. I definitely felt targeted. I was holding onto said cup to recycle it and THE CUP was EMPTY! Seriously she was so rude. I hope I NEVER ever have to come back to this facility ever again due to how they treat people. There was nothing in the cup. Ugh, I hate Aurora and this just adds the grossness to the area with the rude employees. Avoid at all costs. It would get a ZERO stars if that was an option.

The fitness and weights area is a little small, but it has everything that most people need. They're slowly starting to increase fitness class offerings, and they currently offer cooking classes. Most afternoons, they have free meals available for kids who need a good meal. Best of all, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They always have a smile on their faces. They know a lot of the visitors by name. In particular, Jennifer and Lupe are to be commended for going out of their way to make sure kids have a great experience at Moorhead Rec Center. I cannot speak highly enough about these two ladies.

I received a few reminders to be at the lesson. When we arrived on the correct date and time, we were told by the Ice Arena that Lace 'Em Up did not book a time with them so there would be no class. I left a few messages and became concerned when we did not hear back. But several days later Lace 'Em up did repeatedly apologize and seemed earnest (the class shouldn't have shown up as an option on the website). They are working on sending me a refund, and Lace 'Em Up genuinely wants to see my son skate, so we are figuring it out. Sounds like a great experience once you get in, but may be some hiccups along the way.

The fields are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. There are plenty of places to sit to watch from all angles. I love that they also offer birthday parties with inflatables as well as a fully stocked snack bar (beer included!). The memberships are a fair price and I feel like we get our monies worth each week. There were so many time slots to choose from and classes starting at 18 mo. Definitely worth checking out if you have an active kiddo.
