I never thought I would be in need of the services that Colorado Elder Care Solutions provides. But…read morerecently I found myself dealing with my husband's serious health and cognitive challenges. It's hard to describe the anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, and confusion that I experienced trying to do my best to care for his needs - and mine. I felt I was stretched beyond my ability to cope. I was extremely fortunate to have had Karen to guide and support me through situation after situation. She was not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable but was able to think clearly when I was not. I was so impressed with her demeanor - calm, caring and respectful. It is important to note that I never felt she was taking over. I experienced her as a partner who cared as much as I did about finding the best solutions. Her expertise was so impressive, knowing exactly what the next step should be and how I might best accomplish it. My whole experience was like a breath of much needed fresh air, giving me support, hope and the resources I needed to get through each challenge I was facing. I would not hesitate to entrust Colorado Elder Care with any one of my family members or friends. I have the utmost confidence that they would receive all that they need to facilitate the best outcome for all concerned.

Years back, when my father experienced early signs of dementia, Ms. Buchanan of Colorado Elder Care…read moreSolutions stepped in to provide us support. My sister and I live out of state, over a thousand miles away, which made it very stressful managing his escalating needs. However, Colorado Eldercare Solutions found him a subsidized senior housing complex that was secure, located in a very walkable neighborhood of Englewood, and guided us in setting up support services for his medical and social needs. Simple things like a phone with larger buttons and easy to use message retrieval were helpful in ensuring we could communicate with our father. The medical box set up and monitoring system helped us manage his on-going and complex prescription needs. Additionally, she helped ensure he was getting proper nutrition and had a support system to check in on him to make sure he remained active and engaged in the community. I believe his quality of life was tremendously enhanced by the support and care they extended. And, I know it gave me greater piece of mind knowing that there was someone close who could make a visit to see how Dad was doing when we couldn't get in touch. I can recommend Colorado Elder Care solutions without any reservations.

We have had the…read moresame OT and PT this whole time which says a lot about how they treat their employees; great retention and continuation of care for patients. Their clinicians are respectful of your time and home. I also appreciate how helpful their office staff is with getting wound care supplies and the wheelchair we needed. They followed up on our behalf and made sure we were kept in the loop. We have had 2 other companies before RGA but they don't hold a candle to them. They aren't a big corporation but I think that's why they are so good at what they do.

They have good communication to ensure immediate and proper care is delivered and keeps the family involved. I get very good feedback from my patients about their clinicians so I know they are being well taken care of. Regina is the account manager I've been working with because she is very knowledgeable about the healthcare industry and can recommend quality companies like non skilled, PCPs, ALFs, etc. that she has worked with for years. So if you have any questions, she can really help. Overall they are a small, local and very good company to take care of your loved ones.

Weird management. I mentioned to them their reviews weren't that great and they replied they have a…read more4.7 star google rating. A few days later I saw their several 1 star reviews here on Yelp all disappear and only 2 reviews remained. One 1 star and one 5 star. The 1 stars consistently had a theme of being overcharged or charged for things that never performed. So when setting up the paperwork for their services I made sure it was not on auto payment. To dis-incentivize from paying by check they required some crazy amount upfront as a deposit. Check was the preferred payment but they have a $150 service fee to even start service. They insisted it be paid before anything started, like they didn't trust me to pay it, and offered check and credit cards as payment options. I offered to meet her with the check the morning of the first day of service, but she couldn't meet so i offered to pay by credit card, but to please send me an invoice or request for payment for the $150 (assumably with info of how to provide the credit card payment). After thinking about it more, paying by credit card seemed safer since I saw there were so many issues with others paying for services not executed, but she refused to send an "invoice" and after which she said what was requested is not in their scope. I asked specifically what was not in scope but several months later and still no response. Each Visiting Angels is a franchise so you will get totally different teams with each location. I remember years ago they were so messed up they didn't even return calls for a long time, and when they did they were still super disorganized. I hope if in my lifetime I get a visiting angel some day, that it isn't a revenue driven one, which is the opposite of what an angel is all about. Some may have great experiences with them, but just the upfront process of them being super nice sales people quickly turned into craziness on a dime. Perhaps I dodged a bullet and just saved myself a huge nightmare of a future situation. So perhaps I should feel very lucky. I honestly, with two different bad situations, think this organization is off my list for any considerations ever, and recommend you dig further to ensure they are a "match" for what you are looking for. At $60/an hour for custom care (-at a facility) vs your home) and $47/hr for in home companionship, they seem a bit pricey to me since none are skilled and am sure many are not US Citizens. Wonder if my review will disappear too?

First, was good but, then it became a us vs them mentality and especially family members.
