This review is for the new Longmeadow locattion A friendly local shop, solid service, and a welcome addition to our Shaker Road Shopping Plaza Colorado Bike & Ski on Shaker Road Stopped into Colorado Bike & Ski, right where Armata's Market used to be on Shaker Road, and the experience was excellent. This was my second visit, and both times the staff took good care of me. During their soft opening, they tuned up our bicycles and did quality work at a fair price. This week, I needed a few pedal bolts loosened to make bike transport easier. They had me stop in, fixed it quickly, and sent me on my way. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They showed me some impressive new bikes, including cool electric models and one with eye-catching balloon tires. This time of year, the focus is clearly skis. They had plenty of ski gear and cold-weather clothing on display, ready for winter. I missed the grand opening, but the service won me over anyway. I recently ordered a new pair of Blizzard Rustler 10 skis, and this shop was absolutely fantastic to work with. They took the time to answer all of my questions, made sure my bindings were set up correctly, and really went the extra mile when they found out I had an upcoming ski trip. They had everything mounted and shipped out the very next day so I'd have them in time--service like that is hard to find. Communication was excellent, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Awesome shop, awesome people, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. Highly recommend! read more

Got a tune-up for brakes and after i road it brakes did not work at all and less then a month later brakes started to lock.

Zero stars if i could. bought brand new K2 skis with bindings from colorado for over 800 dollars. I requested center mounted and the tech mounted them wrong and now there are drill holes visible on brand new skis. Horrible customer service, all they did was say the tech was sorry. read more

BUYER BEWARE - do NOT waste your time here. I have recently moved from out of state and am no longer with a local ski shop. I drove a half hour to stop in and grab a pair of boots and bindings hopefully during the end-of-season sale. A short man with a large beard approached me, after coming in from the parking lot (whom I passed walking into the store). I asked him what he thought of a Salomon boot and he immediately told me his boot fitter was busy waxing skis, not to waste his time, and that to try a boot on would be $25 dollars if he "even had my size," in a rude and accusatory manner. He then turned his back to me immediately, walked outside to the parking lot, and continued smoke a cigarette and talk to a woman in an Acura. I am not sure what I did to upset him so much, our interaction was solely based on me asking him about what he thought of a boot. I told the cashier to notify the store owner of this poor experience. She was red in the face from embarrassment having watched this entire interaction. She advised me apparently this man was the owner. I just came from a ski trip out west and had several wonderful experiences with boot fitters getting educated on what equipment work for me. I wish I just bought out there and bought a bag and paid the extra luggage fee. I gladly (and thankfully) will not be spending money in this place for someone who cares so little about customers. I have built many great relationships with store owners/employees in the past, relationships based on the love of the sport of skiing. Clearly, this guy must be a ski collector who expects customers to pay him for the privilege of looking at items. What a shame. Avoid at all costs. read more

We rented skis for my son and my granddaughter for a weekend ski trip. My granddaughter was in a lesson and was having difficulty keeping the boot in one of the skis. the ski instructor at Sugarbush said that the binding on one of the skis was loose which was the reason her boot would not stay in the binding. The ski instructor tightened it up, which was helpful. However, it needed to be tightened several times over the weekend because it continued to come loose and her foot kept slipping out of the ski. When my husband returned the skis and told the older gentleman with a beard that we were having difficulty with the binding he push the boot into the binding and said "see it stays in" It was a sarcastic reaction to a problem that didn't take into account my granddaughter's trying to use the skis. My recommendation is if you are renting skis, rent them from where you can get them tuned if they need to be adjusted. We will be renting skis again but never again from Colorado ski shop. read more

From answering the phone to pick up and drop off of the ski and snowboard rentals, the customer service was terrific. The staff was helpful and attentive. We were able to rent online, show up, pick up, and off to the slopes. I always find renting boots to be tricky. My boots felt amazing and my skis seemed new. We were comfortable and the gear was in great condition. It is nice to be treated nicely and for the rental to go so smoothly. It made our trip even better. read more

Flew in from from a warm weather place to here in order to go snowboarding. My wife and I are both from cold weather places originally so we did some research and decided to come to the area for some slope time. I had a brand new board that was in need of waxing so I called this place from the airplane while we were taxiing to the terminal. They told me they could get me in and out the same day. When I dropped in, there was a woman at the counter who was extremely nice. She asked me all the right questions to ensure that we got my board back at the most convenient time for us. It was great, it allowed me and my wife to get lunch, hang out and then check in to our airbnb. Excellent selection of clothes and gear. Seemed like most of the snowboard stock was K2. Great place, great service and nice folks. You should drop by. read more

Don't waste your time here, got bindings done that broke after 2 months. Brought them back for a brake fix, waited 7 months for just one ski brake. The brake broke again 1 month later and was not installed properly. It was too tight and didn't activate when it is supposed to. read more

Excellent quality with excellent service. I took my bike in over the winter to get assembled so I could keep the manufacturers warranty. After 4 rides in, I was having some issues. I brought my bike down and they quickly fixed what was wrong (for free, things were loose or I didn't have the correct tool). I asked some questions and they helped me out and sent me on my way with a ridable bike as well as the tools needed to get my bike in and out of places. After being sidelined from snowboarding for five years I finally decided to hop back on. After realizing I had out grown a few things, I was in desperate need of some accessories. I cannot speak to how well they fit you into skis, boards, or boots. However, if it is anything like how they treated me for new goggles and a helmet it will be superb. They asked all the right questions and did not push me towards higher on anything at all, but rather gave me options. Specifically with goggles, as I wear eyeglasses. I expressed this to the sales woman who promptly grabbed four different style of goggles, and laid them out for me. She explained the key differences, and left me to try them on. I was thrilled to have received the attention I did because the shop was extremely busy. If you live in Western Mass or somehow are passing through and realized you've forgotten something, this is the place to stop. read more

In Seattle Evo has been my go-to shop for a decade, but since expanding the service & employees have gone down hill. I ordered some Marker Tour Bindings from Colorado Ski and Sarah from customer service was outstanding. During Covid I have been in the habit of calling before or after placing online orders to verify stock, here is how my interaction happened with the gal that helped me: 1. Forgot to call before placing the order, so I called after & asked to verify if it is in stock. Sarah looked and didn't see it at this location, so she got my contact info, & said she would check the other location. 2. I actually got a call back and an email from Sarah! This is refreshing, so many companies these days blow customers off or don't try to reach them very well. Following up via two methods ensured the sale happened! 3. They didn't have it in stock, but they were able to tell me about something similar and shipped it out the next day! 4. This took about two days to sort out and the product arrived still within a week from the other side of the country. This is why you support small businesses, they care and value their customers. read more

My brand new skis showed up a week late with spots of rusts on the edges and damage to the bases on both skis. I emailed Colorado Ski shop asking for replacements or a credit in the amount it would cost me to have a local shop do a base and edge grind. I was ignored. read more

Great dealing with an annoying customer (me), shoutout to Brandon for helping me out! I ordered a pair of skis online that I had demoed last season; I forgot the exact length I had worn and I contacted the ski rental shop from Utah. They gave me the wrong size (193cm), and I ordered the skis from Colorado Ski Shop, who had the best price I could find online including bindings and a free mounting. Then, after ordering, the rental shop I used contacted me - OOPS, you were actually wearing 185cm! Huge problem. I called Colorado Ski Shop and got Brandon - they intercepted my order (which was JUST about to get the bindings mounted), and swapped out my skis for the right size. They also delayed shipping so I can be sure I was home when the skis are delivered to me in Los Angeles. I was a huge annoying customer and despite my screwup, they saved me and got me the right skis for me at a great price! They've shipped on the way here and I'll order future purchases from this helpful crew. read more

Great place, very good customer service. They sell everything for skis and snowboards (and bikes during summer), but it seems the main focus is skis. This past autumn I dropped close to a grand for skis, and they gave me a pretty big discount and free mounting and waxing. Has a nice local feel to it. Great selection of skis and accessories. Needed skis for next day skiing trip and this was the first shop that I happened to lay eyes on. How extremely lucky for me! Guy knew his skis inside out and hooked me up with skis and boots right away. Knew what I wanted and hooked me up right away. When it came time to check out he even factored in a discount for me, without me even asking. Did some research the next day on my gear and it was according to my online research, probably the cheapest I could have gotten at the retail level. Went here to get my snowboard waxed and edges fixed for the season. I was curious as to the condition of my board since it had been under a bed at my parent's house for the last 12 years. I had only used it for one season and I hadn't put a thick wax layer on it for storage (which is recommended). They had a 3 day turnaround and the waxing was ok. They only did the flat portion of the board skipping the tail and nose of the board. Honestly I don't think this will affect my ride much I'm just a perfectionist and prefer the entire underside of the board to be waxed. All the edges looked good free of nicks and surface rust. Their selection of ski equipment is better than their snowboard equipment, but you can only fit so much into a small shop. All of the staff members I've interacted with have been very friendly and approachable. Overall good service, I just wish they had a little better attention to detail. read more

What a great experience! My husband and daughter started skiing last January and we went here last weekend to check out gear for my husband for the up coming season. The staff is very knowledgable and extremely helpful. We found out that they rent equipment as well. Our daughter is still growing so we didn't want to invest in personal gear quite yet. We were able to give them her height and weight and when it's closer to ski time she can get fitted to rental equipment just for her. We did it on tax free weekend so were able to take advantage of that as well. read more

A gentleman by the name of Adam J. helped me to resolve all issues in a professional and timely matter. He was friendly, courteous and more than helpful. Adam spent substantial time (more than most would) to resolve this issue. It was great to have someone so very personable and knowledgeable give me support when dealing with the manufacturer. This shop by way of their great staff follows up and gives great customer service after the sale has been completed! This is why I will be purchasing all my gear to come from Colorado Ski Shop. These guys are kind of a joke. I ordered 3 pairs of skis 3 weeks ago. I never received an invoice at first which I thought was strange, but having worked in a small ski shop I found it understandable. After a week and no skis arriving at my door I called them. Apparently they had my email address wrong and would send the invoice. I waited another couple of days still no invoice. I called back this is at about the beginning of 2 week and they said no problem we don't do invoiced until they ship. I was surprised they had not shipped but still its October I don't really need the skis. An invoice finally arrived at the end of week 2. The merchandise on the invoice was wrong and my credit card was charged $100 more than expected. I called and was told they would get back to me. No response. I call again and I get another person and they are going to look into it. It turns out they never had the merchandise I wanted and then substituted the other version (different model year ski) and charged me for the delta on the model year price. I called back yet again. They said all they can do is cancel the order they cannot give the new model year at the old price despite me waiting 3 weeks for the merchandise at this point. I asked for the owner to call me and was told that probably would not happen. So from all of this I will say I do not think it is worth dealing with them despite the fact that their prices are competitive with other online retailers. I hate to do this to what I believe is a small privately owned business, but I also cannot accept shoddy customer service. They need to know about their problems in order to grow and survive as a business. read more
