I booked a Hillsdale College Cruise through this agency. They recommended I buy my trip insurance…read morethrough their vendor AIG Brand. The Cruise filed for bankruptcy and went out of business. I filed my trip insurance claim with AIG. I heard nothing from them for 30 days. I called them and they said They didn't know if I would be reimbursed. Called Global Tracks. They intervened and I received an e-mail from AIG asking me to have my credit card company reimburse me. I told them my credit card company is not an insurance company and they will not reimburse for charges made with a company no longer in operation. It's been 75 days now and I've had to file a claim in bankruptcy court against the cruise line. Literally looking at cents on the dollar. Global Tracks can't understand why my credit card company won't reimburse me. I told them I bought trip insurance for a reason from a vendor they recommended. I was told that if I got reimbursed by the Trip Insurance and the Bankruptcy Court it wouldn't be fair to their vendor. I told Global Tracks if the trip insurance did reimburse me I would drop my bankruptcy claim. What happened to customer service? I'm out $7,400 plus trip insurance due to a crooked vendor recommended by this company. Thank you Global Tracks for your diligence and vetting of trip insurance vendors. A total nightmare.

We hired this woman Vicki to arrange our flight to Hawaii because we were traveling with pets and…read morethe processes seemed complicated to us. We told her we wanted the cheapest option with as little travel (layover) for pets as possible. She booked us a non refundable flight with Delta. She got us a good rate so we accepted this. But she didn't ask us if we wanted refundable tickets. As the flight got closer I looked to see how much it would cost for the pets to travel and I found out that it was going to be $875. Delta does not let your pets fly as baggage they have to be shipped as cargo which is very expensive and not as safe for the pets. I wish she would have MENTIONED THIS! I looked around at other airlines and found that some let them let pets fly as baggage for MUCH less. When I called to complain about this blunder Vicki said the flight could not be refunded and when I got upset about this she hung up on me. I called back and She offered no apology and no compensation and she was very rude and unprofessional. Even before this she is also bad about returning emails and calls. Do not recommend!!

This brings back fond memories for me…read more My husband and I had taken an outdoor education class here that was offered through Western State College almost 30 years ago. Even though we lived in the area for many years, this is the first time we have been back since. It is a most excellent stopping spot when making the drive along US 50. It is also the main ranger station for Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and for the Curecanti National Recreation Area. The staff are very helpful and informative (as to be expected from NPS staff). There are public facilities here and a small retail space for the requisite NPS tchotchkes. You can also get your passport stamps for all the area National Park sites. There is a nice restaurant at the Marina, but it is only open during the summer season.

A number of items are for sale: books, maps, and tourist trinkets. Public restrooms are available here, as well as a water fountain - and cold bottled water is available for purchase.
