The campground offers lots to do for all ages and is also a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the beauties of nature. We visited in the summer and would definitely come back for future summer trips but also hope to experience Pagosa and Pagosa Riverside Campground in the fall.

Instead, we were in the middle of a gravel parking lot 3 feet between the various RVs. We dare open our windows as we could wave at our neighbors. We could hand them a cup of coffee we were so close. If we opened our windows, we could see the back end of the pick up truck or RV in front of us or our truck behind us. It was so disappointing. The dog walk was a long hike away and the only way you could see the river was to get out of your RV and walk over to the buildings and look down several feet hundreds of feet to the river. We will not stay here again.

The pool/hot springs are split into 2 primary areas. One big area that is meant for all with a kids pool, large hot springs pool with diving boards for all to have fun, a snack bar with lots of goodies (but you can bring your own food in too if you want, which is great for families on a budget), a grassy picnic area, basketball court, and a small toddler friendly slide area as well. You can also rent cabanas. The other area is for 21+ in the greenhouse. It's fully separated from the family area and is an adult atmosphere. There is a bar, snack bar with a limited menu, dense lush greenery, and numerous hot pools of varying temps. There is also a sauna for sweating it out. We spend a lot of time here relaxing and enjoying the pool and cocktails. This is a great place to spend the day or evening. This is not a high end spa but a mid-tier budget friendly option that is well worth it. My only criticism is that the locker rooms could use some updating, but I'll still take it!

I noticed a review mentioning there weren't enough bathrooms, but that wasn't our experience at all. We never had an issue, and the facilities were always clean and well maintained. Check-in was quick and easy, the campground was clean, and everyone we encountered was friendly. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax. We stayed during a fire ban, and the campground handled everything well without any issues. One of the highlights of our trip was taking our kids for ice cream at the campground. They serve ice cream every evening from 6-9 p.m. (except Sundays, if I remember correctly), and it was such a fun treat that our kids looked forward to. It was a small touch that made our stay even more memorable. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and welcoming campground. We can't wait to come back!

"Naturalism" (aka nudism) was one of the founders aims & it's common to see folks not only speaking, but hiking up the trails au natural. And the trails are amazing, as are the views, the springs, the Astronomy pad, the very kind staff, & the wildlife viewing. Along with the keeping it natural vibe, is the dedication to keeping it affordable & family friendly. Cabins & bunk house with shared no frills bathrooms & showers, a well equipped camper kitchen & VERY affordable rates are all part of this effort. Personally, I appreciate the rules & the emphasis on everyone being responsible for making this a comfortable, safe & welcome space for all. Anytime I'm in the neighborhood, I'll be back. It was more like a tiny home or bunk house. But it had electricity, lights and also a space heater to help keep us warm at night. it had 2 bunk beds and then on bigger size bed and a little bit of floor space. We were right next to the river and it was a really lovely view. Prices were fair. And the camp hosts were welcoming and friendly. The bathroom had shower curtains for the doors on the stalls and on the shower. We could not find a water fill station. They do have onsite ice and wood you can purchase for fair prices. It was a beautiful little area just outside of lake city We would definitely stay again if we were back in the area. The water went out one night and we were not able to take a shower that night. The camp host seemed surprised that we didn't have ability to shower in a RV. We were renting a cabin...... We had been climbing 14ers the last few days and just wanted a shower but alas it was not meant to be. Wish they would have put a sign on the door to explain what was going on instead of just locking the bathroom from the inside. We thought someone had just locked themselves in because of the curtain on the shower i went to ask about it and then was told that the water was out. Just put up a little communication about it to inform your guests :) Otherwise wonderful stay.
