I love this store. Becky and David are the best and they always offer their assistance and I appreciate their help. Their service far surpasses Crate and Barrel or Living Spaces by far. I do not enjoy shopping in department chain stores where everything is the same old blah, blah, blah and they follow you around constantly. Colors has very interesting pieces that are new and some consignment too. They don't overload the showroom with boring out dated pieces. I have had great success and walked out satisfied with my purchases over the years. Thank you Colors for selling classy and current styles with a touch of elegance. Their is nothing wrong with the furniture itself it is the terrible customer service inside the store. Becky is probably the worst sales person and believes she knows everything, acts like a snob, and constantly tells you what you need to like. Don't waste your time Becky acts like she owns the place and only wants wealthy buyers or elite people in the store. Its too bad the owner does not see what becky really is when it comes to customer service. Will not shop here again or my friends and family and lacks professional store environment like Scottsdale consignment stores or living spaces. I come in this shop almost weekly to browse.. I have very particular taste, for the last year I have been going in browsing. the staff is so nice letting me come in check things out and even took time to get to know me, even though I haven't bought anything for the majority of the year. I finally found something right up my alley and made a huge purchase with them. They were so nice helping me load it in my car and really made the purchase Soo easy. My family and I stopped into this place yesterday. Some items are priced better than others. There were a beautiful set of panels located behind their desk that my partner and I wanted to take a closer look at. I asked the female if we could take a closer look and she accommodated us. The male made a snide snickering remark that the panels are $2500 before we proceeded to look at the panels. I'm not sure what the purpose was in him saying that, other than he took issue with our age or ethnicity that we possibly couldn't afford the items?? I would have questioned him but my mother-in-law was with me and I did not want to make her uncomfortable. We chose not to buy a few items we saw due to his comment and not sure if we will go back due to his negative comment/assumption of us. Nice store but not great experience. read more

I love the condition of the furniture at Colors. It's obvious the workers value it too, because if they have to stack something in the store, they put felt down first. I have been to every consignment shop listed in The NE Scottsdale area, and not one of them take care of their store like this. Because of their high attention to detail, their merchandise is constantly changing. In addition to consignment merchandise, they also carry new merchandise. I have bought 2 new things there, and I missed out on a couple of consignment items because someone else bought them while I was "thinking about it." I have worked with a few associates now, and they're always welcoming, polite, and accommodating. read more

I have bought several items from here in the past. I stopped in to buy a desk chair that had recently been taken in on consignment. I was told that it needed to be inspected before a price could be given to me. I told her I wanted the chair and to hold it for me. They took my name and number and told me they would call me the next day. I stopped in a week later and asked why they hadn't called me. The lady told me a customer came in the next day and bought it. I asked why she didn't call me and she said "that's the way consignment works you gotta act fast!" I reminded her that I wanted to buy it but she wouldn't sell it or price it without an inspection. She could care less. Never going back again. read more

This place is a total scam. Please take this review seriously because I gave the owner Liz Solomon a piece furniture that was worth approximately between $2500.00 and $3100.00. On 2-1-16 and and additional two more pieces of furniture a week later. The other two pieces I haven't seen and they don't know where they are. Not only did I give them the furniture on consignment but was charged a $25.00 fee for picking them up approximately 4 blocks from the colors store located in fountain hills and my residence. I never heard from anyone reference the sale of the furniture until I went to the store in myself and didn't see it on the sales floor. I then was told that the desk worth $2500-3100 was sold May 13, 2016 for $1000.00 and I would receive $475.00 in which $ 25.00 was being deducted for the pickup.!!! I was basically ROBBED!!! I didn't receive my money until June 14,2016 a month later.!!! Folks please take my review serious this owner Liz is not a good person or a good business person. Great pitch, but poor business practices. My wife and I went to their main showroom to look for furniture. The owner?, Liz, told us about all their great stuff and good deals, but we didn't find anything of interest at that location. When we went to their other location, we found a chair of interest that was marked $399.00. I asked the salesperson if any discount was available and she said that she would knock 20% off the price of $399.00. When I asked about delivery charges, she said she had to call Liz to find out. Suddenly, I hear from the salesperson that the chair should actually have been marked $419.00 and that no discount was available. Yowsa. That is a STUPID way to do business. Liz and I exchanged a few emails, but she NEVER supported the salesperson's original offer and refused to understand how this looked from my perspective. BEWARE! I had a very bad experience with Liz at Colors Consignment. First, I hired her moving company ("Moving On") to move us from our 4500 sq ft home to our 2200 sq ft home. Her movers were very inexperienced and, in turn, scratched many pieces of our furniture. When we consigned 4 pieces of furniture, Liz suddenly treated me like a pest, instead of a valued customer! Liz took $129 out of one of my furniture checks as a "pick-up charge". I never agreed to this... and, remember, her moving vans were already working for us! She was short and rude when I called to check if anything had sold yet. It took many months to receive my monies after the items sold. I have never written a negative review in my life, but, I wanted to warn others about doing business with Liz ... whether you wish to consign or are planning a move. read more

Liz and David have been very easy to work with. We were very happy with the delivery crew and they picked up our items that we consigned. We have sold most of the items already and everything is spelled out for you in the paperwork prior to consigning, including the timeline when checks are disbursed.
