My hair feels like hay (not kidding). The natural texture of my hair is very fine & thin, so the damage from box dye is severe. This was my first time here and it was AWESOME! I got a layered cut, a blowout, and a hair gloss for about $150. I included my reference picture here that I showed the stylist and it's spot on. She recommended to blend in some awkward grown-out bang pieces so that it will better suit my face and that was such a good recommendation. She really knew what she was doing. I also have a scalp condition which makes my scalp sensitive and my hair has been thinning, so I've been nervous to have someone else cut/ brush it. Worst mani I've ever had and it was $50, never again As reply the owner's response, there was really bad weather yesterday and I was not able to make it. I do acknowledge the offer to re-do the nails but given that my first experience with the business was not great I see no point on going back when they might come off again within a day or two. Can't say enough good things about Colour Parlor. Whenever we travel back to Miami for family, always make appts to get my hair done. This trip was Keratin last week and toner today. Michelle (Follicle Fairy) is amazing. Her other stylist are amazing too. Today I overheard a conversation with one of the stylist with a customer. Instead of just doing what the client wanted, he explained to her what would happen if they attempted to do what she wanted. Instead he told her let's just do a haircut and go home and think it over now they she knew more about color pigmentation. I was really impressed as another salon would just have done what she wanted and she wouldn't have been happy with the results. They rather loose the $ instead of having an unhappy client. I'm still paying to fix all Soraya's mistakes and it has been 8 months, since the hair nightmare she put me through- Can't stand this place, ZERO stars if possible. Idk how they have great reviews- their unintentional ignorance is expensive. This place is the MOST UNprofessional and I'm still paying to fix all their mistakes in the long run, with intense repair hair shampoos and conditioners which my new TRUE Expert salon I go to has me on for repairing and fixing. Regret ever going to see Soraya and Michele so much. All the crap Soraya put my hair through created a band that I'm still working on removing from my hair- these days I can only wear wavy or curly hair or a hat. Even though my new hair dresser at a different salon is fierce, she clearly pointed out the mismatch of colors band that Soraya created all around the top portion of my hair- from the root of the ugly mismatching color burgundy to the brown- My hair repair process with a different salon has been a remarkable experience. Nobody would touch my hair after Soraya but my current NEW SALON took me in to heal my hair. Everyone else was scared my hair would break off (I could NOT dye my hair for 8 months!!!!!) My new hair salon also explained that I did NOT and that Soraya should NOT have ever had so much bleach and processing in my hair in such a short span of time because my hair lifts perfectly fine without bleach. it took me a month to build the emotional strength to write this, but do not under any circumstance let the man with dyed hair give you a hair cut unless you want to spend the month crying over how messed up you look during one of the most important months. i went in for a bang trim and came out butchered. the guy had clearly no idea what he was doing even though he definitely acted confidently and thank god i stopped him from cutting as much as he wanted to. this could've been 10x work and it's still BAD. another stylist stepped in and tried to fix it. she was sweet and clearly saw what horrible thing was happening. this man should not be allowed to cut hair. i left totally in shock and now have to wait until these grow out to fix it. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review before but there's no better time than now! This is now my 3rd year coming to Colour Parlor Hair & Nails. I came across the parlor during the pandemic scrolling through Instagram ( insomnia at its best) and I fell in love with what I saw so I reached out right away! First time visiting I won't lie, I was nervous! I love my long hair and didn't want to part ways with it but I needed a lot cut off because it was dry and damaged. I almost had a cow but Michelle assured me it wouldn't be so bad. She suggested to do layers, this way I got rid of the damaged areas but still got to keep some length as well. I love how she found a solution without going crazing cutting which is what I've encountered in the past with other salons. We did a deep conditioner treatment and she worked her magic. Once she was done I was amazed how healthy my hair looked. She did say I'd need to follow up with at home deep conditioner treatments to prevent my hair from over drying so much. (I have fine hair so it gets oily on the top but dry at the ends) Since then I've been trusting her with my hair. Fast forward to this year where I went again this past Friday to get my hair cut and I couldn't be happier. It was also nice seeing her face in person for the first time without a mask since I met her during the pandemic with a mask on LOL. I went to this place to dye my hair specifically with the owner Michelle. I asked for a cherry red hair color and I even picked the hair sample of the color I wanted. I ended up with bright magenta hair almost hot pink and then was told that they didn't have the color I wanted in stock at the shop and mixed colors to imitate red and just ruined my hair. I left there super unhappy, not even an apology. I felt super uncomfortable to go back for a fix because I was being told I needed multiple sessions which wasn't necessary, scared to get another bad result, and when I ask for a refund instead I was told she put the right color which it was not red or any way a shade of red. She refused a refund and blocked me on Instagram, super unprofessional salon and rude they insisted my color was red when I was clearly unhappy and not the right shade. I was even told I was color blind when I mentioned this wasn't red. The salon claimed that the color didn't take because my hair was "damaged" but I started off with virgin hair on my left side that Michelle bleached herself and it still came out magenta and not red. If the color was the true red I asked for and even picked in the samples, the right side especially would have turned out red not magenta. A color was created and mixed to imitate red without my knowledge (because the salon didn't have the red I wanted) and put onto my hair and that color ended up creating a magenta tone on my hair. I was charged full price for the service as well as not receiving any type of apology for messing up my hair color. I've never gone through such a bad experience with a salon and costumer service. Especially to go to the extent of being blocked on Instagram over a complaint and issue on the salon's part. I did not need multiple sessions to achieve red hair. She didn't file the extensions well so I scratched my face literally the moment I got to my car because the corners were sharp, 2 were uneven and the side of 1 nail was jagged. It's not like these nails are cheap. She made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't go back in there to ask to be fixed because honestly I thought I would cry. Jaliyah was very nice and kept asking me questions through out the process which made it easy to say if I wanted to cut a little more or do something different.
