Called this salon and was eager to get in there and try it out. The owner, Marianela was very nice over the phone and accommodated me for this afternoon. The place is very clean and the equipment from chairs, to pedi chairs and sinks are all new and very beautiful. I waited maybe about 10 mins. and was told about the different kinds of hair treatments as I had inquired about them before! The stylist, Soraida was also very nice and did a great job with my hair! I have known one of their stylists, George, for many years (since I was a teen, actually). Yes, I became a slave to hair dye since teenagedom. I lost touch with him, though eventually my sister got a hold of him and became a frequent, regular customer of his. In the meantime, I bounced from stylist to stylist. When I decided to become raven-haired, I didn't consider the fact that perhaps someday, I may want to go lighter. Eventually, that day came, and not knowing who to trust with such a delicate, complicated bleaching process (which can literally melt your hair, or make it all fall out), I trusted George to complete the task. He successfully transitioned me in one process to brunette, and monitored me throughout to make sure everything went smoothly. I stopped going to George after that and dyed my hair red for many years, at home, myself. During this time, my hair recovered further and got shiny, until I decided I was done being a redhead and wanted to be a brunette with thin, golden streaks. I found a stylist through a fellow mother at my child's school who recommended her stylist for the brown base and blonde highlights. I went to her a couple of times, and noticed the second time that my hair suddenly was increasingly blonder, and the brown base was getting copper-like. After she dyed the base brown, no sooner than 2-3 washes later, I was a blonde again, and I could not understand why, as she claimed she was only touching up my roots, not adding highlights, and actually adding more brown. As the months went by, I noticed my hair becoming frizzier and scraggly, even though I had only gone to her twice. I was losing massive amounts of hair and my hair looked so dry and dead. I panicked and realized that the highlights were damaging my hair and that I had to do something. Because of the massive damage to my hair (I assume she used a too-strong dose of bleach for the highlights), I knew it would be difficult to find a color dark enough that my hair would be able to hold, even if it faded, but not so dark that it would look dull (a/k/a the shoe polish look). I wanted something that would be close to my natural hair color, so that when my roots grew out, I would not get the infamous black roots and blonde tips, and I wanted it to look natural. George brought out a sample book and discussed two possible hair color options. I ended up picking the darkest option. He said my hair would look a lot healthier because dark hair reflects light, and the difference would be noticeable. He also gave me a trim. Though the color faded some, it is not his fault, as my hair became porous due to the damage from the highlights. Despite this, he offered to give me a retouch so I'd be happy and my hair would gradually start absorbing more color little by little. That was very kind of him. My hair feels much softer and thicker. Thanks to his haircut, my hair looks fuller and more voluminous, as he got rid of many of the layers I had in the back (layers in the back make your fine hair look thinner). I got a lot of compliments on my color, how it looked as if that were my natural color since it's close to the color of my eyebrows, and many people said this shade of brown actually brightens my face as the blonde washed me out. George said he could add some thin highlights maybe around summertime after my hair has gotten a chance to recover and grow out, but I may end up staying brunette for a bit longer. Called for a last minute (but very important) bang trim for my 3 year old (I know... this probably doesn't resonate with most people) but I've had a hard time getting someone to cut her bangs the way I like them. Straight and at the eyebrows. They fit me right in (phew!) and were so sweet with her from the second we walked in. I have been going to Dadeland Beauty Salon for a year. The staff is very professional and accommodating to clients needs. It is a very clean facility with a friendly atmosphere. My hairstylist for the last 15 years is Charo. She is professional, friendly, very knowledgeable about color and hairstyles, and extremely accommodating. During the last 15 years I have been extremely pleased with Charo's work on my hair. I have never heard a bad comment or a negative review on her work. She is very dedicated to her work, extremely knowledgeable and listens closely to her client requirements. I highly recommend Charo as your hair stylist. read more

I do not recommend this place especially for blondes with highlights or even a simple trim. I gave the persona that did my hair here more chances than I should have. She did a good job the first time but the other three times she messed up my color, my highlights and my haircut. She made my color orange instead of a light brown and gave me an all over blonde color another time when I asked for highlights. They don't know what they're doing here. I asked for a trim and she cut off all of my hair. The last time I was there was in February 2019 - that's when the hair stylist (Charo) cut my hair off. I asked for a trim and she did a horrible job and cut off a bunch more hair than she was supposed to. It is now August 2019 and I'm still trying to grow out my hair. I've been coming to Dadeland Beauty Salon for several years. I was originally a walk-in. Ruth does my nails. She is meticulous and excellent. Her demeanor is lovely and professional. The pedicures are great too! Everything is very clean. My manicures last for a week! I get my hair blown out with Stephanie. My blowout is always perfect and lasts for several days. I love that Stephanie listens to what I want to do and then executes with precision! She does a great hair wash too- brisk with some massage and a cool rinse!! HEAVEN!! Well, I definitely went in with a head of hay. The outcome was magnificant and very pleased. I was given some great advice how too move forward with my hair. Ramselis really knows what she is doing. I was really happy that I was able to communicate with her, past stylist didn't speak English. I had an appointment set days before at 4pm Sunday, and I felt like she didn't want my business. Maybe another stylist was suppose to do my hair and left and she was stuck with me. She was very rough, washing my hair was like an angry woman scrubbing a red wine stain out of a white carpet. Drying my hair she would constantly burn my scalp and acted angry the entire time. Just all around rough and not welcoming. Its ashame because the are reasonably priced. While she was crying my hair her next appointment arrived. She greeted her with a smile and offered her water coffee or tea. I would have loved to have been offered a water since I waited 45 minutes before she took me next and then stopped drying my hair to put color on her next client. Again no water. read more

I live and work around the dadeland/Pinecrest area and had passed by this place a ton of times and never noticed how nice it was inside. I saw their blow dry for $25 sign and when I showed up for my appointment I was really surprised. While I waited Marianela the owner, I think) spoke to me for a little while and was really friendly. The stylist Zoraida was really nice and the blow dry came out awesome. I really didn't expect much because of the price but I was very impressed. I have a ton of hair. Have never paid that price. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! They left my hair destroyed and are scammers. I got a "keratin" treatment done 2 weeks ago, and the lady I got (Demaris) completely destroyed my hair. I booked on their website "Brazilian Keratin", but it was definitely not that. They rinsed out the treatment which you are not supposed to do with real keratin, and then proceeded to fry my hair over and over. It left me with brittle and severely damaged hair, along with ruined blonde highlights to a dark yellow. It also turned strands of my blonde hair blue and green for some reason. It left a horrendous smell that I can not get rid of. This is NOT real keratin, and when I had to get my long damaged hair chopped off by another stylist, they said the same thing. I tried to ask the lady what brand of keratin it was and she wouldn't tell me, and gave me very vague answers as to why she was doing my hair this way. The lady that did my hair, along with the rest of the staff, barely spoke any English so the only way I could communicate was through translator on my phone, and she still did not understand what I wanted or was saying. I also saw another person getting blonde highlights done, and they turned out bright orange and they couldn't even fix it. Overall, the place was extremely unprofessional and bad. They scammed me out of my money by advertising a false product, and had no clue what they were doing in general. I am devastated that they destroyed my hair, and the only thing I can do is warn against anyone else ever going here, even for a haircut because they messed that up too. BEWARE! read more
