Hard to obtain reservations. So glad we booked this months ago during winter. Even then, to get a decent number of nights in the same space, we had to grab weekday summer dates as the last available block of time available. Upon arrival, our Apple GPS guided us easily into the correct driveway for the RV park entrance. It can be confusing as the entrance is behind the main entrance for the Colter Bay recreation area. This location is so convenient. Everything you need is within walking distance. They have a grocery, gift shop, coffee stand, hot food deli, essentials store all under one roof. A restroom with showers (pay extra) and a 24 hr laundry room adjacent to the store. Then down the parking lot is a restaurant, fast casual pizza place, visitors center, and marina. A swimming beach and hiking trails in the area round this place out to days of fun in one stop. As for the RV park, all sites have full hookups with pull through sites. The sites are staggered so you don't have a direct view of your neighbor's sewer line. Many trees in this forested campsite make it a perfect place to put up a hammock. The campsite has a bathroom within each section of sites. Bring bear spray and lots of bug spray. Bugs bite all day long and some of us were covered from hands to feet. Watch out for a number of possible wild animals here such as elk, deer, moose, and bears. They post the number of animals recently hit by cars in the area. Slow down when driving anywhere in the park. There is a mama bear with cubs that lives nearby so food storage safety is high priority. There are many places to ride bikes in the Colter Bay Village. There is a swimming beach across the road from the campground which is the perfect place to launch your own paddle-board or kayak. Many hiking trails all around. I highly suggest bringing a hammock, bike, and any thing you like to use to go out on Jackson Lake. Or you can rent a boat to capture all the beauty of this place. If you want to do Yellowstone as a day trip but leave your RV in this campsite it's doable. Allow at least 90 minutes to get to the first point of interest in Yellowstone. We noticed a lot of our neighbors did this. We opted to enjoy the Tetons for our entire 4 day stay in Colter Bay. There is so much beauty and things to see right there. Highly recommend driving out to see some of the lodges within Grand Teton NP as well.

The best place to stay in the Grand Tetons! This review is for the full hookup RV park, which is different from the tent sites or village. Our site, #A20, was a end site along the first loop. Heavily forested and very quiet despite the large number of RVs coming and going. Unfortunately, our site was not very level and it took every block I had to get the motorhome straightened out. Site was plenty long for our rig and toad. We did have and issue with the 30A plug giving us an "open ground" fault. Switched to the 50A with adapter, no issues. Scenery in the campground is breathtaking! Easy walking distance to the store, marina, laundry and visitor center. Really bad cell service and no wifi! We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

    Walking distance to Jackson Lake.

A fantastic RV park!! We visited for 7 days in 2017. Friendly staff, great facilities, location couldn't be better! Sow and cubs would wander through the northern section every morning. 50 and 30 amp, water, sewer. Did lose power once in the middle of the night, a surge protector is a wise thing to have. Laundry is close as is a store and the beautiful lake Jackson. There are discounts available so remember to ask on reservation and again on check in. GREAT PLACE!!

I can't speak to cleanliness and maintenance in that regard Biggest complaint is that we decided to stay an extra night, and they said that would be no problem, except that we'd have to change spots since the one we were in was booked for the extra night we wanted. This was fine. However, after they charged us, they said we would have to leave the premises at checkout and return hours later at check in. This was unexpected and didn't work with our plans to explore the park. Being in a 40' motorhome, we didn't have any place to leave our RV for 4 hours. That was the whole reason we booked another night. We lived and traveled in our RV all over North America for a year and this has never happened. They said they needed us to leave to "clean" the site. I'm not sure why you need to clean a strip of gravel. When we asked for a cancellation and refund of the extra night literally within hours of asking to extend the stay, they refused because they said cancellations must be done within 24 hours. Which was impossible because we only asked to extend the stay a couple hours ago. Super weird and unreasonable situation.

Dirty, gross, park. ZERO stars…read more When i was checking in, the two people checking me in were fine with me pulling into my site because they thought I was in a truck towing a RV. When I said that I'm actually in a drivable RV and towing my Jeep, they suddenly insisted that I unhitch my Jeep before turning into the spot 'because it's a really tight turn, and we're trying to keep the grass nice'. I told them I've been in tighter sites than this without unhitching so I'll be fine. They tried to argue with me about it! So you're ok with my truck towing my RV, but not my RV towing my truck? There is no logic in their thinking. As predicted, I had no need to unhitch. As far as 'trying to keep the grass nice' - there was no grass! Only green weeds and dead areas and maybe some grass mixed in but it was awful. There are rodents & their holes all over the campsites! Mosquitoes are abundant even though they claim to spray for them. The bathrooms and showers are DISGUSTING!! Spiders everywhere, dirty, old paint on the walls that's bubbling up and falling off. I doubt they clean those showers ever. So gross. I read the reviews before I booked but I booked anyway. Buyer beware.
