    l. The location was perfect as it's just 40 minutes away from either the bustle of Jackson or the serenity of Yellowston

It's clearly designed…read morefor community, and it would be great if you came here with a large group booking several rooms that were next to each other. The lodges are all single-story so you don't have to worry about other visitors making a lot of noise above you. Rather, you can get lodges adjacent to one another and enjoy the lot of lodges that'll be for you. Amenities. There's a large swimming pool in between the lodges. It's big enough to host a large group of people. There's a also very little concern for food. Considering how far away Grand Teton is from Jackson, it's nice that there are several cafeterias/restaurants above the visiting center. There are a variety of options and a coffee shop that opens up in the morning. There's also another lodge with a restaurant if you want something else to eat. The lodge is very well insulated. It was almost 80 degrees in the lodge by the time we woke up, but it was about 50 degrees outside when we woke up. We slept well, but it would have been nice if it was a bit cooler in the room we stayed in. The bathroom is a bit small, but it seemed fitting considering where we were.

We are in unit 361 with a beautiful view of Jackson Lake and the Grand Tetons. Accommodations are spartan but very comfortable. Everything works. Except the drain in the sink was slow. Minor issues. The place is huge and reminds one of a summer camp and has the feel of a ski lodge. The Lodge main house is nice with expansive views of the mountains and lake. There are a couple of nice restaurants a bar and touristy shoppes that had just about anything you needed. It is rustic. We have stayed in other National Parks, Denali for example, and this is quite similar but our room here has a better view than most. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was a bit discombobulated. We were not told the rooms would be cleaned every other day we are here for three nights. When we came back from an 8 hour tour on day 2 our room was not cleaned and a fellow was just starting to do that. He was rushing and missed a few things which we needed to remind him of. The place should really be more diligent regarding this stuff. We are using the lodge as a base for our adventures in the area, wildlife spotting, river rafting and nature hikes. Some snow flurries came down. The Blue Heron bar and lounge was really nice. Jean Patrick and Shorty took great care of us each night. Martini's were well prepared and my Vesper was nicely done even though they could not find the Lillet Blanc the first night. We had a few meals at the restaurants. The breakfast in the Mural room was excellent. Service was good. Dinner was in the same place with our tour group a basic meal. Our third night we ate in the Mural again and it was excellent Bison and trout and elk bolognese. We had breakfast in the Pioneer room the next day. A retro diner 1955. Food was good service was great. Apparently all the staff come from somewhere else and work here for the summer months. Everyone is pleasant and simpatico. A nice place to stay at a National Park. Signal Mountain Lodge…read more Visited the Grand Teton area and wanted to stay in a location that offered amenities close to our activities. Maximizing our limited time to be within the National Parks avoids the longer distances of outside lodging and lines at the entrance stations into the parks. This is an establishment that appears well run and the complex of Registration building, Restaurant and Gift shop, General Store, Gas Station and Laundromat are all relatively close to one another in a walkable distance. Those who have more mobility issues would find a large parking lot centralized to these structures and an ability to get into the restaurant more easily where it is paved. There is a layout of cabins that face the gloriously beautiful Jackson Lake with great views of the Tetons in the background. There is a Marina office where you could check out their boating services and the cabins not on the waterfront facing areas are just a short walk away to access views of the shoreline. It was very peaceful and quiet when we were there. We stayed in a Double Queen Country room that adjoined another room. The rooms were clean, well appointed with a large counter and sink area. I'm always a bit leery of new places at higher elevations of being able to provide enough warmth at higher elevations but we did not have that problem. The room warmed up very quickly with their easy to use thermostat. There was a phone line we could call the front desk if needed. They did mention they would provide WiFi in your room but understand even those connections can be sporadic when you are situated around these wide open environments. The beds were comfortable and bedding kept me nice and toasty. Laundromat takes tokens and you can use a credit card to get those. The nearby campground area also uses their facility and they also have showers available to campers. The only recommendation I would leave is perhaps a little better lighting near the entryways into the cabin areas. Darkness descends very quickly after sunset and I would be sure you carry good portable flashlights if you decide to walk to the restaurant at night or out for a night stroll. The other benefit in staying in this location is that you can take the Signal Mountain road up to its summit which offers a great view of the surrounding area. You are paying for the convenience of location. The cabins are dark woods, rustic but sturdy, nothing fancy but covers what you would need for a nice respite in the outdoors.

Away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance. Great spot along the creek. The inn has an old world, warm, grandma's home feel to it. Not bad but not my style. Old carpet and decor that needs a refresh. Service was excellent and couldn't have been nicer. They remember names and are so friendly and caring. Good breakfast to start your day with little snacks to take along with you on your adventure. Homemade cookies were yummy. Heated coffee cups were a nice touch.

The family who run it have been in the industry for 40 years and are passionate about every aspect of the Inn. The feeling when you enter the lobby and dining area is so welcoming and charming! Everyone was so friendly with outstanding service. We stayed in the Harlequin room which the owner told us that Cosmopolitan magazine declared in 2005 that the view from the balcony was the most romantic in the nation. I'd have to agree. We sat out there every night with a glass of wine. The trees rustled slightly in the soft wind, birds chirped happily and the soothing sound of the creek makes for a very enchanting place. Add the incredible view and you don't want to leave. The room was very large, nicely decorated with every amenitie we could ever think of. The owners are remodeling the rooms, so it could be even nicer when you book. The outside of the Inn is so charming and inviting. Book in advance so you have the opportunity to enjoy this truly unique and amazing place. It's a stay I will always remember!

The cabin also has a wet bar with cafe machine, well stocked with capsule coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The room itself is within the forest and well shaded. Coming from Hawaii, it is cold for us at its summer nights when the temperature gets into the 50's. But heater is available in the room. The surround forest is beautiful and tranquil. On our daily short walks to the dining room, we were awarded with the fragrant fresh pine tree forest smell, the beautiful view of the Grand Teton Mountain range, and a well designed delicious 5-course meal. The booking includes free breakfast and free dinner. It also includes horse riding around the Jenny lake, free use of the well maintained beach cruisers. The cabin we are in has a wall that is shared by a neighbor. But there are more expensive individuel cabins that are not shared. The location is ideal as it is a short bike ride to the Jenny Lake Visiter Center, it also offers the best wide and well maintained bike route, separate from cars. It is also close the famous hike to Inspiration Point and many more trails. In the end, this was the highlight of our trip. Very expensive, but it you can afford it, go for it!
