We checked in into cabin 228 for two nights. Our room has a refrigerator, Keurig, coffee pot, two queen beds and Wi-Fi. Our little porch in front with two Adirondack chairs. We have a little bit of a walk to get to the lodge for meals. Our room was very clean, had a rustic feel and charm. Our room was designed well, we have a lot of space to put all of our belongings and lots of plugs to charge everything up. The room is light bright and very quiet. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure is good. We don't have air conditioning, but the ceiling fan works well. our lather toiletries smell good and feel luxurious. They are a pool with an outdoor casual cantina grill. We enjoyed an elegant dinner in the Mural Room . Cocktails & ight fare are served in the Blue Heron Lounge. The Pioneer Grill is decorated like a 50s diner. The upscale shops had outdoor clothing and equipment, elegant household items, and the usual T-shirts and postcards. There is an activities desk that arranged our rafting excursion and there is somebody from the park service, giving lectures and answering questions.

It's a solid lodge. Reminds me more of summer camp more than anything else. It's clearly designed for community, and it would be great if you came here with a large group booking several rooms that were next to each other. The lodges are all single-story so you don't have to worry about other visitors making a lot of noise above you. Rather, you can get lodges adjacent to one another and enjoy the lot of lodges that'll be for you. Amenities. There's a large swimming pool in between the lodges. It's big enough to host a large group of people. There's a also very little concern for food. Considering how far away Grand Teton is from Jackson, it's nice that there are several cafeterias/restaurants above the visiting center. There are a variety of options and a coffee shop that opens up in the morning. There's also another lodge with a restaurant if you want something else to eat. The lodge is very well insulated. It was almost 80 degrees in the lodge by the time we woke up, but it was about 50 degrees outside when we woke up. We slept well, but it would have been nice if it was a bit cooler in the room we stayed in. The bathroom is a bit small, but it seemed fitting considering where we were.

These gentlemen were SO NICE and welcoming - really elevated our experience here!

We had a phenomenal experience staying here over Memorial Day weekend 2023. The lodge was amazing - staff were all so welcoming and helpful, the food in their restaurants was all delicious, our room was great, the location is flawless, and the grounds are just incredible- they even have several hiking trails on site!! I was really skeptical bc it's a lodge INSIDE a national park and it was a holiday weekend that's typically very busy - but I was able to get a decent room for three (me, hubby, & adult son) via their website (easy to book online) and the prices were actually on par with almost all the other hotels in the area. What made me ultimately choose Jackson Lake Lodge (it's main advantage) was the location. It's smack dab in the middle of all the sights inside Grand Teton National Park - so the little bit extra we paid for the room, we saved in literally HOURS of drive time getting into, around, and out of the park. They have several different options for room type. They have rooms in the main lodge with Teton views and those are actually quite a bit more expensive. But we stayed in their little block of "cabin" style rooms that they have scattered around their property - it's their cheapest option but honestly I think it's better bc it's quieter - you're away from the hustle and bustle of the main lodge which gets TONS of visitors (not just hotel guests) bc of the variety of restaurants and the views (choices inside the park can be limited). We had a 2 queen bed room and it was a decent size - fit three of us just fine for a long weekend. Everything was spotlessly clean! The rooms come with wet bar, mini fridge, Keurig (and REAL coffee mugs - huge plus for me), ceiling fan and heater but no AC - but we didn't miss it - there was still snow all over the park, even on Memorial Day weekend - so we turned on the fan and opened the windows at night a bit and were fine. My only complaint about the room was the hot water. Once it heated up it was great but it took AGES to get hot! I discovered a trick though so here's a PRO TIP: turn on the shower AND the sink hot water at the same time and it heats up super fast LOL!! The whole Teton mountain range and Willow Flats area are right out back from the lobby so you get front row seats for a lot of the action in this national park here! And you can see Jackson Lake as well. The sunsets can be gorgeous but the sunrises are even better! I saw TONS of bird species and lots of elk and babies. They have 3 restaurant options: a coffee cart with limited menu for breakfast and lunch, a fun retro diner with large menu for all 3 meals open all day, and a fine dining spot with small unique menu and AMAZING views only open for dinner (highly recommend reservations as it fills up way in advance). We tried them all and all the food was just awesome (see my separate reviews for each)!! They also have a lounge with light bites and appetizers but we didn't try it. There are also a number of gift shops and a newsstand onsite. The lodge also offers float trips down the Snake River which we reserved several weeks ahead of time and it was so worth it!! It's a very calm, relaxing trip (no white water haha!) and you're guaranteed great views of the mountains and wildlife for sure! They even give you blankets if it gets cold on the river! Our guide was a hoot and so knowledgeable- such great fun! Unfortunately we didn't see any big game - mostly birds but if you know me, you know I was happy lol. The lodge grounds boast a huge horse stable and several awesome hiking trails - the Lunch Tree Hill trail which was my fave, and the Christian Pond Trail which has a ton of other trails branching off it. The grounds are very walkable and just lovely and peaceful. And the prices for the rooms and food and everything are surprisingly not that bad considering you're inside a national park. We had such a wonderful time for our family vaca on my sons bday - we will most definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We did not stay here in a room. This review is from the perspective of day time visitors. We stayed in our RV at Colter bay but visited for shopping, dining, and the views. Located just 6 miles from Colter Bay, this lodge is located inland from Jackson Lake. The view of the Tetons is the main draw of the lodge location. They have ample free self parking. There is a large staircase from the main entrance. The lobby is on the first floor but the lounge is up the stairs. The lounge is big and the windows are tall offering the best indoor seating we saw on our visit about the lodges of the Tetons. There are a few dining room/ restaurants surrounding the lounge plus shopping nearby. We opted for the most variety and lowest priced dining option, the Pioneer Grill. See separate review. Shopped in their lovely stores full of a bit of everything as well. Cute stuff, Teton prices. My favorite part of visiting the Jackson Lake lodge other than the views, was the interesting stories each employee has about where they are from and what they like about the Tetons. It was nice to hear all about the back stories and the seasonal program that brings in the labor to Tetons and makes our visiting possible.

    Cassie K.

You're paying for the views...not the rooms/food/service Pros: multiple food options and gift shops on site, sweeping views of the Tetons as long as you choose a room with a view, small walking path and link to hiking trails directly from the lodge Cons: average food service/quality even from their nicer in-house restaurant; prices are borderline outrageous but if you want the views you'll pay for them. We reserved a king, Mountain View cottage suite for $1000+ a night and found hair on our toilet seat and raisins on the living room floor when we checked in...

Gross dead ants can't take a picture of the smell or heat or I would.

Awful! We've stayed in 9 hotels this trip and this is our last one. The cabin is blazing hot, smells terrible, is dirty and has ants. Ick! I wish we had gone home a day early. At least I'll be happy to leave after this one. All our other hotels throughout Yellowstone and Grand Teton were amazing. Definitely do not recommend this one!

Went here during the fall, so it was thankfully the slow season. All the employees here were insanely nice. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. So thankful that there were several restaurants to choose from. Everything was decently priced considering we were eating at the hotel. Didn't expect too much from our actual hotel, but it wasn't awful. Fairly comfortable beds. Would highly recommend this place!

Very enjoyable stay. The rooms are all in small buildings surrounding the main lodge. Our room looked out to the Tetons. The room was spacious with a smallish but fine bathroom. I enjoyed the ability to sit outside on the small patio in front of our room. Because you are not near the lodge there is a walk to meals and the meeting point. There is golf cart service for those not wanting to walk or in case of rain. The hotel gift shop should not be missed, some good local finds in there. They also have a slightly hidden liquor store inside the gift shop where you can buy wine or beer to enjoy in your patio.

    View was room

A cabin with a view became available and did not disappoint. It was a newer cabin with two queen beds, a tremendous walk-out seating area with a view, and a great bathroom (clean, roomy and with good water pressure). The second room we reserved was in the main lodge, older. Remember the rooms do not have AC or TV. WiFi did work, which I was surprised The lodge had good facilities and supplies, a quick-service area, a bar and a formal dining room. We used the quick-service area, bar, pool and coffee area. The quick-service area the food was so-so, expensive. Coffee bar area was great with quick breakfast items. Bar was expensive and drinks were not the best. Pool area was good food.

Comfortable bed, cabin is decent but no AC, only a weak fan. It was a bit too hot for us. Restaurants onsite and the pool was ok.

We had the time of our lives experiencing this amazing hotel and the broader area. Built in 1904, it's an incredible experience to step into history and experience the unique atmosphere. It's hard to not look up immediately upon arrival, as the timbered interior towers above you and you marvel at the giant rock fireplace. Chairs line two upper levels, along with antique writing desks. I used one of the writing desks to do some journaling and review our itinerary for the next day. We sat and listened to a piano player accompanied by the violin while waiting for dinner reservations. A giant upper level outdoor deck overlooks front of the hotel and nearby geyser basin, including Old Faithful. We got the smallest, most affordable room the hotel offers. Located in the oldest part of the hotel, these are the original rooms that have the most authentic feel. Shared bathrooms just diagonal from our door were very clean and well maintained. Our room was large enough to fit all the essentials we brought in from the car, and we still had plenty of room to relax without clutter. A chair by the window was perfect for reading a Yellowstone history book I brought along (Women in Wonderland by Elizabeth Watry). The employees we encountered were all very kind, particularly Stacy for helping us get dinner reservations after we missed our earlier one. At the front desk, another woman from New Zealand (?) was very helpful in helping we acquire one of the stuffed bison souvenirs that was left out of our room. The one downside to Old Faithful Inn is the crowded and competitive parking situation, and the incredibly busy nature of the whole area during peak hours. This is just part of the deal. However, the benefit to staying here his getting to experience the area in the early morning or later evening when crowds subside. It was 110% worth staying here and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

You need to drive to get there after you get huge keys to your cabin. Rocking chairs can be found outside the cabins. The cabin was spacious and clean. It's like a hotel room without a TV. Cabin with bathroom is $241 per night which is spendy for what you get, but the privilege of staying on-site among the most amazing geysers in the world is priceless. Cleanliness is the one improvement I'd recommend. Our cabin had a network of ceiling corner webs that captured hapless flying bugs and the bathroom was grimy under the shower soap/shampoo dispenser.
