I am only basing my review on a tour of the facility. So, although the staff may be great (I don't…read moreknow) the facility is abysmal. When we entered the hallway it reeked of urine. REEKED! It honestly looked like a scene from One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest with people hollering in their rooms and others roaming the halls or sitting in wheelchairs in the hallway. Everything was old, gross and sad. We left in tears knowing people have to live there and determined to find a better place for our mom. Please do your research, there are other places out there. The hospital said this was the only place available but we found a great adult family home for her in Wenatchee where family is and not 1 1/2 away. If the hospital is pushing you to go somewhere push back!

The ONLY reason this place is getting 2 stars is because the medical techs, CNA, LPN, housekeeping,…read moreand all but two RN were great with us and caring to my father. In a 2 1/2 weeks NEVER saw a medical doctor. NOT ONCE and we were there 12 hours a day. The PA was worthless and only saw him 3 times. His accent was so heavy and wearing a shield and a mask we were unable to understand most of what he said. My dad had tumors popping up ALL OVER his body. For 4 days laid in bed moaning and saying I have pain. My dad NEVER EVER complained of pain. He once fell off a 36 foot tank and got up, and finished harvesting, after harvest went to the dr and found his ankle to be crushed and broke. So for 4 days I would tell everyone and anybody who would listen that dad needed more than Tylenol. After 4 days and me threatening to go to their corporate office was 5 mil of OXI was prescribed. Then I said Oxi wasn't strong enough. Another two days trying to keep my dad comfortable. One day (14th of September) their corporate offices were down and the ONLY WAY my dad was proscribed morphine was because I told the RN that I wanted to speak to someone from corporate to take them in to see how much pain my dad was in. He kept turning and reaching out to us saying HELP PAIN. Then before I left that night, I asked RN Wayne what time dad was going to get the morphine. Nurse Wayne said he wasn't going to give it to him, only the Oxi. What the heck!!!! Does he like seeing these guys in pain!!?!?!? Did he enjoy watch my dad moan and asking for help??? When I got into the facility, the morning RN said he was not given morphine all night and the night aid said he was moaning and saying pain all night. She said she gave it to him at 7:00 am on the 15th and he was resting peacefully. RN Wayne needs to be fired or sent through compassionate training. Then we have RN Jared. My dad had Alzheimer's and we believe he was full of cancer. Never had a biopsy, because he couldn't be moved to a clinic. But, he was at the end of life. On the 13th when I got into dads room around 7:30 am, the CNA was trying to wake dad up. He was non responsive. So then I tried for about 10 minutes and could not wake him up. So I called the family. My brother, mother, niece, granddaughter, husband and I were in the room. Then my sister-in-law came and RN Jared was told there were 6 people already in the room. Now my dad was unable to leave the room and he did not have a roommate. Jared came back and was kicking FAMILY out of the room if a man during his last days of life. The supervisor RN came in the next day and took moms complaint. She let his supervisor know. Then the family was afraid to come in and visit. Jared kept walking past the room looking in, so we closed one of the curtains so he couldn't see in. Then my homemade mask was unable to be worn. I wore that for 3 weeks straight with no issues. Now I needed to wear THEIR mask. We also wore shields. They were being worn my all visitors. The same shields. They said they wipe them down each time. Hey.... The corona virus is so small that there is no way they could get it if someone was sick. I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. The dr, PA and the two RNs are worthless and made the stress of watching a strong farmer become weak and feeble even worse instead of comforting. The PA told mom that Ed is doing so well that he will be discharged next week. He died 5 days later. Oh and my father got bed sores from the type of bed mattress they had him on. He was unable to walk or even stand, sit for more than 5 minutes. Two days prior to him passing they finally got him an air bed. He should have been in an air bed from the beginning.
