I knew that there would be much work to do and the dentist discussed with me what was needed. They were all friendly and sessions took no more than an hour or two on average. The dentist and hygienists have been very gentle altho much drilling was needed on several teeth so far. I hope to keep coming here for as long as I need to.

No water fountains to spit your mouth wash out in, everything wiped down before and after patient. Really made me think about my previous treatments at other establishments... during this visit they discovered a bunch of cavities my previous dental hygienist missed so took care of those in two other visits. Since then just one small one which was more of a lets take care of it type of deal. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy looking up at the lights... each area has different pictures, I recommend some winter ones being the skier I am. I especially like my Dentist Dr. Katz who sees me after my cleaning. Dr. Katz really shows how much she cares about my teeth by examining all my teeth at every appointment. I had a small chip on the bottom of a tooth from when I was a lot younger and I mentioned it to her and after a quick consultation on the spot she buffed it and now it looks nice and smooth. She's wonderful. I also love her Dental Assistant Amneris. She has assisted Dr. Katz in a procedure with me before and I was extremely impressed with her ability. I come here every six months. They have a cute little waiting area with magazines to read and a few toys to keep the kiddos occupied. There is a little coat closet you can hang your coat in. They are very efficient and gentle with your teeth. My four year old son actually likes to get his teeth cleaned, which is great, I was terrified as a kid. They are so good with him and he gets a little toy when he leaves, so he is always excited about coming back. My teeth always feel nice and clean when I leave. They give really good recommendations too. The dentist comes in after the hygienist is done and does an overlook of everything. I really like this joint and the abundance of parking is always a plus for me. I totally recommend this place! The employees are always nice and super helpful.

I grew up in pre-flouridated water days, and had lots of cavities. Having shared that, sometimes its just not avoidable. So I go when I have to. And I go to a wonderful dentist. He understands my fears and is kind and gentle and caring. I really trust him to take good care of me. He has the same office staff that has been there for years and know me by name. I think that also speaks volumes about what a good man he is. And the staff works hard to get me in around a very busy schedule. My appointments run on time. I get called in right on schedule and if they say its a 15 minute visit, I am in and out in 15 minutes! I highly recommend Dr Rappaport- for those times when you really need a dentist, and your twice yearly cleanings (yes, they really are important!)

They would irresponsibly and wrongfully process paperwork and cashed a check that was meant to be sent to me since they had been 100% paid in full but doulble-dipped anyway. It is a fact that this "holistic" Dentist [in name only] removed two perfectly good fillings that did not need to be removed and left my bite in a cross-bite for not only months but for four years. The cross bite was addressed in person with Dr. May and he brushed it off as no big deal but it was a big deal because it was damaging other teeth and fillings and causing chipping in front teeth. It was a "Class III" malocclusion that was left with no plans to help the occlusion at all. This is a very dangerous malocclusion and the excellent Dentists I consulted after the four years of putting up with nothing being done to help me, they were shocked and could not understand that level of incompetence by any Dentist. Now he wants to throw the psychological element around as though the Victim is wrong and did not experience, for four trusting years, anything wrong with the lack of proper care. The fact that many bad dentists happen to advertise heavily as "holistic" is another sad fact. There are several on the East Coast. There are MANY victims out there who have been abused and injured by people who happen to advertise as "holistic." I know more than a handful of people who have been to several holistic Dentists and had similar experiences. With this said, there are many bad Dentists in general. It is not regulated and the level of training and ethical behavior is highly variable. With that said, there are also some very caring ones who are at least willing to refer the patient if something is over their heads. But if you look at the complaints of the bad and incompetent workmanship of many Dentists who advertise as "IAOMT" or Holistic, you will see a very horrifying trend. Abuse by wrongful treatment and misdiagnoses and then marginalization of innocent patients is very real and not some psychological fantasy. I am sorry that I ever trusted you for four years. You should take a long look at how many years it took me to finally write a public complaint. I tried my best to give you the benefit of the doubt, but when I finally gave up on your lack of care and sought other professional opinions, my dangerous occlusion was of big concern to the Dentists who specialize in occlusion and actually care about the damage to the other teeth that I had sustained from your misdiagnoses and your maltreatment.

I have been looking for a new dentist office since the one I once went to lost my trust, I started…read morein November 2024 and I explained to them that I haven't been to a Dentist in 3 years. My remaining teeth were beyond repair being broken and so on, I explained that I wanted to have them all removed and denture's put in The woman cleaning my teeth listened to me very well when I told her to becareful with the cleaning and she did just that. The dentist removed a few teeth then told me she will remove the rest after the holidays so I can enjoy it. Before I returned though South Main Dental called me to tell me that the Dentist actually left the practice, like literally left and never returned. I was upset because she was gentle with me, but another dentist came in and took over her isn't like the lady yes he pulled a few teeth out also but afterwards he didn't prescribe me ibuprofen and amoxicellin. I ended up with infected gums and thank goodness I had a little left of each to help me get through the pain I was dealing with. I just wish dentist offices had a policy to when teeth are pulled make sure the patient goes home with those two items.
