I come here every six months. They have a cute little waiting area with magazines to read and a few toys to keep the kiddos occupied. There is a little coat closet you can hang your coat in. They are very efficient and gentle with your teeth. My four year old son actually likes to get his teeth cleaned, which is great, I was terrified as a kid. They are so good with him and he gets a little toy when he leaves, so he is always excited about coming back. My teeth always feel nice and clean when I leave. They give really good recommendations too. The dentist comes in after the hygienist is done and does an overlook of everything. I grew up in pre-flouridated water days, and had lots of cavities. Having shared that, sometimes its just not avoidable. So I go when I have to. And I go to a wonderful dentist. He understands my fears and is kind and gentle and caring. I really trust him to take good care of me. He has the same office staff that has been there for years and know me by name. I think that also speaks volumes about what a good man he is. And the staff works hard to get me in around a very busy schedule. My appointments run on time. I get called in right on schedule and if they say its a 15 minute visit, I am in and out in 15 minutes! I highly recommend Dr Rappaport- for those times when you really need a dentist, and your twice yearly cleanings (yes, they really are important!)

When I'm at a doctor's office, I want to know that they buy the most up-to-date equipment, and that they know how to use it. 2) The staff is very friendly. We can all admit that being at a dentist's office doesn't exactly put us in a great mood. The staff at Day Hill Dental understands that, and is very kind without being overbearing (i.e. without the fake smiles and cheeriness). 3) The care is excellent. My hygientist and dentist (Dr. Farber) quickly did the cleaning and exam, and thoroughly explained what was good and what wasn't so good. They also explained things in a non-judgmental way. I've been to far too many dentist offices where you feel like you're the kid who forgot his homework assignment. Not so here - they want you to take care of your teeth, but don't make you feel like you're a naughty kid being lectured. If you live in the area, I would highly recommend Day Hill Dental.

They take Delta Dental (always good for those of us with Delta Dental), and the hygienists know what they are doing, pointing out various issues with teeth and identifying cavities and problem areas. Dr. Bloom himself also has an excellent bedside manner (or is it chair-side?). He also gives helpful recommendations in the case one can't get back into his office in time (he was able to direct me to the UNC Dentristy school to get some cavities done). Also, they have that cool white cavity filler stuff that's always good fun :)

The tooth had to be extracted, and I was in pain over a week. I was advised to replace bridge I had would cost a certain amount, I felt the price was too high. So, while he was addressing one issue, I asked if the price could be lower. He went back and forth what would be needed. He kept bragging how he was the best dentist. Finally, when he realized I would not go for price he stated. He stated he could do nothing. At my last visit for teeth cleaning, a different person than the one I had been accustomed to did my cleaning. This woman did not explain things well, was extremely rough, and never gave me a breather. She started to floss my teeth, and I had to stop. When I went to the receptionist, I was very angry. I was not going to say anything. Then, this totally unprofessional woman goes to the receptionist and says she (meaning me) just got up and left. At that point, I got mad and stated why I was so angry. Woman then says that she was cleaning my teeth (that justified her extreme roughness) and at that point I lost it. She then says why didn't you say anything-I just looked at her (how can someone say something when something is in their mouth). Then, she and the receptionist go running to the dentist like two idiot children. At that point, I left. Finally, I cannot comprehend how this dentist was ever rated number one.

He is great for emergency visits, very accommodating, again, the patient's comfort is first. The office is clean and neat. All staff are professionally presentable; you won't about the hygiene in this office. His apt. scheduling is flexible, if you can not get the EXACT time or day, it will be as close as possible, but in 3 years, I always got the time slot I feel comfortable in.

The offices are spotless, the equipment is state of the art, and the clinicians are gentle and thorough and ease all our dental anxieties. Dr Coughlin is by far the most caring and compassionate dentist--truly the best dentist we have ever seen.

My experience here has been very good. It was easy to find on Google map when I searched for…read moredentists and were near the Mall at Ingleside. They made an appointment for me faster than other places I called. I have had 4 visits - the initial plan for treatment was more than my insurance would accept. I knew that there would be much work to do and the dentist discussed with me what was needed. They were all friendly and sessions took no more than an hour or two on average. The dentist and hygienists have been very gentle altho much drilling was needed on several teeth so far. I hope to keep coming here for as long as I need to.

We talked about it and he convinced me that it would be like having a tooth drilled. So I am there hearing him drill into my jawbone. But he was very funny and totally took my mind off what he was doing. So I left and picked up my prescriptions at CVS. I NEVER USED THE PAIN MEDS. Amazingly with all the medieval sounding stuff he did I had slight discomfort. This is the sign of a highly trained professional. Highly recommended. The man is an artist.

I also recall more attention from the dentists after a cleaning, and seeing the same ones over time. Not so now. The hygienists are still very nice and competent. But I am no longer very happy with it.

I will start by saying the people in the office are very nice. That being said, I would not…read morerecommend this practice. I had been a patient for several years, but recently went for tooth pain. The treatment plans they gave me were going to cost thousands of dollars, with insurance. I went to get a second opinion, and 3/4 of the treatments they said I needed are not necessary. This includes an unnecessary crown and bone graft. Feels extremely unethical to present expensive treatments as required when in fact they are not. I have permanently transferred my care elsewhere.
