Fantastic dentist! Dr. Doug Forbes definitely goes the extra mile. He absolutely saved my smile…read more I've been going to the cheap chain dentists for years and wow they did a terrible job. Dr. Doug was referred to me by a longtime patient for a crown and he noticed some things that the chain dentists did not. I was about to lose a tooth because of a bad filing from years ago. I've been to Aspen dental twice since that filing and they never noticed that I had a bunch of decay. Long story short he did a very thorough and wonderful job. His office was spotless, staff was amazing too. I highly recommend this place for all your dental needs.

I was told that I would be charged a 50 dollar fee. I decided to stay up after working a twelve hour shift so that I could make the appointment. Upon arrival I was met with a condescending and down right rude attitude from Amy. There was a discrepancy with my insurance, therefore I had my company insurance rep call and he was met with the same level of attitude. After a few minutes of being subjected to her attitude, I decided to cancel my appointment and look for a dentist elsewhere. Based off of her actions alone I will not recommend this office.

However whoever handles the billing was very rude whenever I called a month later to dispute an item that was billed and not covered by insurance. My insurance company covers a certain type of x-ray (bitewing) and they gave me another type when I went in for my cleaning. When I went in for the cleaning I told the receptionist (a very sweet older woman) that I get an annual cleaning, exam, and xray covered by my insurance company. A month later, I received a bill from my insurance company saying they would not cover the x rays since they were not the bitewing kind. I called the dentist office to ask why I wasn't told that type of x ray would not be covered prior to taking them, I was told by the billing person that it's my responsibility to call the insurance company first and ask what type of x ray is covered and what is not and to tell the dentist. This was the first time i've ever heard of this as I've never had to call an insurance company to find out this type of information beforehand. Having no medical background I would assume someone at the dentist office should advise me of the various types of xrays they have and what would and would not be covered prior to taking them. The insurance paid out $161 for my cleaning and I ended up having to pay $50 for the xrays out of pocket.

While things started off fine at first, they quickly went south after the doctor recommended I have new crowns installed BEFORE getting root canals done on TWO separate teeth. Due to this, the crowns (that's cost over $800) cracked and shattered during the root canals. The first one, the dentists was able to redo for free, but they only offered a half off discount for the second. This is insulting. I will never understand how it logically makes sense to spend money on a new crown to be installed only for a root canal to drill into it, ruining it. If you know I need a root canal, why would you not have sent me to go get it first, rather than have me get an entire new crown installed only for the endodontics to drill right through it? They also had the nerve to insinuate the crown I had for a few weeks cracked because I "didn't take care of it" and not because it had been drilled for a root canal. A few weeks after having to get both crowns redone, I noticed I was still having pain in my mouth and decided to get a second opinion with another dentist in town. After they took new X-Rays they could very clearly see both newly installed crowns had been done so in a rushed and sloppy manner. Due to this, there are larger than normal gaps around the new crowns where food debris can easily get caught, which will undoability lead to tooth decay. On top of this, the new dentist could see where the new enamel they put over cavities I had is now causing my jaw to be misaligned. Some of the new enamel has conjoined teeth together, making flossing impossible. A Brighter Smile does not care about the job they are doing, they do not think logically about the customers they are serving, and they will do whatever it takes to keep your money. Do not be like me and just assume they will do good because their workers are nice and personable, the service is abysmal. Save yourself the time, money, and tooth pain and look elsewhere.
