We went shopping tonight for winter gear for an upcoming trip, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff at Columbia made us feel so welcomed and cared for. We asked for help with a jacket, and Bryce was more than happy to jump in. He went out of his way to find the perfect sizes and the best deals for us, all with such a positive and genuine attitude. It was clear he truly cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. We were so impressed that while waiting in line, we waved him over to ask if we could share our appreciation with a manager... only to find out he was the manager--which honestly made perfect sense The kindness didn't stop there--the cashier, Ashton, was just as warm, helpful, and attentive. It really felt like the whole team was working together to create such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. In a world where exceptional customer service can feel rare, this was such a refreshing and appreciated experience. We left feeling genuinely taken care of and will absolutely be back again soon. Living in the PNW I felt guilty shopping at an out of state Columbia Store. Once inside, it was like a coming home or sorts. The staff was just as polite as my home store, it's like customer service was built into their DNA. The selection was surprising, they had more items than I was expecting. Well another holiday season is here, and of course, I took my annual visit to Columbia to get all of the outdoorsy folks in my fam a little something extra. Friends, I can honestly say that the holiday deals here cannot be beat! Cozy adult zip-up fleeces for $24.99, KIDS zip fleeces for $14.99 (I bought one for 12 months - 4 T for my boys), workout shirts for $19.99, 4 packs of heavy duty hiking socks for $9.99. And that's just to name a few. Yes, PLEASE! We love the quality of their apparel for our travels/hikes/camping and you can't hit them at a better time than the holidays. The sales are unreal. My husband also loves their UV protected polos for golf! We'll be back again next year for our annual visit! Thanks for bringing a smile to our loved ones' faces year after year. read more

Columbia provides high quality, stylish and timeless clothing for the active consumer. Bought purplish shirt that has "omni shade" to protect from the sun. It's also thin enough with mesh on the back to allow the body to breathe. Also bought the reddish raincoat with zip up pockets. The checkout area also have practical camping gears. I am not a fan of Columbia clothing, although I do own two mesh hats and a pair of fleece pants. To me the styles seem dated and I never really see anything that I would want hanging in my closet. With that said they are the parent company of Mountain Hardware which I am a huge fan of and this store does have some of their apparel on occasion. Most recently I stopped in to find some great stuff on the clearance rack; wind/water proof shells, down puff jackets, rain coats, and some other fun things. They were blowing these things out at 50% off so naturally I had to grab a few things. Other than that I probably wouldn't purchase much here. I'd give zero stars if I could. I went to Columbia on Sunday with hopes to find some new hiking shoes and my dad was looking for a specific outdoor jacket. While looking in the small shoe section, not a single person asked if I needed help. I found a decent pair of shoes in the men's section. While carrying those shoes, I then found my dad who was searching for a specific jacket. It was obvious he had questions and again, not a single person asked if we needed help. Instead, all the sales associates were in the center of the store speaking to one another. My dad gave up and we went to buy my shoes anyway, despite the horrible service. When the person behind the counter (bald head, about 6 feet tall), asked if we found everything okay, I let him know the service was poor. He then made a smart comment about how we were supposed to let the associates, who weren't doing anything but talking to one another, that we needed help. His tone was terrible. My dad then asked if they had something and he pointed very dismissively. I couldn't stand the disrespect and decided not to waste our money. Instead, we went to Merrell where we received much better service. read more

An interesting store. Best way I can describe it. As their name suggests they emphasize outdoors and/or active wear. They have shirts, pants, shorts, coats, and even shoes. All supposedly geared for active lifestyles. They are very pricey, but their garments allegedly have unique characteristics. For example, I bought a shirt on sale that supposedly helps to cool you. For what it's worth, if I'm walking down a hall I do feel a slight chill (if I'm just sitting around I don't feel it). It appears to be a golf shirt. They have others that wick moisture away from you. Though I find cotton will do that, the synthetics do dry faster. Sales people are helpful. Occasionally it is difficult to find one who is available, but generally not too bad. I may have to update this after I've had time to wear these items on a vacation. The whole point was for easy-to-wash in a hotel sink, looks nice, keeps me comfortable. read more

I enjoy going to this store because they have great deals. The only downside is the womans pants are very different in sizes. I love their sales rack, because they always have really good pieces in there for almost nothing. Columbia gets me thru the hot months and the cold months. Their clothes are comfy. Dear Columbia, manager training as well as customer service training- heard of it? Or do you just throw your people directly in and sit back to watch them fail? Do you have a bowl of popcorn as you watch? Only two cashiers in a line 20 minutes long. When I asked a manager to get more cashiers, she refused due to policy?!?!?! It is UNACCEPTABLE for me to wait in line for 20 minutes. My husband & I spend a lot of money in your store, but not any longer. We'll now spend time telling everyone not to bother with your store. read more

A couple of employees are working hard to make the shopping experience easy. Kudos. And then there was the girl (with no name tag) sorting clothes in the fitting room area that told a customer - you'll need to go get a key from the front counter if you want to use a fitting room. What?? Are you serious? As you might imagine, the customers left. There's no way I can leave a 2 star review because of one employee. Let me say they gave a pretty good selection of UPF clothes, more than anywhere I have seen. My only beef is today they had signs on the rack if shirts I purchased that the lowest priced item you would get 30% off, well I only received 10%. Seems like false advertisement since the sign was on the shirt rack. read more

I'm so glad they opened a store closer to my home. I have bought a lot of ski and regular clothes over the last few months. Columbia clothes is high quality for the price. Great value. Their omni heat really works. I've skied in a snow storm and was sweating. So lightweight but warm. Not sure how they can make this stuff work but it does. Recently bought a pair of omni heat gloves. Very warm on my recent ski trip but the seam came loose and I felt they should be returned. And now my REAL review. After talking to the sales rep and then the manager they exchanged my gloves for a new pair and gave me full credit. No hassle and so very friendly and apologetic about the gloves not holding up. I really respect a place that takes care of their customers. I feel confident in their products and if something goes wrong they have showed me they stand by their stuff. Rip Off. Boring Clothes. Boring Store. Why would anyone pay 150 bucks for a jacket? Even on sale. They are supposedly a really "technological" brand with all kinds of special features, but when asking store associates and really checking them out, but I didn't see anything special..I mean, what's the big deal? The price tags are way too steep, the outlet discounts don't really help or make it worthwhile. Even basic items like a regular, cotton hoody is 35 dollars...socks are 20 dollars...that's just ridiculous, why anyone would pay those prices for boring, average, dull clothes just because they have a brand name on them, is just crazy. The associates are nice enough, the younger ones are the most helpful. I hate how the dressing rooms have to be locked up and you need a key every 5 seconds, that gets old fast. The real issue with this store are the insane amounts of ANNOYING TOURISTS! There must be 30 tourist kids just running around and throwing stuff everywhere like it's a playground and these parents don't even care, I almost stepped on this little chinese kid because they were goofing around. It's really ridiculous. Shop on Amazon and save your money, the prices columbia charges for basic, boring, middle-aged guy clothes is just nutty. To each their own, but no thanks! read more

After shopping the discounted clothes in the front, I wandered to the fitting rooms & found the clearance section. Even heavier discounts here. Since this years' fashion colors aren't my priority for hiking & outdoor gear (does khaki or tan ever go out of season in the desert?) - I rearranged my purchases from the front newer section! A few shoe & sock options as well as great deals on coats, bags & accessories. I'll remember this place for gifts, too. My favorite outdoor store! I was traveling on vacation to Alaska and had nothing water repellant! I really lucked out during special bonus back sale. I picked up an awesome 3 way jacket... part 1 rain jacket with hood, part 2 inner liner as puffer jacket, and all 3 parts together awesome warm coat! It kept me super warm and comfortable. The ability to peel off layers was invaluable! My favorite purchase thus far. I also picked up a couple pairs capri pants, moisture repellant as well. My husband picked up a new lightweight rain jacket and outdoor shoes. Since the trip, he purchased 2 long sleeve water resistant shirts and the packing tubes water resistant as he was camping this month during monsoon season. He's 6'5 250 lbs and was happy with the xxl shirts & jackets. He did not pick up any shorts or pants. Oh yeah, he did pick up some gadgets. I've been back a couple times and picked up sun dresses. They don't come in petite, so I did have to hem but was easy to do at home. I also have a few UPF moisture wicking dresses which are saving me from overheating this summer! I do have to try on every style of clothing to check the fit, each style fits differently. As with any outlet store, I think it's important to know the price of items regularly to determine if you think you're getting a good deal. I like to check online prices before I go anywhere and often have my phone out price checking. I always watch my purchases being rang up no matter where I shop to ensure the price is accurate.
