Great prices and selection, but wow, what terrible customer service! When I went to purchase my items, there was only one cashier and there was some issue with the customer she was helping, for at least 10 minutes. Eventually a manager came to help her and the two of them continued to work on whatever the issue was. The original cashier just stood there, doing nothing at all. Eventually another cashier came to open another register and then her customer had an issue. Now those of us in line have been there at least 20 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement by anyone anywhere. We customers may as well been invisible. I knew there were at least 2 more workers in the store, one in the back corner straightening out the clearance racks (hardly a priority when you have customers waiting for 20+ minutes to purchase their items). I understand that there can be issues at the register, no prob. But the utter lack of acknowledging the customers, thanking them for their patience, or proactively calling another employee to help at the cash registers was epic in the utter disregard for customers. I love Columbia but wow, better training is absolutely needed! read more

This is a no frills store. Literally, the store has about 6 to 8 racks of clothes and a couple of racks of shoes. They call it a clearance store however the clothes here were just regular sales. I think the store will be good for some winter items. The customer service level is just as minimal as the store and decor. One person seemed to be stocking shelves and one person behind the counter. No one is really there to assist the customer. I did a quick walk through and out. Good luck there! read more

We went to the Woodburn Premium Outlets over the weekend. This was a new "pop up" store next door to the Tommy Bahama store. The store felt relatively sparse and had maybe about 10 to 12 racks of various clothing from jackets, tops, ski pants, shorts and workout clothes. It felt like it was all the leftover items that didn't sell in their regular factory stores in order to clear what was left. However, the prices didn't reflect what I would perceive as clearance prices. Additionally, no one who was working spoke to me when I entered or during the entire time I was in the store. I don't have any continued curiosity to drop in on a future visit to Woodburn. read more

Definitely one of the best outlet stores at Woodburn! True outlet prices on high quality Columbia clothing and gear. Worth the trip out there just for this store! Located on the southern end, this anchor store definitely attracts cistomers. They have such a wide selection, all sizes in stock, mens, womens, kids - I challenge you to leave empty handed! If they don't have your size, they will call other stores and have it shipped to you for free. The store is big! Two floors of big! Clothing is well organized by type and styles. All those working there are constantly straightening out items, folding, rehanging clothing to ensure a good shopping experience for customers. Whenever guests visit, I bring them here so they can purchase good looking outerwear that lasts and does the job it was designed to do. My brother left with all sorts of shorts and shirts plus a great winter jacket. His kids, the same. Love when I visit them back in NJ and see them wearing their Portland purchases, shows how much they love it. I've converted them! During the Pandemic, you can still try on clothes which is much appreciated. Many stores still don't allow this. They clean the dressing rooms between customers and have a process for the clothes that were tried on. I felt very safe. Masks required and sanitizer provided. Staff  is super friendly and helpful providing the level of assistance you need. Returns are easy and hassle free. Shopping at Columbia is always  a great experience as proven by the bags of clothing that come home with me! read more

I have great affection for Gert Boyle and Columbia's products. One of Oregon's great brands and if you want some entertaining reading, I suggest you pick up her autobiography, One Tough Mother, to see how she went from 'just a housewife' to running one of our state's top businesses. Oh, and did you know she lives in West Linn? I was excited when this store finally opened in Woodburn earlier this year and I think the selection is better than the Lake O outlet. It isn't the most stylish outdoor wear, but it is solid as a rock. For me, outlet shopping runs hot and cold and their outlets tend to be dominated by fleece and outerwear. I'm usually in the market for their clothes and I've made a few great buys for myself and the kids here lately. Very professional and helpful staff, clean and well stocked store, and lots of UV-protected clothes for those of the fair caucasian persuasion like me. Give 'em hell, Gert! read more

I could literally start my own secondhand store and stock it with just Columbia clothes, I have that many! I've always found great stuff at this store. It's a tiny store for the amount of product they carry, giving it a cramped feel to it. I always start shopping here, so I don't have any bags, as it's easy to run into both racks and people. The employees are typically very helpful. I've encountered a few bad apples, but that's normal here and there. The majority of them are great. I get emails from them all the time, and I keep an eye on their sales to take advantage of. The last time I went, I had $100 off $200. I ended up using it twice. So I spent $200 for $400 worth of products. Which is awesome. It's a store I've been shopping at for years and will keep returning to. I love the great deals and good selection. read more

Friendly staff and nice UV protection clothing. Columbia keeps improving the many different types of protective fabrics in the outdoor clothing they offer. My sister recently had a second Melanoma cancer discovered and treated so I'm trying to be more sun safe. The most recent version of Columbia uV sun safe clothing are made of a much softer, natural feeling fabric. Got a lot of great finds here! There was literally something for everyone from the babies to plus size. By the time we finished we each had 2-4 fleece and coats for under $400 (5 people). I looked up what I bought at the outline online out of curiosity. Not one thing was selling for less than double what I payed. I kind of regretted the amount we spent until I saw the real prices online (amazon & Columbia). We really did get awesome deals! I really like this outlet. The location is not huge, but it has great selection! The prices are decent, but the products are really high quality, and for the most part make up for the cost. Besides that, there is just about anything of what you could need. Other than that, service is very friendly, and they don't seem to be pushy. During their construction I have had multiple horrid experiences here. The most recent being the worst customer service I've ever experienced and continued to witness. Kristin, the woman who appeared to be manager (and may have been having a bad day, though it's no excuse for how she acted) was not only horrible to me but to at least three other customers and several employees in the time I was there. I understand construction can make things difficult but not like this. I would have fired her, personally. She was not only rude but intentionally flippant. I came in with an ad looking for a specific jacket to which I was rudely told they don't have it and that's not their problem, so I attempted to work with the attitude and asked a follow up question "do you have anything similar? I'm looking for a full zip fleece." However instead of answering my question or offering to point me in the right direction I was told "good luck, you'll have to look for yourself!" - I would have even taken a general point to a rack to look through but nope. I never walk out of Columbia spending less than $300 and to later be told in her passing by that I would be better off going to the clearance store, as if I'm too picky when I even followed up my specific picture for reference with a general inquiry is beyond me. It was not only no longer necessary to help me but she must have gone out of her way to bully a customer out of the store. While I continued to shop in general for other items on my list I could over hear her have a worse attitude with 3 more customers and told off several employees in front of customers for what appeared to be absolutely no justifiable reason. In addition she ignored the request for help from the only employee at the registers with an actual line of over 20 people. After he asked five times she took all the time she could to finally walk over and do her job. If this was my first time experience I'd never be back, if I weren't an Oregonian I'd be done buying Columbia because they put absolutely no significance in the customer. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. IF YOU MUST, wait till they are done with construction maybe they'll hire better people by then. read more

Make sure you save all the shoes boxes if you need an exchange otherwise they don't allow it. I just needed to upgrade my shoes from a 10.5 to a 11 and they wouldn't let me exchange even if I left the new box with them just because of a stupid label that showed 11 instead of 10.5. I'm sorry I'm not a hoarder and collect all the boxes I buy. And no, I was not told when I bought them that I have to keep the box for returns. read more

I am a fan of Columbia Sportswear. While I really like when I am invited to the employee store I often find even better deals here. That said there is no where near as large and the selections limited to the Columbia brand. This is usually one of the better staffed of the shops I go into. The employees are efficient and nice. Lots of coats, shoes, and other cloths. Its varieties always changes, Last visit I didn't see many shirts. It is a great place too buy cloths for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. I bought one of my favorite pairs of shoes here. It is getting wore out, I wish I could find another pair like them. Tip: watch for their good sales. read more

Bad service. Very rude, unprofessional clerk/sales associate (Karlie (or some spelling of that -- she said it to us with a mean, snobby tone)) on Jan 8th 12:35pm Sat. She was not helpful, made customers wait to pay for clothes while she chatted with co-workers and an obivous friend. The lines for paying were completely random -- no general line to pay. So if you got behind the wrong person/clerk you could be there for 20-30mins just to pay, while other people get through another line on the side faster. The store had a nice selection of clothes but the fustration of the lines and paying -- and a couple of people in our group 'experienced' rude Katie/Kate person. It's not worth it -- Go to other sports stores in Woodburn Outlet. Almost ALL of the other stores had friendly sales clerks and very helpful -- not snobby. read more

My entire family skis or snowboards - this is one of our favorite outlet stores in Woodburn. They're usually well-stocked, and they usually have all sizes available in everything. They're known for running awesome sales, especially if you're willing to wear last season's stuff. I've walked away with deeply discounted ski pants and coats; I think my mom and her husband have an entire closet full of Columbia gear from this outlet. We can't pass up a good bargain! We mostly go here for the ski gear, but they've got non-outerwear clothing, shoes, and stuff for the kiddos as well. Suzie Q's Fun Facts: Columbia Sportswear originated in the 1930's as the "Columbia Hat Company." Only decades later did it shift focus to sportswear products. =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ On a recent visit to Portland, I was excited to take a trip out of city limits to the Woodburn Outlet. I was most excited to shop at North Face's outlet for a new ski jacket.... but while I was at Woodburn, I thought I might as well drop by Columbia Sportswear, too. To my surprise, because I had always preferred North Face's clothing over Columbia's, the Columbia outlet had much more variety, and (in my opinion) better deals. Columbia's outlet is organized like a small department store, with tons of different tops, lots of jackets and vests, a shoe section and an accessories section. As other Yelpers have noted, the selection of sizes here can be pretty lopsided. In other words: If you like a particular item of clothing, prepared to be disappointed, as they are likely not to have your size. (One example: I liked a white ski jacket with grey accents, but of the 30+ jackets on the racks, not a single one was a size large. I think they were nearly all size small). While there seemed to be plenty of sales associates milling around, the one time I asked for help in finding a particular item, the (young, female) associate pointed me to a totally different item that looked similar. When I pointed out the items were different, she simply stared at me blankly, then didn't offer to assist further. Ultimately, I snagged a really high-quality ski jacket and two zip sweaters for $150 (after in-store discounts and an additional 10% discount from the mall's VIP coupon book). Beware that discounts aren't generally "stackable." So if you are over 50, for example, you can't use the special 10% Tuesday discount if you also want to use the 10% VIP book discount. read more

I actually really liked this store. There was a wide variety of items for men and women inf different sizes and colors. There were items for all different types of weather. I got a Titanium windbreaker and I absolutely love it. It was a great price. My bf was sad because the corresponding men's jacket was sold out in his size, but he was happy for me. December 9th, 2020 ( appx between 2pm & 3pm) If I could give this store no stars, I would. As soon as my mother and myself entered the store, there was a Caucasian employee that gave us a half way greeting and immediately told us the clearance rack was on the back wall. I kind of look puzzled but was like ok. We were only in there looking for a coat for my daughter. I tried on a couple of different styles to see if they would fit, and started to browse the store to see if there was something else. I noticed another employee following us towards the checkout line. As we were waiting our turn in line ( with 1 item mind you), we had several customers behind us. I then turned around and noticed an employee that made his way directly behind us. I mentioned to my mother I feel as if they think we are trying to steal something. The employee then started to look all around in the air, trying to act as if he wasn't watching us. I then became very agitated and told my mother that she could make the purchase if she wanted but I was leaving. As I was walking towards the entrance, the MANAGER ( got on her walkie talkie and said did they buy something). Not knowing i was directly behind her. Furious at this point I asked her if she was the manager, she acknowledged that she was, and I told her that I was not ok that she directed her staff to follow us around the store and treat us as if we were stealing. She told me I was unaware of that and I'm sorry if you felt that way. I HAVE ONLY DEALT WITH RACISM A COUPLE TIMES, AND I WAS COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED BY HER ACTIONS. My husband and I always find something to buy when we go here. They have such amazing deals, it's hard not to walk out of their store with a huge bag full of stuff! I highly recommend them, the quality is superb especially for the great price. If you compare the online price, it is way cheaper at this outlet! My only wish would be that the store was bigger. I much prefer them over the North Face, which also has a store on the other side of the outlets. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! It's safe to say I will never come here ever again. I went in on a Sunday night to buy stuff on my merchandise card. When I was checking out the cashier scratched the pin on my card. Mind you I had $99 dollars on that card and they printed out a receipt with the proof. So we couldn't buy anything, it wasn't a big deal but we didn't live near Columbia at all so we wanted to make that purchase now. They told us to call a number to get a pin. We called that number the next day and the lady swore to us we didn't need a pin when I told her we did. I just ended the call because she kept on interrupting me telling me I needed a pin. I called back to the Columbia store and they said they could not do anything about it and they were sorry my card got scratched. They told me to call that number again(customer service number) I did and he said he couldn't do anything for me and told me to call Columbia again. So I spent 3 hours calling that day and no one could give me a straight answer. Couple more days later, I called Columbia and asked to speak to the manager. (She was the one that dealt with my whole card thing so she know every detail of it) When she got on the phone she told me that I called them 2 days before I went in the first time and told them that i already scratched my card. I never scratched the card and never called them. They were obviously lying to cover up the fact that one of the employees scratched it. So I asked for them to print/show me the proof that I called them and they said they couldn't do that. They also said that my balance was $19 when it was $99 and I never spent it. If I did not have the pin from the day I first went in there and now how was I supposed to buy anything? Couple days later we called customer service and got the pin. That night I went in and told them I had the pin so we could buy the stuff and get out of there. They proceeded to tell us we had $19 dollars but we told them are you sure check again. We told them that we wanted to speak to the manager and somehow when they figured it out with the manager there. I actually had $99 dollars and not $19. Overall I had THE WORST experience at Columbia. They told us that we lied about the amount in the card and that we scratched the card. I'm never going back there. read more

Great shopping experience and really great deals. I am large petite which can be hard to find a good fitting jacket. One of the young women (I didn't get her name) with long blond hair would not stop trying until i found the perfect jacket. Another salesman (Quincy) was incredibly helpful in finding my a jacket for my dad that will be both wind and rain resistant for his daily walks. Worst place to go shopping for clothes. Manager and staffs are very rude and unfriendly. Today, I come to buy jacket and the cashier didnt take the chip out of the jacket. I drove home and my sister realized they didnt take the chip out. I have to drive back to the store. The manager didnt seem helpful. She asked for receipt. I told her what if I accidentally lost the receipt, then how can you take out for me? It wasnt my fault. She said then we cant take it out for you. Then I said I wont come back here again because I was mad. She told me back "okay bye". As a manager, she shouldnt say that to customer. I feel ashamed being there. I was shopping at this location this past weekend. I had a good idea about what the total cost of my purchase would be. At the checkout, one item that I had selected was supposed to be 50% off but rang up at full price, I had to remind the clerk that this was 50% so she went and checked and sure enough, it was as I had stated. Then when she told me the total, I said that it must be incorrect as I had added it up prior to my purchase. Since there was a line, I decided to go outside the store after my purchase and re-calculate on my phone calculator. Sure enough, they over charged me. I went back in and got in line again and told the issue to another clerk. She added each item up on a calculator and wow, she got the same amount that I did on my phone calculator. They over charges me by 5.00+ dollars. To some this may not seem like a lot but the more I thought about it what if I'm not the only customer who was over charged on my purchases? They brought in a manager, who then added the items up again on a calculator, and then they proceeded to tell me they had to get another manager. Then I was told that they had to look at the receipt and determine what they were going to do. I politely asked them to just refund me the difference as I had been there for quite some time now and we all know 'Time is money, right?'. I waited and waited and then a manager came up with my receipt and asked me 'So what item are you saying that we incorrectly charged you for? Hummmm,......... I responded once again that if you total up the items I purchased it does not match what I was charged. You over charged me. Then she told the other clerk to refund and then re-purchase the items, they voided out each item then re-rang up and once again the total was for the incorrect amount. Hummmm...... Then they decided to go to the cash register that the original purchase was made on to VOID the transaction. Still waiting............ Then they rang up the items on a different cash register and wouldn't you know it, it rang up correctly. I then swiped my card again and after about 30 minutes later, I was on my way again. I will never go back to this location or maybe this store again but if I do I will be paying close attention to what the total charge of my purchases are. I would probably be a good idea for anyone who is shopping at this location to check their receipts as they may have been overcharged also. BEWARE!!!!! read more
