I am a little stunned by some of the reviewers here mentioning stinky carpets, unfriendly atmosphere, and rude/unhelpful teachers. I have been in sessions with a variety of instructors and not one of them have I considered them arrogant or oblivious to students' needs. They all have various styles and personalities, which is the beauty of it. Also, I had a c-section and I was grateful that the instructors would advice me on modified poses. Then I subsequently hurt my shin and again I got recommended adjusted poses from the instructor -- one of the best advice was from Mary Ellen. And stinky carpets? You gotta be kidding me. I think the only STINK I ever experienced was from my overly noxious neighbor who ate too many onions. I'm actually really glad that they utilize carpets in this yoga center providing a safe, skid-free floor to perform poses on. I've been to bikram yoga centers where they have creaky fans and old rubber flooring which is a catastrophe in itself. At least everything functions properly here and they maintain a clean facility. I also appreciate that the instructors recognize new students by name before class begins and at the end of class by applauding them for staying and trying. I'm looking forward to continuing my practice here at this hot yoga center.

He leans over you to get a closer look at your "form" while intentionally dripping his sweat all over you. The other instructor was nice & welcoming, but AVOID Aaron. The studio is carpeted (unhygienic) and unfortunately the smell and sound of prior strangers' sweat squelching underneath your yoga mat is an extremely unpleasant. This studio is spacious and I really would have liked a better experience, but will not be back due to Aaron's lewd behaviour and poor attitude.

Corrections are gentle and rarely framed like you're doing that wrong unless you're about to hurt yourself. All ages and body types are represented here in a welcoming supportive environment. I truly appreciate the variety offered as every class is very different from the last. There are 5 reformers in the small room and one is extra tall and wide. Springwall units in the big room offer a lower entry price than reformer. There's a combo tower-reformer out in the big room used for privates too. Starting with some private sessions will help instructors learn how to tailor to your unique needs as you enter the group classes. They also check for injuries and ask for requests at the start of class. Anytime I join a studio where they don't check on injuries first, I'm unlikely to return, tbh. Begin instructors also have excellent habits of checking for consent on any touches. When a class is a bit smaller, it feels like they are tailored to focus on strengthening each students' particular weaknesses. Exactly what I'm looking for in my core workouts! I haven't worked with every instructor there yet, but each has a unique style. As I continue my practice there, I'm also happily becoming part of a friendly community, my secondary goal!

I've only attended a few classes so I can't speak to their entire breadth of instructors and yoga styles, but those I have attended I have enjoyed. Instructors have been friendly and welcoming to everyone, suggesting modifications as needed. All necessary materials have been supplied except yoga mats (it's a $2 rental). They do various workshops/events/series/promotions, like yoga for bigger bodies, sound healings, yoga for scoliosis, a promo for people who bike to class, gut health workshop, etc. Pricing as of today on their website: $45 new student one-month intro, $18 per drop-in class, $160 for a ten-class card (expires in 6 months), $75 for five-classes monthly, $85 for unlimited monthly. They offer a scholarship program and a work study program. Street parking only. Nice to be near some food and drink options for happy hour before or dinner after class!

Heather is a cheerful and patient teacher, perfectly able to make comfortable even those very new to the practice of yoga. One of her loveliest classes consists of mindful breathing and relaxation; letting the body loosen up and let go of all the tension that we hold without knowing. I practiced with Julie as I became more familiar with the basic poses. Her style is gentle, encouraging, and promoting of mindfulness - of listening to your body and not pushing yourself to injury. I am particularly grateful to Julie because after I suffered a knee injury that greatly limited my ability to practice yoga, she helped me design a series of poses with extensive modifications so that I could strengthen my body without exacerbating my pain. Also, I confess that I admired Julie's selection of music for her class so much, that I asked her to share her playlist with me for my home practice (which she generously did).
