I placed a deposit on a 2024 Tacoma Limited hybrid. I was sent paperwork showing the vehicle VIN and configuration. As time got closer to the promised date, I called for a status and was told that the truck had been sold at another dealer. First of all, I don't believe that it was allocated to and sold at another dealer. This vehicle VIN showed that it was allocated to Columbia Gorge Toyota on toyota.com. My speculation is that they were offered a premium price by someone else and rather than uphold their commitment to my deposit, they took the extra cash. I've asked other dealers if this was something that ever happened and they were shocked that my deposit wasn't honored. I wouldn't trust these people with anything. Go somewhere else. read more

Ok. I understand that we are living in a different time right now (covid) but there things that as a customer services they are they should be attentive to. 1- Some sales people don't wear masks ( one who is speaking Spanish to a customer) right besides me. 2- when I spoke to the manager, he assisted me to seat outside ( it's 35 degrees today). After waiting outside with my young daughter for 5 min we froze. We went inside and sat on the sales area. There were 4 people waiting in the service area. I understand that this very difficult to manage but, after seeing their answer to me, I decided not to buy a Toyota ever again. As soon as my car is paid off and brake to the last screw, I will go to another agency You know what? Tonkin has been very good to me with my Buick. Ladies, if you want to be treated like crap and be subjected to feel like a stupid woman, this is your place I got a message for an "urgent' recall situation in which I was informed would take 20 min. I made an appointment. I had to travel 20 miles to do this and was there for over an hour. During that time, I could see my car and service guys doing nothing but checking their phones and chit chatting. When I dropped off my car, I asked them to look into another issue. I was told they didn't have time. When all was done - literally a few minutes to make sure my battery was installed correctly (the recall situation), - which lasted over an hour, I asked about the other issue and the service manager implied the other issue was my fault or someone else's. I explained I'm the only one driving it and would not lie about how it happened. read more

Went to to have my car appraised after getting a KBB cash offer for $22000 about a month ago. After chatting with the rep for 45 minutes, it had magically depreciated in value by almost $8000, wouldn't you know it? Super disappointing, would not try and work with them again. Waste of time. Some manager, named Jayme Reineccius, took an hour to pull up the Kelly Blue Book on our trade-in and then offered a significantly low offer. We sold it quickly for FULL asking price, after leaving Jayme. He clearly did not want our business and now I'm glad I didn't give them an opportunity to profit off my car. I keep trying since we like Toyotas, but after Jayme's terrible service, I won't buying from them. Aaron - you don't seem to understand why we're upset. We sat outside for an hour for the appraisal. We didn't want to come in because there were people not wearing a mask over their face. We also never got a call back after we said that we'd prefer to keep the business local. The other dealership took less than 20 min from dropping the car off to signing over the car, with a much higher offer. read more

They took care of annoying warranty calls, they gave me a ride to Hood River, they did anything and everything they could to make sure I had the best experience possible. read more

My wife and I went in to sell my current vehicle they offered us less then the original deal they offered us was just part of the deal the other part was we put money down on new vehicle a month and a half ago and they offered us a deal we agreed too,but now they up the monthly amount and gave us less for my current vehicle we signed the original deal ,but today was different. We put money down to hold it on original deal and they said market changed so we no longer get original deal glad I waited a month and a half to find that out and truck still ain't here. read more

1 star is generous for this place. I was charged $92 for a wheel alignment and then a week later I needed another one because the camber and caster was way off. I had added 1.25" wheel spacers and Griffith is blaming them for the alignment being off and will not perform another without payment. Again, if anyone has ever had experience with spacers, you will know that quality billet aluminum hubcentric spacers will not cause an alignment issue. Also, I had wheels re-balanced because they also said those are way off and causing vibrations. Well clearly they have no idea what they're doing because I'm still getting the same vibrations on those tires as if I never went in. Stay away from this place at all cost. There are way better places in the Gorge that will treat you well and know what customer service is. read more

I bought a Honda from Griffith years back. It was the best car buying experience I've ever had. We did the paperwork and credit checks on the computer, they confirmed the correct vehicle I wanted, then they drove it 55 miles a couple of towns over to me and handed over the keys to a perfect and brand new car. I had a 0 percent loan from Honda and the contract was perfect as we agreed. I am researching to see if they did Toyotas and learned that Mr Griffith did, but had recently sold his dealerships. I will still be looking at Mario Hernandez's Columbia Gorge Toyota for a purchase, and hopefully it's not the usual horrible terrible crappy car buying experience. I have an 830 Credit score, my recent purchase of a Ford Truck from Damerow I paid cash and it sucked and I remembered again how much I hate buying new cars when they tried to hide an extra $1600+ fee in the contracts fine print after we had negotiated it already. Just sucked, made me long for Griffith. I might wait a few months, look around and see how it all shakes out. Best of luck in retirement Mr Griffith. The first time I went in they were good. I thought I had scheduled an oil change online, but I guess it doesn't fully schedule when you do it that way. They took me anyways, they were about ready to close so I thought that was nice. Jump forward to this past week I have been calling all week, been forwarded to the service department, always with no answer. I finally today had enough of not being answered, even with telling someone many times that they don't answer after being forwarded. I got told they will leave a message for them to call me back. I never got called back. Today I ask to speak to a manager & also don't get an answer there. While on the phone with an other dealership to schedule an oil change (one that actually takes phone calls) they called me back. It's a headache trying to get anything serviced here. I don't recommend coming here. Vancouver Toyota got me scheduled in less than 5 mins I was getting my vehicle serviced a half hour later. Guess I'll just continue to use them since I go into Vancouver regularly. read more

Bought a Toyota Sienna that we love but the salesman at Griffith lied to us. He talked us into the platinum Toyota extended warranty by saying that if we didn't use it they would send us a refund for it at the end of the period. Period is over with no claims and they didn't send it. Now they say we didn't jump through the hoops that they neglected to tell us about. They say we only had 30 days to file for it but that's tough to do if you don't know it or even how to file for it. read more
