2.27.22 I have been coming here for years because they offer a great deal through Groupon. Unlike other car washes, they have attendants who hand prep your vehicle by scrubbing with a brush prior to going through the soft cloth tunnel wash. My husband got my WeatherTech car mat dirty with mud a few months ago so I asked the attendant if he could spray it down for me, which he kindly did. It's considerably cleaner now even though it wasn't scrubbed with soap. I gave him a tip as I was so appreciative of him for going above and beyond. Today will be my last going here. A short time back I realized that I was directed into the groove and thought nothing of it. When I got out I could see my wheels were messed up because the wheels scrapped the groove. I remember hearing it. I went today and was directed into the groove. I heard it scrape. When I stopped I told him I keep getting my wheels scrapped. He tells me to turn my wheels again. Once I put the car in neutral it scrapes AGAIN! I can't see which way my tires need to be turned and I rely on the person to give me accurate direction. I can't afford to pay for damages that could have been prevented. Will not go back. I saw a deal on Groupon and decided to give CJCW a try. Glad I did. Highly proficient staff. Guided me to the tracks perfectly to get pulled through the wash service effortlessly. The end result was a spotless car. Only suggestion: the dryer is part of the traction belt. It pushes you through too quickly. It would be nice to be able to control the the dry time instead of being rushed through. Outside of that, very impressed with the service for the price. I paid for the Ultimate car wash in the soft cloth bay. I discovered after I pulled in to the bay dad half of the nozzles were frozen over with ice and I got in the incomplete car wash. It did not do a very good job on the undercarriage or on the back of my vehicle. It was supposed to be a soft cloth car wash but no cloths touched my vehicle. It is a misrepresentation of the car wash that this is. *** Updated Review *** I was contacted by the owner the day after I posted my review to come back to their soft cloth drive-through which is actually right next to the other one. He offered to have meGo through that one at no charge. I went back and did just that. It did a good job. Unfortunately it snowed later that day and the wash didn't last long. I found this place online. Maybe the soft cloth wash is good and the self cleaning bays seem nice if you have the time and energy. However, I did the Premium Touch Free Laser wash for $10. It seemed like it was cleaning my car as I stood in it, but my car was still dirty (literally had a film of dirt still on it!) when I drove out. It didn't even get the bird poop off on one side. If I had more time, I would have parked and asked for my money back. I will not be back for the laser wash. read more

This place is behind a gas station business and a Taco Bell, so if you aren't looking for it, you may miss it from the street. I like this place. I got "The Works" car wash, they were very nice and my car looks great. The great thing is that you can do it yourself or just pay a reasonable cost and go through their car wash. I had to vacuum my car myself, but it was $3 for 10 minutes or you could pay $1.50 for less time, I don't remember how long $1.50 gets you. That's the only downfall, I would have paid someone to vacuum my car, but at least it wasn't expensive and my car is happy and I am happy. read more

After a very bad experience somewhere else, I checked YELP (why didn't I check here first???) and decided to come check out Columbia Junction Car Wash. I got there and it wasn't especially busy. I wanted a full-service car was, and was really surprised to see that they offered so many options - self-serve, touchless, and traditional. My interior is always pretty clean, but my exterior needed help bad. I opted for the full-service carwash. It wasn't expensive and my car came out GLEAMING. I couldn't be happier. I have washed my car by hands several times at this shop, and it was very satisfying experience. However, when I tried auto wash two days ago, I disappointed about no dry function was included. That was fine, but I checked my vehicle once I stopped by gas station, I was shocked because there were several major paint damage on my car. I swear that there was no any impact before and after car wash. I emailed them, and they said those damaged might be caused when I got rid of snows before. If so, I surely recognized those damages, and I didn't even need to contact them about damages. I attached several photos. I hope you guys avoid this place. I have been taking my cars here since it first opened. I love the self serve bays as well as having the automatic tunnel when I don't have time to,do It myself. They even added a touchless wash a few years back. The vacuum times have always been fair. Never seems to cost me an arm and a leg like it has at other places in the past. I have also used their detailing service. I swear it has made a difference when I took my cars up the road to get appraisels at CarMax before trading them in or selling them. Really great service! Lastly, the staff has always been friendly and helpful as well. Any rare problem I have had (machine swallowing quarters once) was handled right away without issues, If you are looking for a good place to wash your car(s), I highly recommend it. read more

Worst car wash I've ever been to. Between the abysmal customer service, to the poor wash itself. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. Pulling up to the wash, you're greeted with people that behave as if you're bothering them just by being there. They do a half-ass job spraying down the car, take a brush and beat your car up with it, and then send you down the tunnel to a wash that leaves your car soapy and with water spots. I was foolish enough to sign up for the monthly plan, which they try to scam you in to keeping. No where do they have posted that there is a clause that says you have to keep the plan for over 2 months before you're allowed to cancel it. They simply have you sign a receipt and they take a copy of your credit card information. They're storing this data in plain text in their computer as well, this is pretty worrying in and of itself. When going in to cancel my subscription after only having it for a week, and explaining that I was canceling because of the crappy wash that's performed on my car, and the poor customer service, I was met with hostility from the employees there that I was claiming were the reason for the poor customer service. After explaining everything to the guy who was to cancel my membership, he tried to pull a fast one on us. He tried claiming that we couldn't cancel it. Well, thankfully it's easy enough for me to cancel the card they have in their system and just get a new one same day with my bank. I'll never go back, not even for the self wash. Complete waste of time, and money. Let alone being likely to damage your car, and/or have your credit card information stolen or, at the very least, held hostage so that you keep the plan for two months. Stay away. read more

I've been coming there for many years. Recently, the automated car wash damaged a wheel (my sports car, the wheels of which protrude past the tire rubber). The owner accepted responsibility and had the wheel PERFECTLY refinished. I'm a loyal, happy customer, now using the self-service bays for my GTI. Then get thee to your vehicle and drive to Jessup, home of Columbia Junction Car Wash. "But, Morgan, it's so far away..." Yeah, but you know what? It's next to the Jiffy Lube where you don't have to wait forever. So get an oil change & clean your car afterwards. "But I only change my oil every three months..." Well, then use this as an excuse to drive to Frank's Diner, eat delicious fatty diner food, then drive here to wash your car and work off some calories. They have two automatic bays (which will do you no good if you have a convertible) and 4 self-serve, with plenty of vacuum stations to boot. The change machines work, but guess what? You don't have to use them, because if you are short on cash, you can put the self-serve wash on your credit card. "What...that's crazy talk!" Not at the Columbia Junction Car Wash, my friend. They have evolved beyond a baggie full of quarters. $2.50 gets you 4 minutes of washing time. $5 will get you a decently clean car. It was not packed during my visit (Sat. mid-afternoon), so I have a feeling that it would be ok to get really into detailing out the car, if that's what you're into. read more

Basically, I got a good exterior wash for a reasonable price. I should say that the wash is mostly no frills. Unlike other places, they do not vacuum your car or wash the interior windows or give an undercarriage wash. However, when you take your car in, it is dirty, when you come out it is clean. And with the most expensive wash being $14, you can't really beat the price. (At least not from a person who was living in DC when he would use car washes.) Will I go here again? Probably not, because my complex has a car washing area. However, if I need a quick scrub or it is really cold, I will come here again. read more

About 6 miles from work, the space is small unlike Glen Burnie Car Wash but Columbia has enough car wash stations. Although not near home, I like that the prices would save me money than having it wash at GB. CJ does have the same car wash functional facility and I would not mind getting my car wash when I feel being in the neighborhood. For me, staying in my car while it is being washed is easier and comfortable unlike Dr. Car Wash in 21225 and BJ's in 21061, staffs drive your car to the car wash station. Only thing that you won't get at Columbia is a personal towel dry service. read more

What a waste. I had a groupon for 3 "the works" washes (their best one) for 50% off. cost me $21. The wash is ok i guess, how hard can a drive thru wash be. You get pushed thru the dryer in about 15 seconds, my car was soaked when I got through, not to mention there was still soap. So without a groupon this was a $14 wash, I wouldn't pay $5 for it. read more

I used the "laser touch less" wash I think it was the premium setting,$9 one step down from the top. Car looks about the same as if I sprayed it off with the hose maybe worse. The under body and rocker wash turned off before I got 1/2 way in the bay. read more

This place is OK for the cost. I took my car through the automated touch-less laser wash. It was quick and convenient. No long lines like at the gas station. Price was right too, about 11 bucks for the top wash. It did a good job at removing most of the winter grime and salt from my car. However, it still left a thin layer of film on the car. You can't really compare it to a good old fashion hand wash. But its good for a quick wash if you don't want anyone or anything scratching your paint. My other gripe was that there was no blow-dryer at the end of the wash. Other places have this, so just keep that in mind. read more

I was in the area on Monday, March 20, 2017. I bought a $8 dollar "Groupon" for the Works car wash. This was my first time coming to this washer. Took my truck through and came out with "hood scratches" damage from the equipment. After "4" days trying to make contact with the owner "Stanley Speace," I finally did make contact and showed him the damage. Mr. Speace flat out denied any responsibility, an it was the worst customer service experience that I had ever had. Mr. Speace was very unprofessional and didn't even try to solve my issue. I will never return to this location or area ever again and will definitely pass this experience to other people that I know. read more

Last summer I had them wax my car and they did a great job. This winter I treated myself to the monthly plan so I can go as much as I want. It's great!! This place is seriously legit. I have a book of coupons I bought because I'd been so pleased with them that I no longer felt the need to wash my car myself. I'm the person that LOVES a clean car and for years I did it myself because I'd never found a car wash that could do a good job - until I moved to this area. The guys here practically wash your car BEFORE you go through the car wash. Today, however, they stopped the machines while I was halfway through to tell me that something had messed up the machines and they asked me to roll through and then come back around to go through again. We had an excellent experience at Columbia Junction. I had my car detailed and when it was completed it looked brand new. The person who did my detail walked me through the entire car and explained what he did. I couldn't have been happier with the way it looked. The employees were extremely respectful and hard working. This is sometimes not the case with car washes I have been to in the past, so I felt it was worth mentioning. My husband went through the soft cloth wash. The wash was powerful and the car came out looking great after a big snow storm with lots of salt covered roads. We will definitely be using Columbia Junction as our sole car wash in the future. read more

This business charged me $18 for a car wash which did not include drying my car or vacuuming the interior. This price is excessive and very much out of line with the local marketplace. Comparable businesses would at least vacuum the interior, clean the inside of the windows, and dry the car for the same price. I would rate this place a zero if the website would allow me. read more
