I always drive to Jessup from Ellicott City for my car washes since they seemed to be the best around. When I got a coupon for a free wash at Gander, I figured I'd try them out--nothing to lose! I was surprised at how friendly everyone was--even people who weren't helping me smiled or waved. Great first impression! Two guys got right to work, brushing and washing my car. Then it was time to move on the automated track that had another wash with lots of suds. After a rinse, I got a hot wax and blow drying. To be honest, it was just like what I was used to in Jessup--until I pulled out to drive away. Before I had gone too far, another smiling attendant wiped the water off my car and gave me a thumbs up. My go to wash in Ellicott City. They have a touch free automatic wash and many self wash bays. I usually just do the automatic wash. After you are done they do have employees who will dry your vehicle and put your side view mirrors back in the correct position. read more

A multi-lane car wash that has been around forever-- I've been using them since early in the century. The service I use is their automated lanes, which are open 24/7. The machines do a surprisingly good job, although they're not quite as effective on a smaller car like my Mazda hatchback-- it sort of "misses" the top of the rear, which might be a function of the curved hatch. Be sure to drive in slowly to give the system a chance to wash the undercarriage and wheels. Car washes also tend to make some effort deal with their wastewater, which is cumulatively better than home washing & letting it run into suburban stormdrains Overall, I wish it was a dollar or 3 cheaper, but it sure beats DIY. read more

Sign says the name is Ganders Express. Vacuumed around but the car mat cleaner is the best! The vacuum is super loud. The washer stations are fine but takes 15 seconds once you flip the switch for the next wash solution to come out. All in all, clean, not busy, and works. read more

The touchless wash does a very poor job of cleaning my car. If you want to get a clean, don't expect this to do anything.

Few things are good about this Auto wash service 1) Super quick Car wash 2) Price is reasonable. But it is difficult to know what is being used during wash cycle, There should be some kind of indicator of each wash stages ( normally every good Auto wash service keep that for customers satisfaction) 3) After wash-Air dryer timing is not enough. Went to this car wash today to clean my car (gotta love washing your car in the winter...ugh) and it was alright. I wasn't super impressed but I wasn't super underwhelmed either. If you are washing your car they have several bays you can park in and wash your car yourself or you can go through the drive thru car wash. I picked the wash it yourself bay. You have to put in at least $3.00 to start and you can pay with cash or card. I found once you start the machine up it does take quite a bit of time in between different items - ex: pre soak, foaming soap, rinse, etc. Also, the tire cleaner didn't work in the bay I was in so I left with somewhat dirty tires. Once you're done cleaning your car you pull out and they have several machines where you can vacuum and/or shampoo the carpet/upholstery in your vehicle. For the vacuum you need to pay $2.00 in quarters to start. I had $1.75 in quarters but luckily they have a change machine to convert your bills into change. Sadly the only bill I had was a $20. I'm now jingling everywhere I go. They also sell air fresheners, armor all wipes, towels, etc so that you can do a quick interior detailing job. All in all I spent about $30 to wash my car, vacuum the inside and hang a new air freshener. read more

I have used this car wash for several years. Lately, my car doesn't come out of the big wash as clean as it used to. The last two times in the wash, the wheels came out dirty, the windows were streaked and there were spots on the windows. I don't expect the wheels to be shiny and perfect, but I do expect the dirt to be removed. I don't know what's going on there, but I am not happy. I will probably drive over to Snowden for the car wash, more expensive but at least the car is done right. read more

This is my go to place for an excellent and quick car wash. I usually do the Touchless laser car wash to minimize contact and scratches. No complaints here. Always comes out spotless. Only place in the local area that has the touchless car wash. Great price and open 24/7. It does not have a dryer feature which is fine because that just creates water marks. Highly recommend coming prepared with microfiber cloth so you can give it a simple wipe down. There's plenty of space around the property for you to park to towel dry. read more

Behind the car washing bays, there is a row of vacuum stations (need 6 quarters to operate). I used the touch-less car wash and honestly it didn't clean my car much. I tried the basic wash as it was my first time using a car wash but I thought it would get rid of the dirt on my hood and the pollen and petals on the top of my car. The wash did get rid of the pollen but the first was still on my car and so were the petals. Maybe I was expecting too much but I'll try the deluxe wash next time I go and see if I get better results. read more

I absolutely love this car wash. After carting two dogs home from a muddy hike, the interior of my silver fox was filthy and desperately needed a good vacuum. I stopped by on a Sunday around noon and there were plenty of self serve bays available. I like that the vacuums actually have great suction, and have consistently done a good job picking up dirt, debris, and dog hair that accumulate in my car. The self serve car wash is decent too. I have only used it once, and I was satisfied with the job, but I prefer to do it myself at home where I don't feel like I'm trying to beat the clock. All in all, the prices are reasonable, the wait times are minimal if there is ever a line, and I'll continue coming here for my car washing needs. read more

A successful business has repeat customers. My experience at this business taught me that I am a one time only customer at this business. This review is for the DIY Car Wash Bay. Great neighborhood location, a tight squeeze in the bays (negative for wide cars like mine), but once in...Dolly's treats you for a multitude of washing options ranging from tire/rim cleaner, pre-soak, high pressure soap, high pressure rinse, foaming brush, high pressure wax, and spot-less rinse. Definitely more options than I was used to at Sam's in Oxon Hill...and in a way, this place is a lot cleaner and better laid out than Sam's with more washing options! The high pressure wax and soap and rinse was a huge plus with the spot-less rinse. And talk about convenience, the machine allows for credit card payment (although it charges the $6.00 maximum), but if you truly are washing the car, you'll need $12.00 to finish the job...which is the same price as an automated wash but 5x as clean! Plus, you get to revel in the job you just did! As an auto enthusiast, I definitely will return and this is now my go-to spot for washes before meets and photoshoots! If you like to wash your own car this place would be great for you however, for automatic carwash I wouldn't recommend it. For $11, you get "premium deluxe car wash" without dryer! So, same amount of money I would go to different automatic "touch less" carwash with the dryer rather then having to worry about water marks on my cars or having to carry my own towels to dry water off the car. read more

The car wash has plenty of bays for multiple cars. The powerwash is pretty powerful and gets the job done. I wish I could pause the machine so I could scrub for longer period of time without feeling rushed. Overall it's a pretty decent car wash.
