The particular theater we were placed in was absolutely filthy. The seats were stained, dingy, and looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. I honestly couldn't relax or get comfortable because genuinely concerned about how unsanitary the seating looked. I ended up sitting upright through the entire film because I didn't want to sit back in the seat. The one positive was the concession attendant, who was pleasant and friendly. The popcorn flavor was good as well, but it clearly was not fresh or hot, which was disappointing considering the prices. I'm relatively new to the area, so I can't speak to other theaters nearby, but I personally will not return to this location. Going to the movies should feel enjoyable and comfortable, and unfortunately this experience was neither.

My husband and I went on a double date with another couple to the movies on a Sunday morning to see the new Star Wars, The Mandalorian and Grogu. Four tickets for an 11 AM Sunday morning showing, plus popcorn (we shared two) and sodas, was well over $100. The movie was fine, but the theatre is nothing special and needs some upgrades and TLC. The seats did not recline, and the floors were the typical sticky movie theatre floors. Swamp Fox Cinema has arcade games for kids and offers birthday parties, which is a nice touch. It is close to I-95, so it's one way to escape a boring hotel room if you're traveling through for a night. The movie theatre is one of the few date options in town that doesn't center around eating/drinking, and I wish they had more deals or specials so folks could afford to bring their loved ones and families here.
