In the past, I have had many positive experiences, which is why my interaction today was especially disappointing. I was helped by a representative named Destiny, and unfortunately, the level of customer service I received was extremely poor. From the beginning of the interaction, her attitude came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. My family and I made a simple request for an extra popcorn container so we could share our popcorn, but instead of trying to help or responding in a friendly manner, Destiny made the situation feel like we were asking for something unreasonable. Her tone, facial expressions, and overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable. When I asked a question, she appeared visibly annoyed, sighed, and acted as though our request was a burden. Customer service should be about making guests feel valued, not making them feel like they are causing an inconvenience. To make matters worse, she also failed to provide the candy and drink that were part of our order, which showed a lack of care and attention. What should have been a fun outing with my family was negatively affected by an interaction that could have easily been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. I hope AMC takes this feedback seriously and works with Destiny to improve her customer service approach. Employees represent the company, and guests deserve to be treated with patience, respect, and a positive attitude.

She was a sweetheart and comped our tickets and said she hoped we had a happy birthday and enjoy the show!! When we went back to her house, she told her husband that's what she wanted for her birthday in December was to take her to the movies! They've been married for 41 years!! The comfort level of the seats were amazing and a full bar is there!! I wish we had one like this in Mt. Pleasant!! Ours is nasty !! For the past few weeks we've been visiting this location, because they have "The Market" every Saturday from 9am-1pm. They only do this local market from May 14th through September 24th. I have discovered some awesome local vendors that sell alot of homemade crafts. This Amphitheater also does many free concert events on Thursdays, and it's always a great time. There is a huge separate building that has both male and female restrooms. There is a public parking lot on site, as well as nearby street parking. Even when they've had large entertainment events, we've never had any issues with parking. The tickets said the event was for 6:00, then it was changed to 6:30. At 7:45, the band still had not made it out and people were complaining. When one of our party went to talk with the management to find out what was going on and why things weren't on time. The first person we spoke to said they didn't know what the hold up was. When the event planner was approached, he said that they were on time. We have never been to an event there where we had to wait so long before the performers began. Then when the event finally started, it was unbearably loud. So much so, that there was feedback and distortion. We had to leave. First time we have ever been let down, but this was a big let down and to top it off , we had to pay for the tickets. Surely their contract spells out what is expected of the band. When they are to go on stage and for how long. Also, I have never been there when it was physically uncomfortable because they music was so loud. My ears are still ringing.

There was definitely a noticeable increase in prices this year that left us questioning if we will go back next year or just spend the extra money to visit another state's fair like NC. The official parking is $20 so we opted to park in a nearby private lot for $10 and walk a little further. Kiosks have been added this year to purchase tickets if you don't already have them which I thought was nice. We typically stick to trying the new food items and this year there were several that we didn't get due to the price ($20 food sundae, $15 funnel cake, etc), but we did enjoy the cotton candy lemonade and cheesecake trio! My favorite item at the fair is the jalapeño corndog from Daley's and they gave me a cold one that wasn't worth the $10 and extra $1 for using a card. Entertainment seems to be generally the same each year and could definitely use refreshing. I'm not sure if it was advertised (I never saw anything beforehand), but Sandra Lee was one of the judges for the food competitions this year. As for the actual food, I got the 1231 Burger off recommendation from my friend. The burger was amazing and I would raise my praises to claim that it is the best burger in Columbia. The fries were fantastic and the burger itself was massive. I also got onion rings and I would also rate it as the best I've had in South Carolina so far. For final remarks, I would like to give praise to the staff and the building itself. The staff members were efficient and incredibly professional.
