We went to see the new movie End of Oak street. When you come in the front door there's no one to greet you like in the old days. They have a kiosk in the front lobby to check in or go to the snack desk. I chose to buy my tickets on the regal app and I was surprised at the prices. I bought two senior tickets and still paid almost thirty dollars for two. The theater is a nice large area not very many people were there. They have an old time picture booth where you can sit in and the pictures come out automatically after payment of course. They are equipped with plenty of snacks and drinks a little pricey. If I didn't want to get out the house for a while I might have waited for the movie to come available on tv to stream. The lady at the desk was helpful she scanned my phone and pointed in the direction we needed to go. In the theater the seats were comfortable but the floor was a little sticky like someone had wasted something on the floor. The movie was great despite all the previews. I won't be returning anytime soon because the prices are too much. Only if there is a movie I want to watch early and can't wait for streaming. More than likely I will have to go the less expensive route another theater or streaming. read more

The Regal Swamp Fox Cinema opened when I was a kid, and it was a big deal. Even back then (20+ years ago), it was a pricey movie theatre, but today, I feel like Florence locals are priced out. Movie and concession prices here are more expensive than HCOL areas in SC and other states. My husband and I went on a double date with another couple to the movies on a Sunday morning to see the new Star Wars, The Mandalorian and Grogu. Four tickets for an 11 AM Sunday morning showing, plus popcorn (we shared two) and sodas, was well over $100. The movie was fine, but the theatre is nothing special and needs some upgrades and TLC. The seats did not recline, and the floors were the typical sticky movie theatre floors. Swamp Fox Cinema has arcade games for kids and offers birthday parties, which is a nice touch. It is close to I-95, so it's one way to escape a boring hotel room if you're traveling through for a night. The movie theatre is one of the few date options in town that doesn't center around eating/drinking, and I wish they had more deals or specials so folks could afford to bring their loved ones and families here. read more

I was so disappointed. The family and I were excited to see the new Spiderman and thought, we usually go to the local Julia 4 but why not go to try Swampfox. Ticket prices are close to $20- a piece, which even though crazy, hey stadium seating, surround sound, why not experience it?! So the movie time listed was 9:45pm in Theater 2...the previews didn't even start playing until 9:56pm...we just sat there watching Cancer and Kidney med adds on a loop. So two previews in, the manager walks in to announce, yelling at the whole theater in a commanding voice - "if you are not in your assigned seat - move now!" - then proceeds to walk the aisles, questioning a hand full of people, so no previews could be enjoyed With a focus on that. Then after close to 10 previews or so, the movie began. I noticed that there were 8 surround soeakers mounted and zeeo sound coming out of them. The only speaker playing sound was at the front of the theater and the volume was turned down. So I walked out to engage a movie team member and shared that the surround sound was not turned on, they immediately said "no problem". No change still only the front speakers, a theater leader even cale in, listend for a second and left, still zero change. Volume down, listening only to the front speaker (no surround) for a big cinematic release. Imagine what listening to the customer experience might do...there may be a reason why the overall theater rating is a 2.0 something...if I could rate lower than a 1 I would. Julia 4 never fails in the surround sound department, with great seating and the cost is superior! We won't be back to Florence SF theater. read more

$20 for a ticket to see the new Superman movie? No way I'm paying that. Just a few weeks ago, we went to see Predator Badlands, almost $100 buck for 2 tickets, drinks and some candy, never again. Paid 14 dollars for a ticket for a SING ALONG MOVIE and we got fussed at for being to loud and it killed the whole movie vibe. Ain't nobody singing anymore. And on top of that I paid 13 dollars for a pack of gummy's and a tea that I could've gotten anywhere else for 6 dollars anywhere else. We're the only ones who got talked to when literally everyone was screaming so that's real stupid. Like what do you do during a Horror movie day oh no screaming ain't aloud please be quiet? Not cool swamp fox not cool. You disrespect what a movie theater is. This is simply unacceptable and just a whole bad time for everyone. Price was alright about 9.30 for a ticket for a variety of movies in comparison to Julia 4 cinemas . Food prices are always up on the expensive end . They have moved table games and sitting equipment which probably is due to the pandemic . Otherwise you just walk in and go to the movies . You could tell no one has really been in there in quite some time . Bathrooms are terribly dirty and It looks dreadful down the hallway , maybe changing up the carpet will help . This is one of the two theatre choices in Florence, the larger movie choice one. It looks nice on outside, inside there is a concession stand in center. At the time we went there was 1 food line w about eleven people waiting so that discouraged me from buying. Our tickets purchased for 8pm showing was around $27.99 for two adults. The theatre experience itself was disappointing, there was no central air conditioning, no fan on ceiling, no air circulation, too stuffy. The chairs are just basic, they don't even lean back a little, there is a drink holder. The floor was one of those stick to your shoes sounding, you know never cleaned so don't drop anything. If your use to feeling the action from the high resolution speakers that is absent. The number of chairs in the arena was small for opening night feature. For the price point of tickets you'd expect to have some perks in the theatre, they seriously need to renovate inside. I would go elsewhere but it's this or one other theatre in town. read more

I went here to see The French Dispatch on a regular weekday. Had the place to myself as far as I could tell! I thought I dropped my phone on the floor and ended up feeling around under my chair, which I do not recommend. The actual movie started about 20 minutes after the scheduled time, owing to commercials and previews. Overall it's a good movie theater. Nothing super special, but pretty good. read more

I go to the last showing of wonka and there are kids running all over the place and cussing like sailors kicking the seats screaming and hollering and they can't pick a seat to sit down they keep moving all over the place when I was a kid and went to swamp fox and did what these kids are doing I would have gotten kicked out when it is night it needs to be adults only and they won't stop playing commercials but these kids got no respect for anyone if I was there parents I take my belt off and take them in that bathroom and give them something to yell about these kids look old enough to be in middle school or Highschool I wish regal would get their act together and keep this place under control read more

This theater is going terribly downhill. The staff is apathetic and unfriendly. They're understaffed and force you to come stand in line to buy tickets. I purchased my most recent ticket online and, thankfully, it listed the theater number because there were at least10 people in line for concessions and no one to scan/tear tickets. They no longer stock napkins, just tacky rolls of paper towel. Matinee ticket prices have gone up to just shy of $10 which is insane. Unfortunately, I live here in this smaller town so it's my only option on a regular basis for movie variety. But I can go to a movie in Myrtle Beach (when travelling) with a beautiful, clean theater with awesome reclining seats for just $7. I only continue to go here because a) they have more movies and times than our much smaller theater and b) because I have Regal Unlimited and can see ore movies than they ridiculous price increases allow. read more

They didn't turn off the lights!!! i was right below the light therefore i couldn't see the movie because the light was glaring in my face and the screen. There was a group of teenagers who came in a shouted and ruined my experience. They refused to give my $7.00 drink a refill.I suggest a employee comes and monitors the movie so my experience is better next time. read more

Though I suspect it is a new company policy, the Regal CInema in Florence showed - seemingly endless - commercials past the "start" date of the film (upwards of 15 minutes!) which were customarily reserved for coming attractions. And worse, commercials are now interspersed between trailers! It's one thing to subject paid moviegoers to commercials in general, but now to be subject to them right up to the featured film is beyond the pale. read more

It's really sad how ticket prices have increased while the theater experience has either remained the same or worsened. I understand that locally there isn't much competition so maybe maybe the pressure to improve hasn't really been there. I just went to see Infinity War last weekend and was so annoyed by the low volume output from the center channels. I literally had to lean in to make out the dialogue. I've lived in Florence for 17 years now and do remember when Swampfox first opened. It was the greatest! But, by now, we should have a way higher quality theater experience. We are paying Imax prices for low volume, no preferred seating setup, no Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos, and of course no Imax. It's gotten to the point where watching a movie at home on blu-ray is technologically the better choice. Sure, one can say: "Then stay home!" Nice local theater to go to and watch movies. Slightly on the higher end of pricing when it comes to tickets and concessions. However, if you decide to go to the Julia which is also a good theater, your options for movies are more limited. Employees are always nice and service is quick. Line of five people waited at 11 their opening time for this older lady to count the drawer before we could purchase tickets. I feel like that should be done before open.... then I somehow lost my debit card. Maybe I made that mistake myself but I feel like she never gave it back to me. Popcorn was burnt. Seats are sort of uncomfortable. There were several large yellow blotches on my theater screen. That could be easily seen any time the screen was white and during quiet parts we could hear the theater next to us. on weekends your lucky to have 2 windows opened to sell tickets. You wait so long that if want your popcorn you miss a lot of the movie. Do not ask for a cup of coffee as it is never made. speak of having things seems like I have time it wrong many times as I get the barrel and it so low that you have more parts of popcorn not full either. When you have full lines of people it seems there should be someone to make popcorn.
