The facility was nice and seemed to be well equipped but seriously understaffed. It often took a half hour to an hour for an aid or nurse to respond to her call requests. Facility okay, staffing an issue. This time she after having fallen many times in our unit she was hospitalized, They decided to send her to a Rehab Center in Anne Arundel County. This place, though highly rated by Medicare was awful. It was a rather dingy facility in which you were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of urine and feces! It also took an hour or longer for anyone to respond to her calls, often she was told just to "go in your diaper" until we have time for you! The PT/OT facilities were bare-boned and she received barely more than 20 minutes of one or the other during weekdays. And on one of those days they had a group session instead of individual treatment where none of her Rehab needs were addressed! This place was so awful I found myself crying to myself, feeling guilty that she had to stay in this disgusting facility! I fought for and finally received the OK to transfer her to Lorien, Elkridge! I can only describe it as like going from the worst Motel 6 in the world to the Carlton-Ritz! Lorien Elkridge in a very welcoming, clean, well-equipped facility. And the staff, including the those working the front desk, are very welcoming, responsive, kind and caring!! She rarely waits more than 5 to10 minutes when she request assistance. They seem to be eager to get whatever she needs and often do the same for me. The nurse in charge, is on the ball and is willing to put up with my inquires of her medical treatment and requests from me to obtain specific treatments and/or mess (I will admit that my career with the FDA as an expert in both Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals does give me an unique knowledge base.) She gets OT and PT every weekday, often for as long as an hour each! I can't rave enough about this facility and its staff. If you live near Elkridge you definitely would want to send your loved one her if they need rehab. Heck, even if you don't live near here, I would still recommend you check this facility out.

First of all, she has a calming aura about her that makes you feel calm. She is so sincere and you feel like she is speaking and trying to help you from her heart, no judgment. After talking to her for a short while, I realized this was not just business for her, it is a calling. She listens keenly to you and customizes the process to your need. She was with me every step of the way up to birth and postpartum today. During the birthing process she made all the difference. She was so calming and explained things every step of the way. Postpartum she was always there immediately after and still is today, 6 months later. I can always call her or see her to discuss anything. She even helped us put our baby gear together because we had no clue. When she thought I was staying in the house too much and was afraid to venture out with the baby, she came by to try to get me out and acclimated to my new life. She would always call and to this day I feel so supported by her. Now she is family to my husband and I. Hiring Elissa as your doula is one of the best decision you would have made during your pregnancy and I guarantee you will gain a sincere friend.

She provided great advice throughout my pregnancy and she especially gave my husband a lot of confidence in being my support person by having her there during the actual labor and birth. She provided excellent support and kept me grounded during the entire process and immediately stepped in and started providing all the tips and tricks in her wheelhouse to help me cope during my fast and intense epidural-free birth. I would certainly recommend her to anyone else. As for the more administrative end of things, we also have no complaints. Communication was excellent, the contract process with was very clear and straightforward, and we found the doula rates very reasonable.

That way you end up inadvertently meeting the different doulas. We went with Cara. She has a ton of experience and super chill vibe. Our hospital was not allowing extra visitors due to COVID so we signed up for a virtual doula service. She met with us a few times before the birth to review questions, birth plan, and provide support. She was also available via email for random questions that came up in between. The day of my labor I reached out to her as needed and she guided me through some of the decisions we had to make. Her support made it so that I could better advocate for myself and my baby during my labor. She was 100% supportive of all my decisions and in the end I ended up having a beautiful and quick birth. I am so happy we got a doula and recommend it to anyone no matter what type of brith you are planning on having. I found the groups to be more helpful towards the beginning of my pregnancy, especially as it was a time that COVID was just ramping up. The only issue is that the people in group vary from week to week. I think it would be nice to be able to connect with the same group from week to week so there is some continuity.

Appointments often run very late, and visits feel rushed despite long wait times. It has also become difficult to receive certain services or medication support, especially when prior authorizations are required. I've felt that the level of communication and follow‑through has declined, and some issues I raised were not addressed in a timely or consistent way. Because of these changes, I ultimately decided to transition to a different provider. I hope the practice is able to improve its processes moving forward.

I should not have to schedule a new appointment less than a week after the previous appointment to get a prescription that you all said you were going to send to the pharmacy. You delayed my care and I ended up sicker as a result. I have to agree with some of the negative reviews I've seen elsewhere, regarding your for-profit status. You used to be great and I would recommend you to everyone, but I just don't know that I can do that anymore. This is the third time I've had a problem with the prescription and it's been every single time. I had to have a prescription sent from this office, they will try to make me do another appointment just to get it. That's not OK.
