Learning so much in a time when media/Google offers so much "advice" it is great to learn from reputable folks on prenatal and postnatal care. They offer support for mom, baby, and dad. Our class wanted to organize a clothing/food drive, and Martha's Table seemed to have the most bang for your buck. You can always donate in liquid like every other organization, but not as feasible for someone on the student lifestyle. There's plenty of drop-off locations for clothing and baby items across the city. If you can give food items like canned and dried goods, you gotta go to their Maycroft location on Columbia Rd NW. Easy to just reserve a 15-minute appointment on their website and drop off our load. I see their trucks all around the city serving the community - here's to hoping everyone's littles go a long way.

I have witnessed how they receive diapers, formula, clothes, and classes. They are learning how to take care of their children, how to take care of their bodies during the pregnancy, and how to become more healthy, eat more nutritious meals, and learn how to become better managers of their money, and plan long term financially. They are also referred to other churches or communities of their choice where they have a sense of belonging. I don't know how women do it today in this fast paced society. But definitely when you come to Centro Tepeyac, you receive quality care and personal follow ups.
