Nice spot for a quick hike. We dropped by on a Sunday afternoon and there were only a handful of other cars. I believe we took all the trails: the two lolli loops and around the lakes. Trails are mostly flat and very easy to follow. We also peeked around the hatchery tanks and enjoyed reading the educational materials. Seems they're doing a lot of fun and interesting things here, while preserving some appreciated natural space for education, wildlife and those of us who enjoy a trail...as well as some cute carved art in the snags. :) They've got a decent amount of parking available as well as some picnic tables. read more

We came for a field trip with my son's preschool class and it was perfect for a "first hike" experience. Tucked away off evergreen highway. Nice short trails that loop and also the fish hatchery so you can learn the life cycle of salmon. Can't believe we had never been. read more

Doesn't look like much when you drive past; to be honest, it's not really a place you'd notice unless you were looking for it. I happened upon it while putzing around on Google Maps looking for random parks and/or trails during quarantine (like many, I was going a bit stir crazy) it's small enough that I felt super comfortable going by myself, yet big enough that there would be plenty of space should I run into any other stir crazy folks. I'm telling you, I had the best time just (I'm not sure how to say it...) "BEING", I guess? For a brief time I could forget about the absolute utter chaos we've been exposed to every single day and - and just breathe for like, 2 minutes. In this moment of serenity I was able to see the beauty that somehow still exists all around us and take some of the best pictures of my life. There's a small park and trail system there along with the fish hatchery. This is a nice park and interesting place, especially if you have kids as there are some educational aspects to check out when you visit. But even adults may learn or thing or two. It was just the Hubs and I when we visited and we had a nice time checking it out and learned a few things while we were there. There are signs at each part of the fish hatchery to explain what they are doing at each stage. I think they have some indoor portions as well but they may be closed due to the pandemic. We visited on a Saturday, so I'm not sure if the bulidings are open during the week. I'm guessing this is a popular place for school field trips. We didn't see any public restrooms in the outdoor portion, so keep that in mind if the buildings are closed when you visit. read more

This is a nice and well maintained park. Short trails, fish hatchery, and path leading to Oregon. Parking is free and public restrooms in the hatchery area. There are signs pointing to see certain areas like trails, history reading, and nature. This is where you can cycle to I-205 to PDX or around that area. read more
