Before my surgery, I was quoted a price weeks in advance and paid it in full. Unfortunately, I wasn't a candidate for LASIK, which was disappointing, but Dr. Schmidt was able to perform the procedure manually instead. Since the LASIK portion wasn't done, I was told the procedure should have cost about $2,000 less. At my follow-up appointment, I didn't see Dr. Schmidt. Instead, I saw another doctor after waiting nearly 40 minutes for an exam that lasted less than five minutes. When I asked about the $2,000 difference, I was told that I actually owed an additional $900 because a deductible had been applied after my original quote. This was extremely frustrating. If I had been informed before surgery that my out-of-pocket cost would increase by $900, I could have planned and budgeted accordingly. Instead, I was given one price, paid it upfront, and then was surprised with an unexpected bill afterward. The medical care itself was great, but the lack of transparency and communication about billing left me very disappointed.

She was quite kind and informed me of what to expect from each procedure. After a 20 minute wait, Dr Do performed some tests and examination and explained some of the results to me. They said another test was needed. But it could not be completed today. I asked if it was because my eyes had been dilated. Dr. Do said no the person who does that test doesn't work on Tuesdays. I expressed my frustration that I was scheduled for a glaucoma exam and one of the people who performs a glaucoma test doesn't work on the day my appt was scheduled. Dr Do quite rudely responded with"What do you want me to do?" Not in an I'm here to help way but in the you are unreasonable and I am annoyed way. Even though it was more than reasonable for me to be frustrated that I would need to come back for a second appt due to this lack of patient consideration in scheduling. I said you could start by not being rude. At which point, Dr. Do very slowly laid one hand in his lap and placed the other on top, leaned forward and as condescendingly as possible said, "She's not here today." At this point, not wanting to be treated in this manner again, I asked if I could see another dr on my return. Dr. Do said yes, grabbed his clipboard, very curtly said go to the front desk and stormed out of the exam room. By the time I gathered my things and walked out into the hallway, Dr. Do was at the reception desk impatiently waving for me to hurry down the hall. Some of the information Dr. Do had provided was confusing to me and some of my questions went unasked because of his abrupt end to my appt. I did call to ask my questions but there was some guesswork involved in the answers I received because I was not talking to a doctor. Maybe I'm wrong, but I expect more respect, maturity and patient concern from a doctor who involved in my care. Maybe the other doctors in your office are more capable of understanding and caring for patients. However, at this point, I do not feel at all comfortable returning to an environment. where I've experienced such an extreme lack of professionalism and consideration.

Across three visits, Dr. Meyer was consistently unprofessional and intimidating. He refused to let me ask questions, demanding only 'yes' or 'no' answers, and became visibly irritated when I tried to explain my symptoms. During a punctal plug procedure, he applied drops directly into my eyes without warning. At my follow-up, he removed a plug without consulting me and grew annoyed when I asked for clearer explanations due to my language barrier. I felt pressured by his aggressive push for me to 'upgrade' to eye surgery, which came across as a focus on financial gain rather than my actual medical needs. He ended the appointment with a dismissive religious gesture that felt highly inappropriate in a medical setting. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and poorly cared for. I strongly advise against supporting this business.

He was efficient, kind and knowledgeable. I will find another facility to handle my eye care.

She went to Eye Associates Northwest for her annual exam for new contact lenses. Instead of billing it as a regular routine vision exam for prescription contact lenses, they billed her exam as a medical exam. This mistake ended up costing my daughter $550, since medical exams are not covered under our VSP insurance. My daughter had to pay this cost herself. We tried to get Eye Associates Northwest to correct their billing, but they refused to change anything and kept insisting their billing was correct. As someone who has been going for regular routine vision exams annually for 40+ years, I have never seen any of my annual eye exams billed as a medical exam. We contacted their billing department, but they offered no help, no clarity, and no resolution. Once I started reading their Yelp reviews, with average score in the low 2s, I realized our experience wasn't unique, as many other customers report questionable billing practices, surprise charges, and difficulty getting their money back. Based on our experience and what others have shared publicly, I would urge anyone considering this clinic to be extremely cautious. This visit was a complete breach of trust. I would give them ZERO stars if that's an option.

Two Weeks Post Op…read more Life-Changing Experience Despite My Fears! Let me start by saying I was extremely terrified about getting LASIK. I have an intense fear of anything near my eyes, and while I understood it was a laser and not a needle, the thought of something going wrong or even going blind (even though I know the risks are minimal) had me so anxious. I have lived with very poor vision my whole life (-8 in one eye and -7 in the other), and I knew that if I didn't act soon, I might not be a candidate for LASIK later. My heavy prescription glasses had been unchanged for years and limited my frame options, so I finally decided to face my fears and go for it. Even that morning, I was still scared out of my mind. I'm so glad I scheduled an early morning appointment because the staff was amazing from the moment I arrived. The doctor was an absolute superstar--he explained every step of the procedure as it was happening, which helped keep me calm and still. They even had someone stand by to offer me a squishy stress ball for my nervous hands! The whole team made me feel supported and reassured. The surgery itself was fast, and I followed all the aftercare instructions to the letter. I went home, took a nap, and diligently used my eye drops (antibiotics, lubricating drops, etc.) every 15 minutes, as directed. For the first four days, I minimized screen time and took it easy. Now, two weeks later, I couldn't be happier with my results. My vision is incredible, and my eyes feel great. I've had minimal dryness (using drops four times a day as recommended) and no infections. Wearing goggles to bed with an airplane neck pillow was a lifesaver for me as a side sleeper during the first week. I also invested in individual-use eye drop vials--they're super convenient, hygienic, and sting-free. A couple of tips: * I used a special heat face mask that didn't put pressure on my eyes but provided heat at night before bed, game-changer for comfort! * I avoided makeup entirely for the first 2 weeks and got a special, eye-safe brand recommended by my main optometrist for when I finally did wear makeup. If I had to nitpick, my biggest complaint was the discomfort from the protective contact lens they place after surgery. It felt like having an eyelash stuck in my eye until it was removed at my follow-up appointment only in the one eye, but the relief was instant once it was out! Also, showering during the first week was a bit tricky since you have to avoid getting water in your eyes. Overall, the experience was life-changing, and I am thrilled with the results. If you're scared, I promise the care and professionalism of this team will help put you at ease. I can't recommend them enough!
