Not happy with customer service. We were moving across country and they picked up our shipment. After 15 days we hadn't heard anything and it was only a couple days away from our delivery date. After calling to find out the situation, our shipment was still sitting in the warehouse. No calls to update us that there was going to be a delay, nothing. Probably wouldn't have been so dissatisfied if there would have been some communication. read more

We used Columbine to move us across the country from CO to OH. We evaluated 3 different moving companies in the valley and chose Columbine. They estimated our move accurately and the local movers did an outstanding job loading all of our belongings in a single day. Everyone we worked with at Columbine and the crew who drove our things across the country was kind and acted in a professional manner. I am nothing short of appalled at how Columbine and Allied treated me as a client. Firstly, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone to get answers to my questions--this was true from day 1. The only way I was able to make any headway was to go directly to the owner (who continued to pass the buck back down the food chain after a while). I placed my belongings in storage until I could secure a new place to live, and after I released my belongings to be delivered it took another 10 days for my things to be picked--and even then they sent a truck that wouldn't hold all of my things. It took WEEKS after the promised delivery window for me to finally have all of my things. When I asked what I would be compensated for the trouble of having to piece my life together due to their negligence and poor planning, I couldn't get a response! The Columbine rep once again passed the buck to corporate, saying any claims had to go through them, but corporate gave me the run around, too. Nobody has called to speak to me, despite MULTIPLE calls and emails requesting to speak to a manager or someone in charge. They obviously do not care one iota about trying to keep me as a client or correct their wrongs, or indeed, even apologize for them. The bottom line: I have never been treated worse by a company, and there's not enough money in the world to ever make me use Columbine or Allied ever again--and I'm making sure to tell everyone I know to do the same. read more

Nobody explained the coverage or even mentioned my options. They just had me check where they pointed to, and asked the value of furniture. The mover in charge told me this was his first time with his own crew. He obviously didn't know what he was doing and now I've been completely taken advantage of. Terrible way to run a business. We moved between states. Their bid was higher than a competitor's, but I thought we would get better service for the extra money. Instead, they just didn't deliver our stuff for several weeks after the last date that they said it might be possibly delivered. Yes, it was weeks late. They provided no compensation for this extremely irritating delay. They didn't even respond to my emails promptly. There was no communication -- the stuff just kept not showing up over and over again, even though when I'd contact them they kept providing new promised dates. read more

Columbine Moving moved a number of large pieces of furniture out of our house in the Cordillera Valley Club into storage on March 31 as part of the renovation of our house. They sent what could only be described as four goons to our house none of which had any idea as to house to pick up a piece of furniture. They completely demolished a major section of a $10,000 desk and lord knows what further damage they did an other items. The picked up a large granite top to a DR table with three straps, one of which was almost cut in half before I stopped them. Use this company at your peril. read more

Wanted to give them a 0- Owner was condescending and belligerent on the phone. Will not give any information about moving unless you set up an appointment with them. I gave him rooms, weight and point to point distance and he said "here's your price, $25000." If you are like me and have grown tired of the attitude some businesses have in Aspen - like they are doing you a favor - avoid this one. My mirrored Strand Armoire was delivered by Columbin Moving and Storage located at Aspen Airport Business center. The three mexican men who delivered it hid the damage and ask me to come into my livin room to pay. They wouldn't accept American Express. The delivery fee was $400. The armoire cost $2500 and I paid $450 to have it delivered to Columbine Storage . I was told that they carry insurance and felt safe using them. The three delivery men ran out the door jumped in the truck and as they were pulling out of my drive way I saw where the front door of the armoire was cracked. I called Columbine Moving and Storage that minute and the older man who is in charge of the shipping and storage told me to send pictures with my iphone which I did. This all occurred with in 10 minutes of the truck pulling away from my drive. I recieved this letter saying because I had signed without any damage notations on the delivery receipt, they would not cover the damage but based on the actual cost of the item was released at a maximum liability of $.60 per pound per article! This is the insurance that was offered!!!! Because they hid the damage and did not point it out they have taken the position that they are not responsible for replacement or repair!!!!! I would never use them again because they acted dishonstly and do not warrenty their work! Enclosed is the letter and check for $228.00 they sent for their estimate of insurance coverage. read more
