I had no other problems from my cataracts; no nighttime halos and rays when driving. Dr. Walker removed my cataracts, and my vision is now 20-20 and 20-25. HOWEVER, I now have significant problems driving at night. I have light rays coming down from traffic lights that extend into my car. I have light rays in my rear view mirror. There are starbursts from oncoming headlights. I see rays coming from my neighbors' porch lights, so I don't take evening walks. I can't drive at night without significant problems, and will not venture more than a mile from home. I'm completely disabled when it comes to nighttime driving. During the day, I sometimes have "fluttering." It's been 7 months since my surgery, and Dr. Walker has no idea why I'm having issues. She says I'm "seeing better than I ever have," referring to my prescription change, but completely disregarding the major problems I'm having. I would gladly wear contacts again if it meant I wouldn't be going through this ordeal.

It's not a walk in the park and the second time was more harsh than the second and yes there is aftercare -- lots of eye drops! The procedures were about a half hour each. The actual cutting was just a minute or two. It's far more strange than painful. Then it's over. It's only a day or so before you're able to do things again which really isn't bad considering the benefits. However, it's been 3 years now and it still is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Dr. Wasserman is INCREDIBLY kind, steady, patient, and knowledgeable. His staff is quick to remedy any issues that come up. I've been going back for eye checkups there ever since. Office is clean. Wait times are reasonable. Location is perfect. About a month later, my son had an unrelated accident that seriously injured his eye. just had my second cataract surgery at Tri County surgery in Southampton. my first eye surgery went…read morevery well, this was even better. first was a pleasant surprise as I got a call "asking me " if I would like to come in early, as they were running ahead of time. when I arrived I was prepped for surgery within 20 minutes. I was greeted with a friendly smile and " Hello" from every member of the staff.Then my team of prep nurses, Jen R and Jen M had me quickly and perfectly ready , I never even felt the IV being inserted. My nurse from the first eye surgery, Katlyn, came by and said hi, how are you. I did a virtual consultation first with a very friendly staff member who answered all my questions. Then I did an in-person consultation and everyone who I met with there was extremely friendly, positive and helpful. I felt genuinely excited about correcting my -7 vision and the staff seemed excited for me too. The day of surgery I was a little nervous but mostly just looking forward to having good vision. The surgery was probably about 5 minutes altogether and it really was no big deal. I think people get worked up because the surgery is gruesome to watch on video but if you focus on your actual experience, which is painless, and just breathe, it's easy. I felt nothing leaving the office because the numbing drops hadn't worn off. By the time we got home, my eyes were starting to burn and tear and all I wanted to do was lay down and go to sleep. Because they were burning I couldn't fall asleep for about an hour but that feeling started to subside and I fell asleep for about 4 hours. When I woke up I felt much better and was seeing almost perfectly. My vision was a little hazy but clear. The day after one of them feels a little irritated like I have a dirty contact on but the haziness is already improving. The follow-up appointment went great and the doctor said my eyes look exactly as they should. Thank you for an excellent, life-changing experience!
