In my head, the end of the world was actively happening, & I had already accepted my fate over my own misunderstanding when I didn't have the other propane tank filled. Dustin stayed calm, professional, & completely unbothered. Almost like he's familiar to this... um hey buddy, you ok Dustin? Propane is showing up the very next morning. Gas filled. Apocalypse cancelled. Mental health restored... pending. The only issue now is I'm not sure whether to call my actual therapist or Dustin at the propane company during my next panic attack. Choose them if you need to be gassed up & someone who won't acknowledge how unwell you sound (at least not out loud or to your face). They are competent under pressure. Even when the pressure is you. Highly recommend for propane shortages, emotional outages, & any panic attack that pairs well with hypothermia.

Great Flying J Travel Center when driving to and from Houston!…read more This location is about an hour out of downtown Houston and has amazing gas prices. If you travel a lot I highly recommend joining their Flying J point program and downloading their app because you always get all sorts of freebies. Anyhow! This specific location has a Dennis inside the store, as well as a Dunkin' Express for those coffee fanatics out there. They also have a FedEx drop-off box location on the right hand side of the building. When visiting keep in mind that they do have two separate entrances for car and truck. Well... this is a tiny one so the restrooms, while much cleaner than your typical small town gas station... was not what I'd call Buc-ee's clean... gnatty. When we were about to leave my kiddo had refilled a water bottle up with water at the soda fountain. As she walked out they stopped her and said it was considered a cold drink refill and it they charged her $2.49. A small soda is .99 and a large is $1.49.... Using their cup. A refill of water in her own cup was $2.49. I pointed that out but it fell on deaf ears. I mean... I'd think it was ludicrous... but I wouldn't complain playing .99 for a refill... but to pay more than any actual fountain drink would cost? And for WATER? I put the $20+ worth of things I was going to buy back and decided this isn't a store I'll ever set foot in again. I suggest avoiding this store entirely and finding another stop.

This is a stop in the middle of patch of Texas that is frequented by travelers and 18 wheelers…read more There is plenty of parking, gas fuel stations and fast food options. 5 stars for variety of in store purchase: souvenirs, toys of tots, caffeine-action, sugary treats and salty crunchy options but also fresh fruit packed for snacking. 5 stars for no apparent price gouging. And super practical electronic replacement bar to get your informed whether it's a gps system or headset system to keep you working on the road. 3 stars for the women's bathroom as far as cleaning and lack of bathroom supplies recommended for customer. Masks required, social distancing enforced, and staff is pleasant keeping busy. Just down the road in Wharton is a new Bucky's. But if you need a new GPS and head gear, this might be your stop. Also if you are riding along in an 18 wheeler, this hub might be more helpful and tailored for your essentials. Again, worth a stop or shop. But if you want super sanitation, automation and Knick knack impulse buys in no doubt the cleanest bathrooms in Texas, keep driving for Bucky's. Best to you!
