The long storied Minor League baseball team in Columbus, once farming for the New York Yankees, and now a farm team for the Cleveland Guardians (you know, the team that used to be the Indians). Featured events throughout the season include dime-a-dog nights (picture people eating 10 cent hotdogs!), several typical daytime "Businessman Special" games, and various other special events. The park has been known to have fireworks. One of my absolute favorite features of this ballpark, is along the second baseline. That part of the field has "windows" in the brick wall at the street level, whereby individuals who want to see the game, but for whatever reason don't have a ticket can watch the whole thing unfold from the sidewalk. For individuals who can't acquire tickets for themselves or their children this is a wonderful feature, whereby they can still enjoy a professional baseball game. Hats off to the Clippers organization for incorporating this thoughtful design into their facility. Ample parking is close by. And usually this parking fairly reasonably priced. Be aware that the hockey arena and the soccer stadium are both close by, as well as other entertainment venues. In the height of summer, this can sometimes make for a very busy entertainment district. So be sure and check the schedule of what's going on at the other venues, You may need some extra time to arrive and navigate your way to the ballpark. We finally had the opportunity to visit the Columbus Clipper's new ballpark in late 2023. Well, it's new for us since the last time we went to a game was when the Clippers played at Cooper Stadium in 2008. First, parking was simple and right next to the ballpark. We chose to sit in the outfield for $8 something, and to our surprise, the team store was right behind us. We visited it a couple of times for gifts for ourselves and friends. They had plenty of hats. Trust me, regarding inventory; I believe no team comes close to them on hats and different designs. The food and beverages were average-priced. We will return sooner since it was an impressive stadium. read more

We enjoyed watching the Columbus Clippers play downtown at Huntington Park. We were able to get great seats above the Clippers dugout so we were front and center for a lot of the fun touches they offered throughout the game, from starting the wave to cheering for t-shirts and the like. We were also close enough to the field to see how nice the players were to the folks who had lined up for autographs before play started. While it was ultimately a loss for the Clippers, it was great to see several homeruns hit out of the park by our team, keeping it exciting. We look forward to catching another game sometime. read more

I'm a big fan of baseball (thanks to my dad) and to have a minor league team a hop, skip, and a jump away from home is awesome. I moved to Columbus from Chicago where there was not one, but two MLB teams, so having the Clippers in Columbus makes me a happy girl. They do a good job at filling my need to watch 9 innings of ball on a spring or summer evening. Heck, I've even had friends play for the Clippers, and some of my favorite Tribe players started out with them too. While they might not always win, they do stay consistent in showing the crowd a good time. The kiddos absolutely love how often they toss balls into the stands. It's adorable to watch really. I'll save the details on the stadium for my review of Huntington Park, but in short, it's a nice ballpark and it's affordable. Friends and I are even looking at getting season tickets next year. Definitely come to a game if you're into sportsball and relaxing ways to enjoy your summer. read more

Great for friends and family! Make a day or a night of it. Have been lucky enough to attend two games over the past ten days and have to say this is one of my new favorite activities. From ticket prices ($5 to $21) you honestly can't beat the fun. There is plenty of close and affordable ($5-$10) parking all around the stadium. Park is full of families, friends, and baseball fans. Besides ticket prices, food is reasonable from $4 hot dogs to $10 (32oz) beer. There are beer, food and dessert stands/carts everywhere. There is pizza, sodas, ice cream, gifts, souvenirs everywhere. Most importantly the games are a blast. Clippers AAA league has the pitch clock (keeps game moving at a good pace) and there are fun activities between innings. The games this week were exciting with Home Runs, close games and the Yankees and Reds farm teams were visiting. After experiencing this these last two games - I would definitely visit her compared to driving to Cincy or Cleveland - and I am a Bball fan. Make it a family night or weekend day event - or couples or friends. It is a must - even if you are not a baseball fan. read more

I HATE that I have to write this review. I LOVE attending Clippers games and do so with my family often. Tonight, however, the actions of Karl, an employee in the lawn section, were inexcusable. We attended this evening's game with nine 7 year olds for my sons birthday. It was a big deal and they were all completely ecstatic. We had standing room only tickets and made the most of it until the top of the 7th when a huge portion of the lawn occupants left due to the rain. We laid out a blanket at the bottom of the lawn and they cheered their hearts out. They were told by Karl that they had to sit down (even though no one was behind them) which they did immediately. Half an inning later there was a young woman sitting next to us that was utterly intoxicated and throwing up in a plastic bag while bawling her eyes out. This proceeded for an entire inning. Karl walked up to her and asked her friends if she was okay (she wasn't) and returned to his perch. Not even a minute later he started yelling at our group of 7 year olds for throwing a peanut shell (that someone else discarded in the grass). Since it went through the mesh netting he claimed it was grounds for eviction. He belittled our children for a honest mistake and made us exit the area immediately, causing almost all of the kids to burst into tears. Meanwhile, the young woman continued to sit next to us throwing up, but not a word was said to her and she was allowed to sit in the lawn amongst other young attendees. I will never back down from talking to my children about what is right and what is wrong, and had I been aware of what they had done I would've said something immediately. But for Karl to chastise first graders for something completely innocent, and ruin an otherwise wonderful and beautiful birthday party, is unacceptable. The only saving grace was that the other gentleman working in the area recognized the inappropriateness of Karl's actions and graciously gave my son a game ball. This mark of kindness will never be lost on me. I wish I knew the name of this former minister, turned Clipper employee because he deserves so much praise and recognition. Karl, on the other hand, single-handedly marred an otherwise wonderful and memorable night. Sadly, we lost a bit of love for Huntington Park this evening. read more

Very affordable price points which make it more affordable than most for families. Wonderful and wide selection of food options for every taste. I've never had a minor league ballpark close to home, now I do. Parking is very convenient and really cheap, ranging from $3-$5 per event. I honestly don't think there's a bad seat in the place, the field is beautiful, facilities clean and great for family. Good isn't overly expensive, makes st combos under $10. Beer isn't really cheap but it's cold and good at $7-&10 a drink. They treat fans and visitors alike very well. There's also plenty of discount nights through the season. read more

The Clippers MLB site directs users to a ticketmaster website to buy tickets. The price for senior tickets for Sunday 5/4/24 was higher than the real price. When I realized that, I didn't buy the tickets I was about to buy. I called them and they said the system was holding those tickets but should release them in about half an hour, so I could buy them by phone then for a $2 fee. I called back later in the evening and again the next morning, and the system still hadn't released the tickets. A member of the Clippers staff had to release them. I didn't see a cart to empty like most websites have, and the Clippers rep couldn't tell me how to find it. It took 3 phone calls to buy the tickets at the advertised price, which was inconvenient and time-consuming. If the online price isn't what it's supposed to be, you might have to call the Clippers to get the advertised price. Not very good customer service. read more

He was 5 years at the time and like every little boy they have on their favorite baseball cap "Yankees" and his baseball mitt hoping to catch a fly ball... The ball park is awesome I mean when George Steinbrenner built it you knew it would have all the Bell & Whistles!!! For my son this place is like Disneyland kids everywhere with their parent's people buying Hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, soda, peanuts, crackerjacks... There are sales booths, pitching booths so much stuff for the family to do that the Game you come to watch seems an added plus!! Pricing on food and drinks phenomenal I mean where else can you get a hot dog and beer for $3 bucks??? Not many places make coming to a ball park that cheap!!! I'm going to age myself here, but I was a member of Bucky's Bunch in my youth and spent many an afternoon at the Coop praying that I wouldn't get hit by a foul ball. Parking is absolutely ridiculous: I drove in circles for over an hour. The "attendants" with the yellow vests on just kept routing lines of cars to turn corners. We'd turn the corner and sit, until crawling along several blocks and being directed to turn another corner and sit, until eventually coming back to the same "attendant" and being routed into the exact same path. I saw one parking sign, about .75 miles from the stadium. It did not indicate whether this lot was full. I drove around the lot for 10 minutes and had to come to that deduction on my own. I saw no other parking signs, anywhere. I saw no signs indicating where parking might be. There were only vested people instructing cars to drive in circles. I saw two sheriffs stationed on the corner by the stadium. I yelled out my window and gestured to them wildly, trying to get them to answer my question of "where do I park?" They completely ignored me. One block west of Neil, there were two more sheriffs directing traffic to turn left. I said to them "is there parking down here? Am I going to be able to park down this street?" They completely ignored me as if I'd spoken no words at all. To top it all off, when I was rerouted past the side of the stadium for the third time, 55 minutes after the game had started, I saw that the seats were less than 1/3 full. This means they were not at capacity, they barely had any people in there at all, yet there was no parking available? This confuses me. I have some questions I'd like Clippers to answer publicly: 1. Where are people supposed to park before a game? Are you thinking about putting some signs out? Do you have people stationed outside who might be able to give that information verbally? 2. How many handicapped spots do you have? Do you believe this is in the correct ratio to your seating capacity, considering the population of our city? If you are wondering how this story turns out, after an hour of crawling along looking for unmarked parking lots, I gave up and went home. I will not be returning. Thanks a lot, Clippers, for a wasted ticket, a wasted afternoon, a waste of gasoline, and a waste of energy. read more

I love going out for a baseball game! ..the masses of people, the promo's, the fan rivalry, the food, the promo's!!, the day/evening out with friends & family, and I really just like being out on beautiful days. Did I mention the promo's!? They have 'dime a dog' & 'Buck a bone' night! let's write this in caps for the skimmers: DIME A DOG NIGHT!!! & BUCK A BONE NIGHT!!! That's a mere $.10 for a Sugardale hotdog and as much ketchup & relish (or mustard if you're one of those people =P ) as you'd like! I can't think of anything, frankly, that I can buy for $.10.... not even when I was a kid! Penny Candy? It's not really a Penny anymore and it was $.25 when I was a kid. SO...HOTDOGS!!! And who doesn't freggin' love hot dogs?! (Let's leave the vegetarians out of this secret then, shall we?) Let's not forget 'Buck A Bone' night! City BBQ has a tent here on those nights and it's $1 for each rib... each bone is a buck... it's that simple really. I've tried these, but to be fair I was late getting there that night and the game was about to start (in 20 mins) and they were gone apart from 2 bones. We bought them ...and ate what we could from the measly bones. It wasn't something I would probably buy again.. too dry, no sauce, no meat, ... And of course COLUMBUS ZOO NIGHT which Jack Hannah calls on his best people friends to bring some fury fans over to watch baseball. Seriously though... small animals are brought from the zoo to stand out in the hallway and be harassed by all your children. Please, just 2 fingers will do! They tend to bring the animals that love getting attention and the ones that wont.....bite..... Of course if you use 3 fingers I can't guarantee your safety. That tiny mini barn owl looked quite the monster. Perhaps only 1 finger for that guy. No where will you find a bad seat. I mean that. We've had seats all over, heck I've even been that person who stands outside the stadium looking in from the window at the end of the first base line. People set up chairs out there... no lie. There's a bar section too, no seats of course (unless you're VIP at the umbrella section). I havent seen these for sale ever so who knows. There's standing room if you're only interested in getting in and drinking while watching the game. Other wise there's always seats passed 1st base and 3rd. Best seats, in my opinion anyway, are right on top of the dugouts! Only topped by seats right next to the dugout so I can watch them in there. I use to play so I like hearing everything they talk about, makes me feel more connected to the game. Seriously though $1 buys you 10 hotdogs (ONLY on dime a dog night!) Just be prepared to wait in a seriously long line. read more

Out of the three stadiums I have been to- This one, Cleveland, Pheonix - I have to say this has a favorable set up. Probably because it is smaller, which I like. Dime a Dog night brings the lines. Columbus Clippers ring your bell ding ding ding. This song was the driving force behind the collection of bronze-esque cowbells I have amassed over the years. Its a catchy little jingle for an underrated baseball team. And it has nothing to do with ships. I love me some Clipper games. Dime a dog night, free bat day, San Diego chicken time, its great. Possibly the only place you can eat a sundae served in a mini batting helmet, a Clippers game is a night well spent. I don't ever remember a winning season, but I also never remember caring either. Going to " the Coop " to watch the games was always a big deal. I am sad to see Cooper Stadium go but I am excited that the Clippers will get a new stadium. Hopefully it will bring some hype to a team that is not only dwarfed by anything Buckeye but any other sports team as well. The Clippers is the only way Columbus-ites can view something close to a professional baseball team without leaving the city. We should embrace this team and give them just a little place in our hearts that is shaped like a Buckeye.
