The woman at the counter was very helpful in directing me to the things that I needed and even recommended a cheaper brand of glue that would have been fine for my project. Like most hardware stores, this place is packed. The guy behind the counter is always super helpful in pointing me to what I need and offering suggestions when I have multiple options of what look like the same thing. He's always been attentive, and I don't mean in that "creepy shopkeeper everyone is a thief" way, no matter how busy the store is. Glad this is a neighborhood store for me. read more

I'm an electrical foreman. I was installing a 1200 amp switch and needed to make 6 holes 4inch wide. My holesaw (a lenox), that I had for months, still had 2 holes left in it. On the third hole, it cut halfway through and wasn't able to cut anymore, so I had to go to Columbus distributors and buy supposedly the same holesaw. And pay $54.43. I get back thinking I will finish the job and continue to cut the third hole with the new holesaw. After thirty seconds it became completely dull and didn't finish even half that was left to cut. I realized this was a cheap knockoff so I went back there with the holesaw, packaging, and receipt. I spoke to the actual boss, explained and showed exactly what the problem was. Instead of saying I apologize and offer me a refund or a real holesaw, he told me no it is real because it came in packaging and I'm not giving you any money or holesaw. I would never support a business owner that would so blatantly lie and disregard his customers. Garbage.​ read more

He made key copies of medco (heavier) that didn't work and he wasn't surprised when I came back to return them, as if he knew he sold me something that might not work. What kind of business does that. I give star for giving me a refund and making other simple apt key copies that worked. Otherwise, unfriendly and had me pay, walk all the way home to discover they didn't work, then walk all the way back to return, with no apology but actually giving me attitude for making the return. Needed a plunger and got a plunger. Plenty of combinations of plunger heads + rods to pick from, LOL. Dude at the counter figured my little arms couldn't screw on the rubber plunger head to the wooden rod, he did it for me. Probably could not have done it on my own. They have a $10 minimum on CC purchases--my purchase was ~$9.?? and the dude took my card anyway. Convenient hardware store in this hood and that is that. read more

Poor Return Policy We bought a lock cylinder from these guys for our apartment which didn't fit. Two days later we tried to return it with original packing and receipt but they refused. What kind of hardware store does that? Buy At your own risk! I won't be returning. read more

I would not give them a star at all if I could away with it. I asked to use the bathroom before purchasing paint for a paint project and was met with a flat rude NO not for you from the mumbling guy behind the counter. I informed them what I would be taking my money elsewhere and instead spent $267 at Mushtari their competitor up the street on 125th. Will not shop here again. read more
