I mentioned some of my issues to Nancy and she had me lay down and inserted the acupuncture needles in different parts of my body. She told to lay still and she'll be back in half an hour. She said it'd be best if I could go to sleep. I tried closing my eyes and relaxing. Idk if it was the new environment, but I was a little anxious and just kept looking at my watch. That's on me. It was closer to an hour when she returned. At that point I was just anxious to get the needles out and leave. In hindsight: the first half an hour was pretty relaxing. the warmth from light was nice and I even told her it feels similar to a hot stone massage. Nancy suggested I come back for treatment once a week. I'm planning to do a couple more visits since I've read such good things about Nancy. P.S the needles don't hurt. The initial prick might sting just a little but after that it's all good.

I am not a fan of taking over the counter meds or any type of meds for pain & etc. I have always preferred the holistic route but I had never had acupuncture or cupping done but have heard of its healing benefits and figured i'd give it a try since yoga & the chiropractor were not solving all of my problems. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed and the energy was very positive in there. It was also very clean everywhere in there. Both women (lady behind the desk & acupuncturist) were also very very sweet. As soon as I got taken to the room where I was going to be treated, doctor listened to my concerns and needs and was doing any and everything to make me feel comfortable and accommodated. She even went the extra mile to bring me extra pillows & play relaxing music so that I would feel more comfortable and peaceful. She was very gentle with me & always made sure that I felt comfortable throughout my procedure. I left out of there feeling so relaxed and the tension in my body eased. I have not had any back pain and scheduled an appointment to go right back the next week (this week.) I am so excited for my appointment and sad that I am moving out of Ohio because I will definitely miss this office! If you have been seeking healing for any of your concerns, whether they be mental or physical, I definitely recommend trying acupuncture. I was in a car accident in 1997 in which I suffered severe brain trauma. Recovery took years and…read morewas no where near complete, despite recovering much better than predicted. immediately after the accident I began having extremely severe migraine headaches, as is common with this injury. From the beginning of 1998 until 2019 I suffered from a headache every day. Most days were barrable, but many were bad enough that I didn't get out of bed. My Primary Care Practitioner prescribed various medicines to help. Not all of them worked, and the ones that worked at first always became less effective over time as I was taking them so frequently, I would develop a tolerance after a while. By 2019 there were no more medications left for me to try. And, at that point my PCP recommended acupuncture. That's when I met Dr. Wang. The first treatment with him was LIFE-CHANGING!!! The effect was immediate. I could feel the pain began to fade, as he removed the needles and it continued to fade for 2 more days. For the first time in 22 years I felt and entire day with no headache and, incredibly, no pills involved. The effects from the first treatment only lasted for a few days, and Dr. Wang said that would happen, that it would take some time and multiple treatments for the effects of the treatment to take full effect. For the first few weeks he treated me twice a week, then once a week, then every other week, now he treats me once every 4 weeks. Since he has been treating me, I have been able to discover multiple things in my life that were triggering headaches. With the headaches under control most of the time it has been possible to isolate, foods, drinks, activities, and environmental factors contributing to them. In the seven years since he started treating me, I have been able to continually isolate contributing factors, that, coupled with his treatments has reduced my headache days tenfold and my debilitating headache days completely. I haven't stayed in bed all day with a headache in at least 5 years. I can't put a price on the value his treatments have been for me. If you have a condition that is known to be treatable with acupuncture I highly recommend you schedule an appointment with Dr. Wang. You will not be disappointed.

My expectations are always quite high (sometimes too much so). Happy to say acupuncture treatment brought immediate relief and was exactly what I needed. I went home in much better shape and pain was essentially gone. During my new patient visit, Dr. Chen reviewed my health background and listened carefully seeking further details. She did not just want to start. I had some concerns of any risks for sure but my general practitioner and Dr. Chen reassured me no further nerve damage could occur with acupuncture. I felt she cared, asked many questions had a positive, "maternal", happy spirit about her. The office has a kind and uplifting atmosphere. I found the second treatment I barely needed. Her assistant Crystal performed the acupuncture. Yes, I normally I would be concerned, but she also was attentive and effective. I requested treatment for my plantar fasciitis to try and address that which was done. I go next week for final treatment even though my jaw pain was gone on the first. I can recommend based on my experience so far. I am not sure I would do the electrical stimulation and would have many questions. Acupuncture by Chen was a trustworthy and positive experience for me providing what I needed, when I needed it. They assist you with insurance and I am pleased. Well worth it. Their warmth and professionalism made all the difference.
