Waited over 50 minutes for my scheduled appointment. Very poor service and disorganized. Doctor took a phone call during my appointment!

They will tell you insurance covers everything, when actually they don't. They just want you to sign up for more services

This place is very unprofessional. When my wife left an appointment in tears is the last straw. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I did a combined overnight (polysomnogram) and daytime (multiple sleep latency or MSLT) test. I…read morehad to report around 8:30pm; the center is on the south side of Old Stringtown Road and the sign is kind of subtle; the map is pretty good though, and I get lost easily. The techs let me bring in whatever I wanted, and just like it said in the guidelines they had a fridge for me to put cold stuff in. They hooked me up pretty fast - maybe 20, 25 minutes - and let me read in bed with a lamp nearby till I was ready to fall asleep. It was only a little noisy, but when I go back for my titration appointment I'll wear my earplugs. Here's my advice: - Bring your own everything, including towels. Yes, I know they said they have shampoo and stuff. Just bring your own. - Also bring pillows and blankets as though you knew for sure there wouldn't be any. Special hugs to IKEA's relatively expensive pillows, BTW. - Bring a robe. During the day you are sharing the hallways with the staff, the day patients there for appointments, etc. - Wear a sleep mask, if they'll let you, for the MSLT. The window coverings are only about 99% effective. - If you don't like Bob Evans food and water, bring your own food and water. If you do like Bob Evans food but suspect that it won't be enough, bring your own. (If I do this again I will be bringing caffeine free beverages like root beer.) Really just bring your own, you'll be happier. - Have your own water bottle; it's a hike to the water cooler. - Also have flip-flops or shower shoes; it's a (much shorter) hike to the bathroom. - Use the bathroom that isn't closest to the reception area. I know it has a shower in it; that's still the one they direct all the daytime visitors to. - They ask questions no one can realistically expect you to know the answer to ("Did you sleep?" "Did you dream?" "How many minutes would you say you were awake?") Guessing is apparently fine. - Don't be a hero, just take the sleep aid you were given. When they wake you up at 3:30am because your pulse oximeter fell off your finger, it is probably going to be a bit harder to fall asleep than it would have been at home, and the day is going to be very very long. - Bring chapstick. The reason you want the chapstick is because they stick a thing in your nose and mouth that keeps them open all night long. (I will be putting the chapstick by the bed, along with the earplugs and the sleep aid bottle, for my titration appointment.) - If you didn't get woken up to switch to the CPAP halfway through the night, they don't tell you squat about how you're doing. Don't bother asking. - Eat sensibly the day before. The popcorn and lemonade in lieu of dinner on Sunday? Bad decision. - Practice sleeping on your back. They're going to really insist on that (in the end they let me switch, but only because I did a good three hours on my back first.) I also recommend searching MetaFilter for "sleep study." I asked a question about it before I went in, and got a lot of helpful answers.

They offer 1 appointment time a week on Wednesday from 10am to 11am and call and harangue you for…read morethe $35 payment before they provide you with your in home sleep study. The equipment I was given wasn't working properly when the technician demonstrated how to use it. She played around with the connections, changed batteries and then sent me home with it. It was clear from the looks of the equipment it had had a hard life. I followed the instructions explicitly and had to reset 5x with no improvement. I slept with it attached hoping I was wrong and took the equipment back the next morning. I told the technician who gave me the equipment about the issues and she ignored me as she entered their office. I told the front desk attendant the same thing and she said "we'll see if there's any data to download and then call you". Of course there wasn't - it didn't work. They called two days later to ask me to come back during their one and only time to pick up equipment- Wednesday at 10am - and start all over. I told them I'm going to a different sleep specialist and to refund me the $35. She hung up. Inconvenient, Insulting, Improper.
