Mr. coppens is a very nice man…read more I picked Coppens because of the good reviews, only one negative review and he was willing to come to the house for a very reasonable fee. That cinched my decision! As soon as he arrived and tried to pry open the back of my computer, I suggested he take the screws out first. That should have been my first clue. But again, those great reviews.... He took out the power box and we ordered together, a new one. He took my computer home to finish the 'repair' when the new boxe arrived. When he received the new power box, he told me it worked for 5 seconds then the computer again turned off. My original problem was my computer just shut down. So he said it might be the motherboard which he doesn't do repairs on, AND he said 'to tell you the truth, I don't think it'd be worth it to put money into it to fix it." NOTE: My computer is a great computer, above the average home computer. It's 5 years old. I asked him to bring me back my computer with the 2 power boxes, the original one and the new one. He brought it back to me a few days later, no power box installed and only one of the screws to hold the back of the computer was there. :( Long story short, ha, I told him I would be getting a 2nd opinion. The next day I took it to another person and he fixed it within a couple of hours. He said, the place you plug in the power box, the pins were bent and the casing cracked with a small piece broken off. He was able to straighten the pins and get the new power box in and the computer works great! I can assure you, the pins were not bent when Mr. Coppens took my computer.

The imac started coming apart at the sides, edges and the internal mike appears to be left mal aligned. I do not need to use the internal mic until very recently and it registers sound if tapped on but it does not transmit. Unfortunately for me, it has been over 6 mo so the repair warranty is expired. Still, there is no reason it should be coming apart or for the mic not to work. I never did request anything for free. If anything, the adhesive tape used or whatever the resdon is the computer is coning apart, it dhould not. I thought maybe Mike would come and replace it and charge a fair to nominal fee since the workmanship proved to be less than desirable. It should have held up for many years. Anyone out there that can say. "Good workmanship should only last a year or two and I would be happy if after opening it up and putting it back together my computer started coning unglued? As I said he did an ok job on the hardrive but it should not be coming unglued.

First with a ticking, then the fan started as well and ultimately led to the unit overheating. It was the water pump that needed to be changed and a fan. I was quoted from $480-$892 for parts and labor. I was floored when Bill quoted me significantly less than the $400! He ordered the parts today and drove out to Tustin and repaired the unit same day.
