I called to get information about fixing my bosses computer. The rep that answered the phone cut me off mid sentence and said "just bring it in, we can fix anything MAC related." I know IT guys have no personality, but there was no reason for him to act like a pompous douchebag. If you don't want to talk to people DONT ANWSER the phone. I strongly suggest no one comes here to repair or service their computers. My boss called him the night before and gave him the same treatment. My boss asked the name of the company (he called many repair companies) and his response was "hey, you called me, why are you asking the me the name of the company?" So, don't bother calling this repair shop. Called to get a quote, got accused of wasting time when explaining my issue, then the guy made some off color, politically charged comment and attempted to belittle me on the phone. WTF?! By the looks at other reviews, looks like I'm not the only one with this experience. Suffice to say, I'll stick to more main stream shops as it appears you get what you pay for. Although I ended up not using CRT for needed services, I wanted to warn future customers that this company's advertising on yelp is misleading. They claim to charge $50/hr. for computer repair. What they don't tell you is that the "owner," whoever he is, currently isn't available. So, he has someone else standing in for him. This someone else has a regular full-time job, so he cannot help during the day, ex. for weekends. Then, he has to come to your house and do the repairs, for which he charges a travel fee and $$/mile as well. The $50/hr. turned into a $140/hr. job which the yelp advertising doesn't talk about. You're better off going to a place where the owner really does work at the facility and you don't have to pay needless travel fees. read more

I was having a problem with my older PC booting up, and it was getting stuck and never comping up. Alex from Computer repair of Temecula got my PC and installed a new SDD hard drive, cloned my old hard drive over, and returned the machine. When I got it home, it was still having boot issues and I texted Alex. He came over to my house at 6 pm and spent an hour working on it, and we discovered that an old external hard drive was causing it boot up issues, and now it works great. After I asked if I could get a general price range he replied with "I don't know I haven't seen the computer yet." I accidentally deleted the memory on my Mac's internal hard drive and contacted this company because of the reviews on Yelp. Friday - I called left a message and the owner Jim returned my call within 10 minutes. Tuesday - I left my computer with them. Jim works in PC computers and David works on Macs. Wednesday - maybe they returned from vacation Friday - David finished repairing it. I work in San Diego and wasn't able to pick up the computer on Friday. The repair shop is not normally open on weekends but David went above and beyond to get my the computer back to me. We agreed to meet at his shop at 9AM on Saturday. As I was leaving, a lady who needed something printed for a funeral asked if he could help. Instead of turning her away because they were closed he helped her out. Customer service was exceptional and I would recommend using them. I don't know what the going rate is but for repairs such as mine but I feel like I got the best attention and now my computer works great! I had him installed a new silicon power 1TB 3D NAND A55 SATA III Solid state drive with adaptor (parts were around $200) and labor for 2 hours was around $170. I know the Mac store charges like $300 for AppleCare but my computer was purchased in 2011 so I don't qualify for AppleCare and the repairs would have cost more if Apple fixed it. I checked on amazon to see how much the parts went for and I think their pricing was justified/reasonable. I felt like I got a deal! I will definitely be returning should I need any other computer repairs. I was having issues with my laptop where it stopped charging irregularly and at first I didn't pay too much attention to it. It then became so an annoying that I had to get it checked out; it would suddenly shut down while I was in the middle of watching a movie or doing homework. I first took it to Best buy and they couldn't figure out exactly what the problem was. Alex helped my son resurrect his custom-built PC back from the dead. He helped him diagnose the problem and guided him on what to do to fix it, and actually make it better than it was before. As claimed, diagnosis was free, yet the advice he gave was 100% correct on how to solve the problem (fried motherboard and CPU due to overheating caused by our having initially installed the CPU fan incorrectly). He offered to come out or for us to drive to his place. Once there he explained the cost up front. My son's computer was really slow and not functioning properly.
