We have been brought the breakfast burritos several times. They are huge and good. Just egg and bacon or egg and chorizo. Don't get rice or beans. We decided to try for dinner but didn't like. Had chicken burritos, which you normally can't go wrong. They tasted funny and dripping with grease. Just meat and cheese, but no onion peppers or anything but grease! Street corn ok. Prices are good, place is nice. We will stick with breakfast. read more

This is the second little Mexican restaurant to pop up recently in Midwest City. I was really hoping that it would be another option to the limited restaurant choices we have on this side of town. I had a burrito with shredded pork. It can with rice , beans, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream on the burrito. Nothing about this burrito stood out and said you've got to come back and get another one. The pork was dry and without seasoning, the rice and beans were bland. I do have to say that the atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing. I paid $9.25 for a large burrito and a drink. A bit pricey for what I consider a fast food burrito. Overall grade "C". Food was average, a little bland and pricey. I think I'll give them some time to settle in and give them another try down the road. You should too. read more

Listen! If you haven't tried this place you are missing out! The tamales are outstanding! The food is so fresh and delicious and the staff is very kind and courteous. I've had the chicken and pork tamales and I think I dreamed about them for a week lol! Do yourself a favor and visit the Comalli Mexican kitchen, you will not be disappointed. read more

I finally made it to Comalli Mexican Kitchen today! (they opened last week) They are doing dine in or pickup for now, drive-thru will open later. It's more like fast food than a restaurant, but don't let that deter you! Be forewarned that it's a little more "authentic" than some local Mexican eateries if you're "that" person. The meats have spices but are not spicy, but the red & green sauces may be too hot for some folks. The avocado sauce is mild, though, but I didn't try the Arbol sauce. You order at a counter then they call your number when your food is ready. Everything is already cooked, so service was speedy. I knew I would like Tacos, Flautas, Quesadilla or Burrito so decided to try other things. I'm not a huge Tamale fan but they do have many versions of those - 6 savory & 4 sweet. I don't like Tortas much either (too much bread) so decided on a Gordita and a Plata with 2 entrees & 2 sides (so I could try several things). My husband got a beef steak Burrito w/rice & beans and he liked all of it (he requested rice & beans instead of chips). I didn't enjoy the Gordita as much as I expected - too "corny," lol (too much masa for me), but the Pork in Adobo inside was very tasty. On my plata, I chose Barbacoa and Poblano & Cream for my entrees - the meat was tender & juicy but, to me, Barbacoa always just tastes like pot roast! The Poblano & Cream was a hit, tho. My 2 sides were corn (which is a bit spicy!) and yummy grilled veggies. The plata also comes with 4 small warm tortillas, flour or corn. I would absolutely order the plata again, but probably with Pork in Adobo or Fajita Chicken and Poblano & Cream as my entrees. I enjoyed all of the sauces I tried, but I like spicy. You also choose your "toppings" (on tacos, burritos, gorditas, etc) and I got pretty much all of them - lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, etc, but be advised if you don't choose "pickled" jalapenos and ask for "fresh" you get the whole roasted kind, which is even better to me (albeit hotter)! You can also get 1 meat and 1 side in a "bowl." If you order one of the "combos" it comes with a fountain drink (soda or tea) & 2 sides or some have chips. Other drinks include Mexican sodas in bottles, Agua Fresca (6 flavored waters) or 4 flavors of Milk Smoothies. There is also hot chocolate, Atole (hot sweet corn beverage), coffee, or hot tea. There are 6 dessert options! (Tres Leches cake, filled Churros, Mexican gelatin, Rice Pudding, Flan or ChocoFlan). They even serve breakfast! (breakfast tacos, burritos or a breakfast plate) If you don't want a fountain drink for lunch/dinner, then ordering your food a la carte or a "plate" is the way to go, not one of the combos. The dining area is cute & clean, the employees were super friendly & helpful (we had questions!), and the food was delicious & quick. I'll be back! We were not impressed at all. I realize that they just opened and that could explain why our order was incorrect twice for our visit. I got the "Deer in the headlights" look when trying to order. I can give that a pass as I'm sure they are still training, but the food just wasn't good at all. The tamales hardly had any filling whatsoever. It was mostly the breading and that's all. They seemed like they were pulled from a bag and nuked to Luke warm temperature. The taco had only meat and two tortillas with nothing else. We won't go back. There are an abundance of decent restaurants in the area that are established and have much better food. I was excited to try this as it was touted as traditional Mexican food but the quality just isn't there. read more

Took my daughter and husband out,this was a new place so thought we'd try....won't be going back! Tacos were good beans lacked any flavor and the rice was dry. Both sauces were so hot we couldn't eat them. Son's tamales were so dry only thing good was his corn he ordered. Chicken tacos were good but the pork didn't have any seasoning and was dry I couldn't swallow them......DO NOT RECOMMEND! Was clean tho for that is why they got one star‍! I ordered the Taco Plate Combo; two tacos -steak and fajita chicken for the meat, corn and potatoes for the sides. It was overall Excellent. There are a bunch of different choices for the protein, so take your time picking. I've noticed that they now also serve breakfast. They also sell tamales singly or by the dozen. Note that they're closed on Monday. This is the second time for me and I plan on going back many more times. read more

Stopped in for carryout tamales - chicken and pork. Both were excellent! I've not been able to find chicken tamales anywhere else locally, so will definitely be back for more. I didn't see any white enchilada sauce, so made my own at home. They did offer small containers of several varieties of salsa, etc. and my husband liked those. Okay... pandemic or not, if what we ate is typical, don't bother going. I spent 15 bucks on the worst food... not even worst Mexican. Worst FOOD. Never has food been so horribly abused that I've been driven to tears. I legit left feeling so bad about the waste of food I could have cried. First, they advertise sides that they don't actually have, like ...spaghetti. Next, the flautas were so hard the plastic fork bent and snapped sideways. The beans made a sad attempt at refried...but never got past Ranchero and had ZERO flavour. Now, the tamales... not fresh, not even hot. Finally, the rice side dish had peas, corn, and GREEN BEANS! Fun Mexican faire with a pleasing decorative flair! At first look, I loved the cute decor with the flavored water bar, high industrial ceilings, and a bright pink wall featuring a unique USA/ MEXICO hand painted floral mural above the order line. Tried a tamale plate and the street taco plate. The tamales are good, nicely balanced between masa and filling as well as being reasonably priced. Loved the option for tasty steamed veggies or a unique lightly creamed Mexican corn or you can have a basic unremarkable refried pinto bean and Spanish rice sides with your meal. A green sauce is bright but not spicy and the red sauce is very spicy and really flavorful. All the meat seems perfectly prepared almost like a barbacoa style flaked beef that was fantastic. There are daily specials during the week so could be a fun place to stop by weekly for your favorites. So many hard surfaces and tile make the interior of the restaurant uncomfortably loud and somewhat hard to hear during busier times. Service is well staffed but not fast though the order was prepared correctly. Overall a solid B+ experience with some unique drink and dessert treats that the whole family can enjoy.
