I opted for the red sauce and found the dish flavorful. Don't wait too long to eat it or the heat from the stone will turn the meat strips into jerky. My wife had beef enchiladas with a red chili sauce. Was good but different from typical Tex Mex with chili con carne that she usually gets. All in all I would say 4 stars. The only reason this wasn't a 5-star is because we went specifically for the Birria tacos, but they were out of the birria sauce, so that was a huge disappointment. The service is amazing. The guacamole was made fresh and was enough for 2 people to share. My frozen margarita didn't come from a machine. It was blended and made fresh in-house. I took a friend for lunch and she wanted to go here. When we got there we were greeted and chips, salsa and cheese sauce was delivered to our table. Chips were fresh, crisp and thin. Salsa had a great Smokey flavor. The cheese sauce did not have much flavor to me. My friend got the chicken enchiladas and I got the mojeto. This was a great visit. I've heard much about this place, but I usually go down the street to places I have experience with. This is now on my approved list. Service was great, food was flavorful, and the space was very clean Got a few meats on tacos, tried the beef and Lamb birria, and the tacos de papas. I think the carnitas and barbacoa are only offered on weekends, but I'm not certain; I do recall that a couple of meats were only available weekends Tacos I had were pastor, carnitas, and barbacoa. Their pastor was unique with a few chopped pieces of pineapple mixed in with the meat. Usually there is a chunk of pineapple at other places, but I liked their use here. Carnitas are chopped and have great crunchy frilly texture from how they cooked it, and good flavor. Barbacoa was super tender and I just love the gamey flavor of this meat The beef and lamb birria were both done really well. I didn't sense one as better than the other, but I would certainly encourage giving the lamb a try The churro is an experience. Very snappy on the exterior, pillowy and suave interior, and just heavenly. They serve it as a dish with ice cream or you can order them individually On the way out; the table behind us had this showstopper of a dish I don't recall seeing it on the menu, but it appeared to have avocado, shrimp, lump crab, and herbs all mixed, balanced, and stacked beautifully. I argued with myself not to point and talk about another table, but I did. With my eyes gazing and finger pointed at the dish, but speaking softly, "what is that dish?". With an excited and detailed reply she answered but I paraphrasingly summarize as "seafood tower". That's definitely an order I'll place during my next visit read more

We went for the birria tacos and unfortunately they didn't have the birria sauce that day. We stuck around anyway because the reviews were excellent, so we had to try the food. First off, it looks like they had a recent remodel, which was a nice touch. Our server was warm and friendly the whole time. Although we couldn't order authentic lamb birria tacos, the server offered my wife an alternate meal; lamb tacos with queso. But before that, we got complimentary chips, roasted pepper salsa (that was amazing) and queso. The queso was a bit watery, but the flavor was still good. I wanted the Pizzabirria, but because they were out, I opted for a platter of asada street tacos and barbacoa street tacos w/ a side of fresh guacamole. Everything was cooked to order and super fresh. The wife even ordered a strawberry margarita that she enjoyed. We'll definitely be back to try the birria, but we'll call ahead to make sure that sauce is brewing baby. This is one of our new favorite Mexican food spots! read more

Here's an unexpected little gem serving both Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food. I had a few of their street tacos. They don't use much oil in their taco style, which can be a good thing, it sure feels healthier. But I prefer a little more oil for texture and flavor. Their al pastor is excellent, even some of the best around, with lots of flavor, and it's done here the very best way full of soft pineapple chunks! Chicken was tender chunks, not pulled, ​tasty, especially with one of their excellent house salsas. Carnitas are a lil too crispy and chopped extra fine, not the tender chunks I prefer. It was my least favorite but still not bad. Regular price tacos are $1.99, but they post $1 days on Facebook (and I think also on Saturdays). Oops, we did forget to ask for grilled onions this time, so I'm not sure if they will add them or not. Service was great, very attentive. Space is updated and well lit, with comfortable tables and chairs. Definitely family friendly, and also kept very clean. Kudos to how fast they bus tables here and wipe surfaces down with bleach. The only negative I'd bring up is the tortilla chips weren't fresh, and queso lacked flavor. And the taco tortillas are merely passable. But hubby says the lime shoved into the top of his Tecate without even asking was a nice touch. We came away feeling satisfied and all smiles. We will definitely be back. read more

Heard about the place from some coworkers.... The staff took our order and did fantastic. Our server was awesome and helped my on my Spanish lingo... Made a short drive to the area & we were craving Mexican. It wasn't too busy -the food was cooked lightning fast and it was piping hot. I had seen some really great reviews for here and wanted to try it. I am happy to report, it was very good! Ran in to grab it to go. They weren't very busy. I knew what I wanted, so I didn't really study the menu. Ordered immediately and had my order within 5-7 minutes. They had everything packed perfectly. A few salsas to try and both corn and flour tortillas, per my request. They were still warm after driving home to eat. The fajitas were very tasty. The green salsa was fresh and great! I didn't try the red salsa but my husband took one bite and he had fire coming out of his mouth! Ha! So if you want HOT, get the red! The tables and other areas were clean. The staff was friendly. Okay people this resturant is freakin amazing. I eat there at least 2 times a week. Today not only did I order my regular Chilaquiles...I decided to try the Tapatia Baked Potato!!! We tried this place out based on recommendations in a local foodie group. The Molcajete is fantastic!! Excellent. But the jalapeño may get you lol! Chorizo is great! We loved it! Bistec a Ka Mexicana was perfect! I ordered without jalapeños, because I can't handle heat lol, and substituted the sauce for ranchero - just to be safe. Refried beans were perfect. More people should know about this place because the owners, cook, and servers need to be recognized for great service and providing delicious street tacos, birria tacos and pizza, molcajete,, pozole, enchiladas, and so much more. Just be careful. When you sit down they bring you a bowl of chips, salsa and queso. By the time the food arrives, I've usually scarfed down half the bowl! Such a cute little Mexican place. I came here to try birria tacos and they've got them! I tried the lamb and the beef ones and they're both very filling and delicious. I love the different salsa and dipping sauce they give you in addition to the broth. They're spicy and very delicious! They are very far from my place so I won't be back anytime soon. I also ordered their chips and dips and I thought they are just okay. Their salsa has this dark burned pieces to it which freaks me out a little bit thinking it's the burn part of the pan.
