The suite had two bedrooms, which was nice for a family, but being a Georgian house, there were quirks. The floors were very uneven, to the point that I would feel vertiginous walking around. The bathroom had uneven water pressure where the temperature fluctuated wildly, and there was not enough counter space for 4 people. There was a nice sitting room but definitely not enough closet space. However, the location is so lovely. It's about a block from the Pulteney Bridge and also a block from a full sized Waitrose. It's a short walk to the train station, Bath Abbey, and the Roman Baths. Staff is friendly and generally competent. The front desk staff was a little confused and slow, and, while the rooms were generally clean, I don't advise that guests look under the beds or behind the furniture, as those are very dusty (ick). I love that they leave biscuits to go with tea daily and that they actually replenish everything on a daily basis. Those biscuits were life savers for my jetlagged children whose stomachs were not yet on UK time. I contacted the hotel a couple times before we arrived. They were not able to help with arranging for a babysitter (they told me to Google "Bath" and "babysitter"), but they did give me good information about a wheelchair rental for my husband. I would consider returning here on a future visit.

No room for their luggage. Not even enough room in the bathroom to use the toilet. Poor lighting as well. Our room was not clean, light bulbs were out, used bottles of shampoo, no body wash, caps on the shower floor, refrigerator not working and there was no air circulation. I had to wear shoes around the room after I saw what my socks looked like after walking on the floor with only socks. We were better off sleeping in the hall. They must have problems with that room, because there was already a portable fan in the room, which it merely moved warm air around. There was no proper walkway for a normal person to get to the bureau, which also had coffee on it never mind someone who has a disability or a wheelchair. Plenty of lighting in our room, though, even with missing bulbs! Breakfast food was ok. It was too complicated to sit at or around the bar in the evening. Two different buildings, too. One building had many rooms, bar, checkin, breakfast, etc, but there was a completely different building that was close, but not close enough to be convenient when you need ice or talk to staff when need something for the room. The wifi is absolutely horrible in the 2nd building. It never worked. Needed to use data or stand by the door to the room to get a bar of wifi. The main building had no issues with the wifi. If you are traveling with someone and need separate beds, DO NOT stay here. They'll give you a cot for the 2nd person to sleep on. They do have good security with the front doors, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. They only offer breakfast. No other food during any other time of the day. Radisson needs to get their act together. I very strongly do NOT recommend staying here.

The bed is completely covered up so tightly like a package. I twist a nerve on my wrist, trying to un-do the comforters, so I can get inside, and it got too hot during the night, that I ended up sleeping partly outside of my covers, I guest I went too far and I also uncovered part of the fitted sheet as part of my covers, it is no wonder, MY COVERS are too heavy & thick! 3. Several of us, our rooms weren't ready when we entered the hotel, our Tour Director weren't happy about that! UPDATE: See photo. 4. The closet is heated, so while rushing out to catch the bus, I put on my heated-coat, it was giving me hot flushes as we walked down the elevator to the bus, in a sweaty-smelly cranky mood! If I had to imagine a bed and breakfast in the English country side, this would be it. The hotel is organized with a main house (living room, check in, dining room) and separate living quarters surrounding the house. My cousin booked two rooms for us and we had the entire second floor to a English country house all to ourselves. The name was really cute too. I think our rooms were called Chaucer and Shakespeare? Rooms were spacious. We had a comfortable bed, big bathroom. Tub and shower. We had free tea and coffee in the room and a small tv (w/ cable). The windows opened out (no screen) and we had a view of the green landscape surrounding the property. The room was also very well heated. Which was good, as the nights were quite chilly in September. We dined twice in the main house. Once for dinner and also for breakfast. Dinner was really good! Breakfast was good too. We could order a full English breakfast off the menu. And we also had unlimited fruit, cereal, breads and jams (LOVED fresh jam). I remember having smoked salmon w/ eggs, English toy soldiers, sausage and hot tea. So stuffed! The gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. Take a bit out of your day to stroll around. We found fruit trees, berry bushes and wild flowers. Very picturesque. Widbrook also has a heated pool. So take the opportunity to relax and take a dip! Parking is available on-site for your car. Very beautiful English bed and breakfast in the countryside. My stay was wonderful. =)
