I have been a customer for 25 years. This has become the worst company that I have ever dealt with. I continued to have problems with my cable going out so now they changed me to their WI-FI that is horrible, it also keeps going out effecting my computer and TV. When they changed me to Wi-Fi they also got into my account and fraudulently changed my billing to automatic payments so I never got my statement in the mail like I have for 25 years. I went up to the Xfinity store at the Town Center in Jacksonville and paid my bill by check as I always do and called the corporate office and changed my billing back to monthly statements. Then I got an email from Xfinity that my bank returned my check and they charged me $25.00 for a returned check. I called my bank and they said they never returned the check and that I have sufficient funds to cover any check that I write. My bank said they never received the check so they could not have returned it. I have spoken with 5 people at the so called corporate office for Comcast and each one stated I would receive a credit as the check was probably not processed correctly by the store clerk. I still have not received that credit and every time I call Comcast they put you on hold for hours as they are sending calls to the Philippines and then when you finally are able to talk with someone they lie and tell you they are at the corporate office in Philadelphia. I called again today and could not reach anyone. I also tried to put a complaint on my Xfinity web site to no avail. This company is a fraud, they steal your money by charging fake fees. They did not process my check correctly and then charge me for their stupidity. I am an 80 year old widow and this is shameful. Comcast just installed and blew out our best TV. It is common problem with Comcast - just Google "Comcast blowing out TV" Apparently Comcast just lies and claims it never happened before. Trust Comcast like Putin - both think nothing of lying to your face. Also the menu is overly complicated. The installation guy not figure it all out either - and he was GREAT. If you receive an offer for a free phone from Xfinity mobile, DO NOT accept it! The pitch will sound too good to be true because it is. I was offered a $20 a month charge for unlimited text and one gig of data. This came along with a free Moto G phone. I found out later that I would be charged $315 for the telephone and the billing started almost immediately and my cell phone charges was $58 instead of 20. They told me that I could have my phone activated by use of just the telephone number and the carrier. That did not happen the phone could not be ported over. The Comcast clerk could not back out of the transaction so she has signed a new number which calls these fees. Comcast would not accept the phone back because they said it had to be activated before they'll accept it back. It could not be activated for some reason so I was caught in the middle. I was lied to several times while on hold with each clerk, for more than two hours at a time. You will see screenshots and the photos below. they send you the phone rather you get it or not your return window is closing. If you don't get that phone Activate it first, and then sent back to them within a 10 day turnaround. You will pay a hefty fee. I could not get anyone to pull the call after begging for nearly a month. Eventually, I got someone at the highest level. I was just about to write the corporate office and the FCC when a young lady returned my call. I had to go directly to the Comcast office to make this happen. They have done absolutely nothing to help rectify the situation. The driver of this xfinity truck passed me because I was only doing the speed limit, then cut me off as he moved back into my lane causing me to have to swerve off onto the shoulder. As is tradition with Comcast, their business model and customer service are both abysmal. They raised my 80-year-old mother's rate (for basic internet and a VOIP phone) without explanation so I called to ask why. After literally 4 hours, 3 customer service people, 2 representatives that put me back to the main phone number with the prompts to begin all over again, their "only" solution to lowering her rate was to make her get a cell phone through them. What? No one wants that! They would not explain the rate hike other than to say she's getting 150 Mbps. She uses the service to look up some things on her computer and occasionally stream a video (when she can recall how). The woman does not need 150 Mbps! They refused to lower her bill back to where it had been without her buying into their cell phone program. When we refused that, the representative, unbeknownst to us, put mom on the list to have her service cancelled 4 days later. We only found out about that from the next representative. I work in IT customer service and if I behaved like this at my job I would be fired immediately. This company is the worst in every way. read more

I work from home, and need my internet to work. That said, I pay a lot of money to Comcast every month for their services, so I can have the fastest service available. Normally, it's great. But, when I have an issue, it takes the finger of God himself to get something fixed. My most current issue began last week on Wednesday, but I didn't really make the call until Thursday. I had a presentation scheduled that afternoon, and my internet kept going out, no matter how many times I reset the router. I was told, because my router was 3 years old, it would need to be exchanged. Then, after further checking, the person on the phone told me there was something that was missed during activation, but he was able to fix it, so no need to replace the router. Well, that was wrong, because as soon as I began my presentation, and 2 other times while I was on the phone my internet went down again! My call had to be rescheduled. After work that day, I went to the Xfinity store to exchange my router (just to make sure!). I set everything up, and it seemed to be working. The next day, the same thing happened. After I reset the router a couple times, it seemed to be working. Over the weekend, my husband told me he had to reset the router...again. UGH! I called Xfinity, and was told they were seeing a "red" something or other, that shows I've been having trouble, so they scheduled a tech for Tuesday. I've been having the same issues since my call. This morning (Tuesday morning), I rec'd a call from Comcast saying they had "fixed" everything, and asked if they could cancel the tech for me. They did ask if everything was working (which it was at the time), and I told them "at this time, yes, but how do we know it's fixed?" Long story, short, is the cancelled the tech. As the time came for my scheduled appointment, the internet started going out again! After I reset the router TWICE, I called Comcast, and I was furious! Now, because they are showing the "I cancelled the appointment", they don't have any available appointments until Saturday. So, now, I have to try to make it through my work week with daily intermittent internet issues until then. They did give me a $20 refund on my bill, but that doesn't even put a small ding, much less a dent in my monthly Comcast bill. This is unacceptable! read more

Where oh where do I begin?!? This is long, so please forgive me, but if you're thinking about ditching Comcast, keep calm and read on my friends, because this is good. It is unfortunate that citizens of this great country still have to live in a world with Comcast. Just this week, I cancelled my account after being a Comcast customer since my almost 15 years in Florida, and 15 years of absolutely awful customer service, technical service, and only kept my account this long because it was basically the only choice in my area until att and Direct TV began bundling their services. Now...without further ado.... I sold my home on 3/3/17 and requested Comcast switch my service from my old address to my new address with the installation appt set for 3/13/17. I work out of my home, so having service is not just a luxury, it's a requirement to operate my business. 3/13/17 comes. Appt from 1-3pm. I take the whole day off for the appt. Comcast not only does not show up, but they do not even both to call, despite my "guaranteed" 1-3pm appt. and despite getting at least 5 automated phone calls and separate text messages from Comcast annoyingly reminding me to death of my appt. Now since I've been a Comcast customer this long, I've become accustomed to crappy service so figured I'd let this one slide. I call after the no show at 3:15 and am told a tech will be out the next day 3/14. 3/14...the tech shows up, and we walk around my house to scope out the project, which included installing some new cable lines through the attic to pull through the floorboards. The tech tells me "I have allergies and cannot do this type of work, so I will have to reschedule you." Are you kidding me?? that's like hiring a bank teller who is allergic to money. Why in the world would he even waste his time and more importantly my time in showing up to do the work?! The tech not only leaves a ladder in my yard (which is still there despite me telling them to come pick it up out of my yard) but tells me no appt is available until FRIDAY 3/17 from 5-7pm. How is that possible?! Friday 3/17 5:30pm comes. Obviously not at all confident that Comcast will show up, let alone even call given that appt slot is the last for the day, I call Comcast at 5:30 to find out the status of the tech. I am told my appt is still on and not to worry, and that the tech would call me directly when he's close by. Shockingly, 7pm comes. No tech. No phone call. I call Comcast. I am told, after being on the phone for over 30 minutes, that a tech was never assigned and that they could not come out on Friday, and that the next appt was not until the following day, Saturday 3/18. I have to be on some kind of a TV show where the Comcast commercial guy who says Comcast's new motto is all about customer service pops out of the bushes and says "just kidding! Here's your tech right here and 3 free months service for this awful inconvenience customer of over a decade!" Sadly, this was simply a lucid dream. I ask to speak to the supervisor who "understands my concerns", but assured me I am "guaranteed" for 3/18 the following day, shockingly from 5-7pm again, and not to worry. He tells me that there is no way to have a tech come out sooner because other customers had "guaranteed" appts. You have to kidding. Please be. You have to. He was not. 3/18/17...I call at 3:30 and again at 5:00 to make sure a tech is actually assigned. My appt still shows as active, but no tech assigned. Now I simply know they aren't coming. FOR THE FOURTH TIME. THE FOURTH TIME IN A WEEK. 6:30 comes. I call back. Lo and behold, no tech assigned because one "was not available to complete that kind of job". Holy. Cow. I immediately demanded to have my account cancelled. The fun doesn't stop here. My service was disconnected on 3/3 and had not a drop of TV or internet since then, yet the first rep told me I would be billed through 3/18 (the day of the 4th no show). It took another 35 minutes and a transfer to the billing dept to get this remarkably simple question resolved. Signed up for AT&T and Direct TV's bundle package and couldn't be happier. Their tech showed up, on time, was finished in a couple hours, and I am free forever of absolutely the worst company I've encountered in my 37 years on this earth. Repeatedly and consistently the worst customer service experience in my life. First and foremost - it always takes hours to get hold of any agent. Their phone response system with automated voice will ensure you never speak to a human. Second - they raise prices every year, considerably. Third, and the most personal offense - when I disconnected their service, I had to spend hours on a call to sort out an equipment issue on their side. Even when I was assured that everything would work out on my return of the equipment - they claimed they didn't get the equipment back and charged me $120 for it. Trying to fix this issue resulted in an endless agony of phone calls and no results. After several attempts using phone, chat, and "automated messengers" - I still couldn't speak to a human being who might be able to help me with a non-standard issue. I was treated so rudely that I discontinued all my xfinity services. I made an appointment to get some help with options, the young CSR who helped me, (Marquis) told me i didn't know what I was talking about and that he knew everything because he worked there and it just got worse from there. I returned the next day to return all xfinity equipment. As luck would have it Marquis was the CSR again. I tried to let him know his customer service skills were the reason I was discontinuing my affiliation with them. His response to me was "I really don't care what you think". Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe he was trying to get fired so he could collect unemployment. Really that's the only reason I can think of that would justify a company representative treating a customer the way he did. One star because that is the lowest. The modem I got from Comcast is faulty, after about six months. I have to unplug it and let it reboot or whatever it does, at least two to three times daily. I pay $14 month rental and they want me to pay $100 to have new one installed. These people are money hungry and probably wonder why they have the absolute worst rating for customer service. Time to get critical! Comcast is a business that wants to make a profit. They care about the customer's money, not the customer. I've done business with them for many years, since they came to Jacksonville. The people in their call centers are usually knowledgeable and professional; until you come to the billing department. They want your money and while never lying, will omit details and tell the truth 1000 different ways. They are IMHO the best internet provider in Jacksonville. If you want better speed, they don't mind charging you for it. You get what you pay for... BUT, Comcast also provides TV, and phone service. As far as TV goes, they are the best provider with fiber optic cables but premium channels come at premium prices! Their phone service is extremely lacking; too much coming over one shared fiber optic cable. If your business uses a fax machine - good luck, the service simply isn't reliable. (and that pertains to both customer and business support.) If you are looking for phone and fax service AT&T may do it better, but they are going to charge far more than one wants to pay, and lock you into a year long contract. When it comes to internet, TV, phone and fax service simply remember that you get what you pay for, and the providers will charge you more than you think the service is worth. read more

Needed help with audio on cable TV, intermittently goes in & out, first you are FORCED to go thru an automated tree that ALSO has the same audio issues...And NO I DO NOT HAVE COMCAST PHONE SVC, it is difficult enough getting just TV svc to WORK, why pay this cruddy company for more issues!! If there was a negative star I would use it. Normally, I use my unlimited data plan on Verizon, but today, I was forced to rely on Xfinity mobile internet. What a disaster. I had to change my password, and was told my new password was okay. It looked like I was signed in, but suddenly a screen (something called PEAP?) appeared and asked me to reenter my ID and password. I did. But I was unable to login. After another few tries the system would not even recognize my ID. A screen then directed me to call Comcast support. I simply do not have the strength to spend an hour or more dealing with customer support's maze. I will be so-o-o glad when I can receive 5G service, and I am free of Comcast forever. read more

As for your review, your perception of what went on is totally incorrect and I had originally planned to get the top tier of the triple play with the alarm system for the house. Then due to Comcast waiting to install both the alarm and the cable at the same time, I basically changed my mind and thank God that I did! The thought of Comcast having an upper hand and tying me into a contract was something I couldn't let a company like yours do to me. I know the things you do and you do not have upstanding practices. Just for the mere issue I'm having now.... proof positive. So when it came time to get the service, I went over to the River City Xfinity office and got what I thought was a package. I ordered the Economy Plus Cable TV package, and along with that package I requested that I could have a 25mbs internet deal that can go together with it? Remember now, I'm not the sales person here! At the store, a girl named Tae took care of me and thinking she was giving me what I needed in a trim package, I also added the HBO and HD along with a box for the bedroom. After a few days, I checked the speed on my computer and saw that it was only about 12 mbs and I know I was supposed to have 25 mbs. I called customer support, spoke to a tech agent who was extremely nice and spoke with an American accent, so I could understand him, and he told me that for the plan I had, it's the right speed. I said, " no way!" I told the agent in the store that I needed 25 mbs at a minimum. So here I go, back into the store for that! I decided that the channel lineup was about as interesting as watching paint dry, so I took the bedroom box back to the store as well. This time another agent helped me and I went into also speak to the Assistant Manager Vanessa. With the installation issue I had which was mentioned in my previous email and this, I think the agent I had, his name was Rolando, helped me figure out the best plan. While I was having all this issue, Vanessa credited me the install charge for the tech coming out to my home because I was NOT informed that I would be charged. She heard of everything I went through and they gave me HBO free for a year for the issues I had. I know that Vanessa was searching for codes to input on my account for the HBO and she also had a guy call me that was continuing with the corrections, I believe his name was Michael. As a matter of fact, he was supposed get back to me the last final time but never did. I didn't think it was necessary so I never pursued it. The cable getting cut but the construction people came after. I don't know what lower Tier you're talking about.... I actually increased my Tier and I had HBO as an extra add on. I would appreciate no words being put in about my comprehension. I know what happened.... I was there.... MY QUESTION TO YOU IS, ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR????? We switched our business account to Comcast from AT&T a few years back. The service has been anything but great. There are constant outages. Their business email account has got to be the most unprofessional and pathetic email service I have ever encountered. I often have issues signing into the email account. Beware all Comcast Xfinity customers. They've found a new way to screw you. If, like me, you started out with Comcast as a no-contract customer, they sent you an email in June 2018 (mine came on the13th) saying you had 30 days to cancel or you were committing yourself to a 2-year contract complete with early termination fees. Of course, you get absolutely nothing, except relief from the threat of your bill going up even higher than it already is. It's truly a scam of unique proportions and anything but legal (email is not a legal document like a fax). Of course, I didn't see that email because I don't read their emails because they send them all the time and it's normally just trying to sell me something or advising me what to watch. By the time they're slipping in new service agreements, I'm totally inured. I didn't find out about this until I called to cancel my services today. Comcast is the worst cable/internet company to receive service through. If you can avoid using them, I advise that you STAY AWAY from them. I moved from GA to FL over a week ago and they still have not managed to transfer my service. I put in the request to transfer my service on February 6, 2019. I was advised that I needed to call another number for the service provider in that area. It was the number for Direct TV...?? So we moved on the following day and I called back on the 8th. I was told by a polite woman that they needed to put in a service request to have my apartment unit switched from a "commercial property" to a "residential property" and I was told this would take 5 days at most. A little weird but I trusted her. Day 6 arrives, still no call. I called and A young man named Andre informed me the service request had been resolved. He then proceeded to tell me that Comcast did not service our area. I told him that I received a flyer from the front office with the name of an Xfinity rep on it and he continued to tell me that I was wrong and that someone on our end didn't know what they were talking about. He then refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I hung up the phone and called back and the woman I spoke with was actually able to get things taken care of and set up an appointment for a technician to come out to the apartment today between 3pm & 5pm. Have they shown up? NOO! I received a call at 3:45 and was told that they had an unusual number of call outs and they weren't sure that someone would make it out today. I have been trying to get this done for 11 days! My job and school rely on me being able to use the internet and I have not had any service because this company cannot get their crap together. If I could use another company, I wouldn't even think twice about switching. If you can use another company, stay away from Comcast and go with another service provider. Comcast is not organized and they do not show any empathy or sense of urgency in resolving the problems they have caused. read more

I had call in October to try and lower my bill from 240.72. I was quoted a bundle of 169.95 plus tax if I sign a two year contract. Which I agreed, when I received my bill it stayed the same at 240.72. I call on Nov 16 and was on the phone with Comcast for a hour with a rep name Jerald which I ask to speak with his supervisor. He put me on hold for 20 minutes. Came back on and said supervisor would call in 24hrs which would have been Nov 17 at about 6:30pm to 7:00pm. No one called. I called Nov 20th and was told that bundle not available. Obviously Comcast per motion of customer service is bull S--t. Comcast is all about profit and not customer service to maintain there customer base. Why would you need new customers as long as Comcast can rip off the good customers that have been with them for years. And when you question your billing they don't care of you leave as a customer.
