Comcast REALLY needs to figure out how they can learn to communicate and handle their customer's needs-- definitely re-training, for starters, for several employees. I know me arriving 6 minutes before closing doesn't make it any better for you but I don't think I deserve to be treated unfairly when I greet you with a "good evening" and all I get first from your words is "empty the stuff from the box". If I could review Comcast corporate company as a whole I would give a one star. They are such a mess, service always goes in a circle but none the less I am reviewing the local customer service center. I was having a lot of wifi issues, after multiple calls being directed to various departments someone told me I could upgrade my modem to a new model. Wish I knew that sooner, but fine send me the model. If Comcast Corp puts in the order there is no guarantee on model so I had to come in to make the request. I went in on a weekend which wasn't a great idea since it was packed! The sign in process isn't very clear, a guy had an old school paper & pen. For a technology based company that was sad. Not even a digital we are serving # whatever. No clue how many are in front of you and if you miss the guy you sit and wait for nothing. The wait went by quickly. I explained my situation got my box. Not any conversation, not much verification in & out. Not sure if that is good or bad. I opened the box to make sure it was the model I needed and the girl felt insulted. Nothing against her I was told by Comcast to double check and I don't want to go home to find it the wrong one. Get there early, be prepared on your needs and you should be fine. read more

You will find out after you sign there very under handed contracts the your internet net speed will be too slow so you will need to upgrade to another contract. Let me start by saying that Comcast does offer a decent service from a technical standpoint, but their customer service, operations, and billing departments are ridiculous and unorganized. I gave them another shot when I moved to Fort Lauderdale a few months ago because their service was the only one offered in my complex. First of all I transfered my service from my old house to my new apartment and rather than just transfer my account, they instead removed all my equipment from their system and callcelled my account. What this meant was that I could not get my HD channels and regular service up and running for over a week after my transfer was scheduled. During this time I believe I had to spend upwards of 3 hours reading the numbers on my boxes to them and explaining the scenario to their representatives every time I called, because EVERY time you call you get some new person who seems to be missing a few chromosomes. In addition to THEIR MISTAKE, they billed me an additional month ahead on my service because of THEIR MISTAKE on the transfer. My internet quality was inconsistent and I constantly had problems with dropout and with On Demand service, even though I was paying more than $160 a month! Finally I gave up and returned my equipment to THIS LOCATION no more than a month after getting the service. Of course the woman who took my payment and scanned my equipment back into their system never closed my account as promised. Two months later I am still getting billed for a service I don't have and I have to spend 30 minutes on the phone explaining why I am not paying $400 for service I don't even have, and waiting on a representative to straighten this whole ordeal out. All this after I already went to their office and spent an hour in line to physically return my equipment and close my account. Let me reiterate, in addition to the hour in line I spent at this office over two month ago, I know just HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER 30 MINUTES OF MY LIFE DEALING WITH A COMPANY WHO I LEFT OVER TWO MONTHS AGO. Comcast is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and this is not the first time I have had to deal with their organizational nightmare. This review is for Comcast in general, not this specific store location. In my entire life, I have not dealt with worse customer service than I've experienced with Comcast over the last month since I signed up for service. Getting my service activated was a nightmare, required multiple phone calls, and finally an on site appointment by a technician. Without informing me, they charged me for sending the technician. Every time I called, my call got bounced around by 5+ people. Obviously they don't understand how to route the calls properly the first time. Every single person you speak to will answer like you're the first person you're speaking to. Everyone asks for your name, full address, and other info to verify your account... and then asks you why you're calling, instead of getting this from the other customer service rep who transferred you to them. Instead they'd rather have customers repeat this over and over. How this can be considered acceptable by management is absolutely unbelievable. But it must be, because it happens without fail every time I call. Online chat - same deal. But the best part is getting a popup message that I've consumed my 300GB data limit, when at NO POINT during the activation of my service was there any mention of a data limit. I would have sprung for an unlimited plan, but of course now I'm pissed because I was intentionally deceived into selecting a package based on the false premise that it was in fact unlimited. Now they're telling me it's $30/month extra for unlimited. Oh, and somehow I've used that up in 2 weeks. And don't expect to be able to track your data consumption on their website though to see if their metering is accurate! I was told via chat "that feature is not yet available." I'm researching other ISPs in this area. This is hands down the worst ISP I have used in my entire life. read more

What i am rating as a FiveStar is this location. I ordered Comcast X1 for my moms house and yes they gave me a good price COMPARED to what we had before, and then Comcast sent me the boxes and had me make all my connections, so for Comcast itself i would give a one star for that part of the company. One of my boxes was not working properly so i brought it in for replacement, and the employees at this location were very nice, very helpful, the swapped my defective box, and also noticed on my account that the Modem/Router they sent me and i installed was not the proper one for the services i had, and asked me to please bring it in when i had a chance so they could swap it out for me. The two times i have been to this location for these issues, i dealt with different employees, and both were great, both were very helpful, and solved my issues promptly. Thank you. read more

I usually find people who give the lowest possible score to a company to be annoying and suspicious ... probably just competition trying to steal customers away from a business. But the fact is that I'm giving Comcast 1 star only because there's no way to give it zero stars. They have been a total nightmare. We've been trying to get our cable/internet/phone service since March, and FIVE MONTHS LATER, they STILL haven't done a single thing right, and we STILL don't have service to the cottage in the back. They even accidentally changed our phone number, which we have had for almost 20 years, and they couldn't correct the error for almost 3 weeks. It's a lucky thing we were able to get our number back and it wasn't assigned to someone else. The problems we've had with them are so numerous that I really can't get into all of it. It's been practically a part-time job dealing with them. Orders not placed when they were supposed to, orders placed and then mysteriously cancelled by their system, appointments missed over and over again, equipment not being sent, techs coming out and not doing the work they were supposed to for one reason or another, conflicting messages being given by different agents ... the list goes on and on and on and on and on ... you get the idea. The only reason we've even bothered continuing to try to make this happen is because our internet connection with AT&T was so slow that it very often had trouble loading a standard, no-frills web page. The service with Comcast isn't lightning fast or anything like that (even though we have the fastest service they provide), but it is what you expect from an ISP. If we had any other realistic options available, though, I can tell you for a fact that we would NOT willingly give Comcast our business. So, after 5 MONTHS of working with these idiots on a weekly basis, here's my advice to you on the best way to handle things: (1) WORK ONLY VIA CHAT ... because, with this company, one agent will tell you one thing and another agent will tell you the exact opposite, and they don't seem to keep any records of what you've called in about or what they've said or promised to their customers. Even confirmation #s don't mean anything. I've called in to ask about a standing order and given a confirmation #, and they've claimed not to have it in their system. This may be because they are using at least 2 different systems (I was recently trying to get stuff done via a chat window and the agent I was chatting with couldn't find me on the system as an authorized person on the account. Despite the fact that I'm the only fluent English speaker in my household and I'm the one who had been handling ALL account matters for the months we've been trying to get this mess straightened out. With the chat window open, I CALLED in and talked to another agent, Joe, who said yes absolutely, I was right there on the first screen. When I relayed this information to the guy I was chatting with, the chat agent kept giving me the run around. Joe asked me to ask him which system he was using, and the chat agent responded that he couldn't tell me about the technology the company uses. He also couldn't give me his agent ID number, he insisted, even though Joe gave me his with no problem whatsoever), but this really shouldn't be the customer's problem, should it??? Their chat software lets you print a transcript of the chat for your records. The transcript shows the chat session ID #. In theory, someone somewhere in corporate should be able to pull up a record of the chat by the ID number, but really, I don't trust a single thing that comes from this company, so I also PDF the chats and keep them. I imagine that a class-action law suit is not far off, and I want to have documentation of the insanity this company has put me through. (2) Be really polite and ask as if there's nothing wrong ... BUT GET THE AGENT'S OPERATOR ID UPFRONT. If they're not willing to give it to you before there's anything wrong, they're certainly not going to give it to you after. Their agents seem to be trained differently, and some will give it to you and others won't (you really have to wonder about a company that would train their agents to NOT give out their agent ID number). If you ask upfront, you won't waste your time on a call that you won't be able to document later. If they don't give you their ID, "hang up" and try again until you get an agent that does. (3) DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. I'd like to figure out a way to record my calls for those occasions where I have to call in, but at the very least I record date/time of calls, name of whom I spoke to, and what we talked about. I try to get agent IDs and confirmation #s for EVERYTHING, and if I didn't get a confirmation #, I assume nothing is going to happen, since it doesn't always happen even when I *DO* have them. And best of luck to you. You're going to need it if you have no choice but to go with Comcast. Trust me. read more

True Definition of a Bait and Switch. Purchased Blast Plus Pkg at 59.99 per month, online. I could not finalize online. Website tpld me to call in. when I called I was to;d my Blast plus pkg included a choice of HBO or Showtime. When my cpmcast was hooked up I was told I have 10 channels plus HBO and not the 46 channels I was originally told online. When I called Comcast it took two hours to almost clear this up. I got my Blast Plus without HBO which is what I originally signed up for. But, I was told I could not get it for the same price. It would cost 5 dollars more or 120 per year. She could not give me the original pkg I signed up for. That is a true Bait and Switch. I will notify the Attorney Generals Office. And am looking into The Dish Network. read more

Why should I have to pay a maintenance fee when my service was not set up right the first time. Service instaled by a contract tech, call again actually recieved Comcast tech who told my husband the install was not done right by the 1st tech that why my internet connection is dropping. Service worked for awhile had to call back to schedule, this time I wanted to be home to see exactly what the issue was and why this continue to happen. 3rd tech contract tech stated their was an issu with the port. I ternet working. Recieved my bill and I was charged for the visit. Really Comcast. I've lived at this resident since Oct/2015and I had to call fir a tech 3 times for the same issue. An update: nearly a week after switching to Comcast and it gets worse and worse. My internet is spotty at best which is SCARY since they actually put me on their "higher" and "faster" internet speed of 75mpbs or whatever it is. It looses connection, literally, at LEAST 10 times a day. It runs the speed of a dying snail. God forbid if I am in a rush or anything I would have better luck doing whatever I need to do on my cell phone in my car. It is absolutely terrible. Like horrible. As in, if I had absolutely any other possible option, even if it were more expensive I would be doing it now. In the last 4 years I can count MAYBE twice when my internet went out with ATT U-verse. The speed was great, the customer service was great.....it was so much better. I am currently on the "please notify me ASAP when U-verse is available at my address because Comcast is making me want to throw my computer in the lake" list.
