Ugh, take a number on a little ripped off piece of paper just like the Deli at Publix except there's no thinly sliced sandwich delights waiting for you or free samples when they call your number. Customer service should be mutually exclusive words with this location. Though after spending some time here, I really don't blame the Comcast employees. I have never heard so many reasons why people's cable should be turned back on. This is a reality show in the making, some guy telling the Comcast dude that he can't go home and tell his kids there will be no TV tonight, and some other guy cutting in line because his request will only take a few seconds, yet another saying that he paid cash so why isn't his cable back on? Comcast is an evil company. Comcast's "Customer Service" is an oxymoron. Be sure to always check your monthly bills, and avoid auto-pay if possible. If you don't, you will be unpleasantly surprised when they raise the fees of your services and not notifing you before the prices went up. Oh and their equipment rental fees are a scam. If you pay their rental fees every months for less than a year, you could have bought your own equipment. And of course they will not tell you that you can totally buy your own equipment instead of renting theirs. Last but not least, always check what equipment they attached to your account. If you see any equipment listed in your account and you don't have them, be sure to tell them to do an investigation, or else they will charge you the full equipment purchase price when you cancel your account. On top of that somehow there were over $300 in phone calls to Cuba in my modem that started BEFORE it was ordered or even installed in my apartment however charges were accruing after installation and Comcast refused & said they were unable to turn off the landline nor could they just cancel it... Rather shady if you asked me! I never used the landline I was under my 30 cancellation yet they couldn't turn it off??? They made me file a police report in order to dispute the charges and after 3 months I received an I'm sorry it was an error on our part e mail. Meanwhile they threatened to turn me into collections and ruin my credit if I didn't pay $203 bill that was due for the 20ish days of crappy basic service that was not what I ordered. Never thought that I would go back to Comcast because of their high monthly rates but their prices got reasonable thru the years. This place is conveniently located in Hollywood, which is down the street from me. Kind of difficult to find at first because you have to drive around the back of the plaza to find the actual entrance to the store. The worst time to go there is a Saturday, lines are ridiculously long and you have to take a number for you to be called. The workers are attentive and prompt of the reasons you are there. If you sign up with Comcast online and there to pick up the equipment, they make sure the equipment is functionable and works. Our business old $100,000.00 Portfolio had many accounts with Comcast. Our new Portfolio of 2 new locations also chose Comcast. For our new brand new 11 Million dollar store we chose Comcast but we are really disappointed with the lack of Customer Service by the Installation Department. For One month Comcast has to stop at our new site to disconnect their Internet cables from an old electrical pole and connect to the new one which will feed the facility. We spoke with many people along the way and no one of them assisted us! We reached out to many executives at Corporate Comcast and none responded the e-mail. We reached out via phone and until now the issue was not resolved. They are holding our construction. So unfortunately we need to use them for lack of competition on such services. Let me add that the location is pretty tricky to find. The Comcast center is tucked behind the cvs pharmacy. Easiest way to get there in my opinion is if your going north bound on 46th ave pass Sheridan street then make a right and go behind the cvs pharmacy. Do not do business with Comcast Xfinity. They use unethical sales practices to sell products and will not find ways to make it right to loyal customers. I called to set up new service when moving to FL because I had used Comcast for many years in CA. The salesperson on the phone kept pushing home security service saying it was free and that it came with a free iPad. I did not want or need home security service so I kept resisting but since it was free and came with a free iPad I started to ask questions. One of my top concerns was if it were actually an iPad so I asked about that. He was very clear that it was in fact an iPad. In addition, I was concerned that if I were to move to where I could not have Comcast service that I would not be able to get out of the contract. He was also very clear in stating that if I were to move somewhere that I couldn't use he service it would be no problem to cancel. On the day of install it was of course not an iPad with the security system but it was free so I let it stay. One of the sensors fell off right away and I could never arm it because of the dog but I left it sitting there because it was free and it didn't matter. The roof caved in on the rental house I was in (I have it on video - it was crazy) and I was forced to move into a building that doesn't allow Comcast service. So I call in to cancel knowing it would be no problem like the gentlemen said. They tell it's going to be around $180 to cancel the cable and internet so I'm frustrated but that doesn't seem insane so I agree to it then they say let's transfer you to home security division. They tell me it will cost around $600 just for the security cancellation fee! For the free security system that I never wanted with the free iPad that did but control the security system that never worked or did anything at all. I let them know over the phone that I was very frustrated because of the unethical sales practices used in selling the home security system and service and felt that we needed to come to a better resolution. The details of cancellation were not only unclear, they were actually concealed and the sales rep lied repeatedly throughout the sales process. I understand that I could have cancelled within thirty days and why would would I bother cancelling a free service that does nothing? Comcast Xfinity should have made this right and the only resolution offered was to pay the over $700 to cancel and then they will send my complaint up the chain. I spent an HOUR AND A HALF with THREE (3) different sales people trying to do what you would think was relatively simple - upgrading from cable/internet to cable (digital premier)/internet/phone - they call it Triple Play. They should call it Strike Out. Nobody could figure out how to make this happen. Apparently when a manager finally got involved it was because the programming service not available in Hallandale as a bundle, so they had to manually add in each channel. Whaaa ??@?!?#?#?#?. You are kidding me a major technology company (so-called) doesn't have the bundles they promote on their website. And then to get pricing they had to add all the individual components up. The most ridiculous customer experience I have ever had. I would literally go on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time. But I desperately needed the phone service due to no cell reception. I called the customer service number on my bill because my bill went from $295 to $655 in one month. I waited 19:33 minutes for a human being to finally speak to me. They were very nice. After explaining my billing problem 3 times, I was put on hold for another 10 minutes. I did not want to hang up because my bill is due today. After going back and forth for 33 more minutes, the rep told me to pay my normal bill amount and that she would correct it. I tried getting in touch with my sales re Tersee and his supervisor Jorge for the past two weeks before the bill was due (today) but no one would help me. Went to return equipment after an upgrade was applied and a guy at the door stopped us saying they no longer take back equipment and we had to go to UPS to mail it. The paper work in the box even said to return to the local store. After consulting with Comcast by phone, they confirmed that absolutely the local store should accept their equipment back. I signed up with Comcast in April and had no plans to move so I signed the two year contract (I verified at the time that the early termination fee wouldn't be charged if we moved to an unserviceable address as I've encountered this with them previously years ago) now I'm pregnant and we found a home to move into and unfortunately Comcast doesn't service the location, I love their service and prefer them over spectrum any day so I rather just transfer but they cannot help make this possible. To add injury to insult they want to charge me an early termination fee because THEY don't service the area, the manager on the phone was rude and said flat out it's not her problem and it doesn't matter how much we go back and fourth on the phone she's not going to waive the fee even though in other circumstances they're able to do so. I'm disgusted with how I was spoken to on the phone, the lack of customer service or of them taking responsibilities for their shortcomings as a cable company. I will not be paying the early termination fee and I do not recommend every using them. When two employees verify you're not responsible and then two tell you opposite in the same company it's a lack of training. It's their responsibility to provide a service that I pay for and if they cannot provide that service how is it now my responsibility to pay for them not being able to provide that service?! The service (internet and cable) are excellent, HOWEVER, Customer Service is HORRIBLE at best. We called ones to have the signal reset because for some reason it was slower than normal which was very weird. The lady on the phone told us she could upgrade us to HD tv for 10 bucks a month. This has led to $27 dollars in extra fees (connectors, cables) also we were added phone service we never activated but we always got charged for. We also got charged for an installation fee that we installed ourselves. One of our TV's which was working perfectly until we switched to HD had a line not wiring, we spend 45 min with a guy over the phone that could not figure out why it was happening. HE DECIDED to send someone over, next thing we know, they charged is 39.95 for the "visit" cause all the guy did was change a cable. When we called to dispute voice charge and "installation fee" Customer Service rep said they removed the charge and told me how much to pay. I paid what he told me and the next month I received an email telling me i did not pay my bill in full. 3 calls later to Customer service, the issue is still not resolved. They tell you $10 for hd, bit they pile up fees on top like crazy. If you don't have patience move on to another company. i CAN'T believe that a company this big is so disrespectful, liars, and unreliable. COMPLETELY disappointed. btw, we also went to this store in person and they told us to call 1800 COMCAST because they are not allowed to do anything with bills. and when we went to pick up the installing kits we had to tell the girl 3 times why we were there because while we were talking with her she was more worried about changing the channel on the tv hanging in the seating area...
