It's so unfortunate that they are so consistently terrible. They know we are at their mercy and they take full advantage of it. I see a ton of reviews on here saying how they HATE Comcast not realizing this is a Service Center, not the umbrella that is COMCAST. This service center compared to all the multiple service centers in the state is the best I've EVER been to. It's clean. The workers there are amazing and have helped me with anything I need. Moved and cancelled service. Got a 50$ bill which should have been cancelled already. -They actually agreed that this was an error. -Agreed to send me a check. Never came. -So right from the gate, I'm minus $50. My biggest mistake... I failed to return a heavily used modem, which sold for $44 new (many years prior), and $9 used (per Amazon and Ebay). I had THREE of these modems (different versions), which are all essentially obsolete, from prior dealings with Comcast. I donated them to a second hand electronics shop after moving (thus, why I could never recover the modem). Point being, it's basically worthless, $9 maximum. Months later.... Creditors start calling me day and night. Comcast feels I owe them $300 !!! Reason being, for not returning the modem which the market values at $9 (and the subsequent late charges). Keep in mind they already stole $50 from me (above). After 10+ hours on the phone, I realized their customer service is absolutely impenetrable. There is no other describing it. Different reps offering contradictory information. Some are friendly and incompetent, others are belligerent and incompetent. Just for fun, I spent an entire 3 hour car ride on hold or talking with various members of Comcast trying to state my case. At the end, precisely nothing had changed in the 3 hours of customer service. Absolutely impenetrable defense. Two to three years later, I still get a daily or nightly call from whatever collecting agency has bought the "debt". There is a flurry of harassment, then it slows down. The debt gets sold to another collecting agency, which begins the cycle anew. Perhaps most frustrating, is that Comcast actually sold my "debt" which wasn't a loss for them anyway, and actually profited. Comcast has washed its hand of the ordeal. For me, it doesn't end. My credit score has probably been significantly damaged (which was otherwise pristine). I'm too afraid to look. Comcast business - make sure you're going to be on the south side of holland for the next 3 years b/c if you're not, be prepared to pay for 3 years regardless. And if they offer you a discounted rate b/c you're not using it, be prepared to pay the original price you've always been paying not the $29.99 they quoted you. I have to pay for a full year of not being in the building. And apparently full price! And by the way, the reason I had to leave the building was not of my own choosing. The landlord began renovations and stirred up a bunch of mold and I'm extremely allergic to it. And if you think I wanted this, then think again. This company is a joke! I LOVE cable tv- and there are no other companies in the area that offer cable tv. Against my better judgement I signed up for comcast- I knew they were a horrible company to work with but I just really wanted cable. Previously my parents had problems with comcast and when a technician came out to fix the problem he also stole sunglasses and money. I started having problems with my interet about 4 weeks ago, I hesitated to call for help because I knew it was going to be painful....and boy was I right. I was put on hold for 20 minutes, when tech support couldn't help fix my problem (by restarting my router) they transferred me to another dept, another 20 min on hold. When I explained AGAIN my problem to the new department they tried to transfer me back to tech support. WOW! I made an appoitment for a tech to come visit me- had to take a vacatation day from work because it was a 4 hour window. Technician did not show up, and did not call. Again, I didn't realize a company could stay in business working like this...but I guess when there is no competition they can do what they want. I called again a week later and set up another appt- again a no call no show. I called yesterday to cancel my service and was transferred to a total of 4 departments with a hold time of more than 30 minutes each time. When I explained I also needed a credit to my account because my internet was not working I was told I needed to call back to speak to the billing department (another 30min hold wait), and shockingly the billing department's systems were down. I still am trying to call and get credit to my account for 4 weeks without internet- each time I get another excuse on why they can't credit my account. Bottom line- I don't have cable anymore which sucks, but I also don't have to deal with comcast so I think I win. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! Hopefully ATT will provide service in my area soon. I wish I could give them 0 stars they suck that much. read more

If you are stuck with them, I feel sorry for you. I had to send them sease and desist letters as they continued to charge me after I cancelled my account with them. I love my Xfinity internet. The install was a mess. I wanted to save money buy and hook up my own modem. I just wanted them to bring service to my house. They claimed that my service was on..I spent hours. on tech support with Indians. Finally they sent a guy out and he explained ..." at the street in the post full of their cables some installers do not disconnect, they CUT the line so no, the internet was NEVER making it to my house. Then Comcast wanted to charge me $75 for a service call. The Tech told me to fight it and not pay. After all that... I have excellent internet for $19 a mo. every year at the anniversary I call to cancel and they renew my price of $19 a mo. Its work saving money.. read more

Comcast can't get anything right. 2 technicians showed up without an appointment a week ago Saturday night and didn't even complete the job. When I schedule an appointment they didn't show up twice. They screwed up my account in their system and then they screwed up my bill. They are trying to charge me too much. They generated a new account number which then caused another activation kit to be sent to me. I have spent about 5 hours on the phone with them and I still don't have Internet service with them and none of issues have been resolved. My actual rating is 0. I had a cable bill that went to collections (ERC) which I have been paying on. I recently sent a payment which was Jan 8th 2018 I figured by now it should show on my account! I could not access my account and when I called ERC they said it went back to Comcast. So I call Comcast to see if they have received my payment. It hasn't been received so with that being said I ask why I was not informed that the collection was no long in collections. I didn't get an answer. So I ask well seems I sent the payment to erc if it will still go to the right place the answer I received was " I don't know but it should" and when she repeated what my concern was she had it all wrong! I explained multiple times I finally got irritated asked to speak to a manager, she was very hesitant and I was not able to speak to a manager! the problems started 8 months ago when I first signed up and the tech they sent did not know how to plug the modem in my router. Any attempt to call to have issues fixed takes multiple attempts through their phone service to make it all the way through without being dropped. Outages have been infrequent, but still far more often then I would expect for cable internet. And just recently they are attempting to change me a monthly fee for a modem I bought from a third party when I first got their 'service'. They want me to pay the fee until they resolve the issue, which I cam imagine means they will just keep charging me for something I own. read more

If I could give negative 5 starts I would. The cancellation process is highly flawed, I had to call customer service 5 times to resolve fees and charges due to Comcast's negligence. In the end I got charged a late fee, which took literal sweat and tears to resolve. The reason I was charged a late fee, was because Comcast didn't cancel my account in the time I i requested to issue the cancellation. So after the 4th time calling they managed to finally give me a final bill, oh but wait there was an $80 charge for not returning the wifi device. Fun fact: no one called or informed me in any of the previous 4 "customer service conversations" that the wifi device had to be returned. Nor did anyone give me a location to return it to... only on the 5th call was I informed and by then I already moved out of the house and had no access to the wifi device. First the automation then bad customer service who can't seem to understand anything and trying to sell me more than I want and giving me wrong information about a UPS return requiring me to call back and getting TERRIBLE customer service from Carlos and Shay In Mississippi retention! She just down right was acting like she could not get it told me it's UPS and not USPS which I was well aware of she was just trying to be funny I guess(condiscending)! My number was NEXT on the counter. One of the employees saw a person come in he KNEW. The employee called that person up with NO NUMBER...and ahead of ME who waited the entire HOUR. The worst customer experiences I have ever encountered. Constantly getting hung up on. Cannot understand customer service personnel. I have had the same problem with my service for two years and after 4+ visits it is still not corrected. I asked them to send new equipment as ours is very old and they have done virtually everything else but replace it and the fourth call I placed yesterday, because I kept getting disconnected, I found someone willing to send me the new equipment. Needless to say it was the wrong equipment. I refuse to call any longer for fear that I was going to explode, so I turn this over to my husband to call today. He was also disconnected four times and every time he got a new person needed to start over from scratch. Again nothing was resolved. I still have The same crappy service with pixeled pictures, no sound, channels that won't come in etc. I am at the end of my rope. We are paying for the most premium service that they offer. However we are not receiving what we are paying for. You can barely understand the customer service personnel and they all speak to you off written copy that they have in front of them. They don't address the problem they don't want to send anyone to fix it and they sent the wrong equipment. It makes me wonder what their hiring practices are. To me it seems like if you can answer a telephone you've got a job you don't have to speak English correctly and when you call get used to at least three or four disconnected calls and answering the same questions over and over again. I called their customer service number biggest mistake I made I was transfered continuously back to the same people who kept stating they could not help me. After the 5th or 6th time I had a very rude woman named Leslie answer the phone. I immediately asked to be transfered to a supervisor (I was tired of getting the run around) she became very argumentative with me. I finally just told her I didn't give a shit how she transfered me to a supervisor to figure it out. I wasn't giving her any information about me or my account. She put me on hold for 20 minutes before coming back saying my supervisor wants your name and number he will be calling you back in 2-5 minutes (a phone call I'm still waiting for). My issue was finally resolved by an internet essentials representative. Comcast customer service is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Be warned that Comcast in every division I have dealt with has the worst customer service imaginable.. The only reason I stay with them is because I don't want a dish on my house and AT&T U-verse isn't in my area yet.. Do not rely on what they are telling you is correct.. We physically went into the 36th St location as we were having issues with our Comcast rented modem.. They told us we would need to have a technician come out to replace it.. So they scheduled a technician for a Saturday between 8 & 11 and at noon on that day, still no sign of a tech. We called customer service and they said they didn't even show a tech scheduled to come out.. To say the least I was livid and told them they better get a tech out here ASAP and that if they didn't show up this time I would not only pull my service, but my parents and sister would pull theirs as well.. A tech showed up on Monday, but it's pretty sad that you have to threaten them to get something done.. Can't wait for AT&T U-verse to come to my area... The only reason I am giving 1 star is because I can't give it a zero or a negative for that matter. read more
