But at 5:00 am I was awakened by planes taking off seemingly directly over the hotel. The employees were very nice, especially the breakfast attendant. The breakfast had a larger variety than most HIE locations. The seating area was fairly crowded with tables and chairs in a small space. My room was clean, the shower looked dirty at first but after examination it seemed to be stained rather than dirty.

It's walking distance from the beach and the main strip. We parked our car when we arrived and never touched it all weekend. The hotel also provides bikes to rent but we found that most places are walking distance and the roads/paths are not very bike friendly. Check in was super simple. Our room was very clean and updated. I wish they had smart TVs to connect to Netflix but we didn't spend much time watching TV anyways so it wasn't a big issue. The restaurant did seemed to get a bit noisy at night which drifted up to our room. The breakfast baskets were a BIG hit! The frittatas tasted so good! The fruit cups were also so fresh. I tried the prosciutto croissant on our last day which hit the spot. The quality of food was top notch - just wish we were able to order more! I had an appointment at the spa as well during our stay. The spa staff is super friendly. I used the robe and spa slippers provided in our room and spent some time in the salt water pool and hot tub before my appointment.

The decor is very nice and the hotel has an overall just nice classy aesthetic with a beautiful actual working fireplace in the lobby. A HUGE one, they were nice enough to let us check in early. This is huge if you have children especially ones that need to nap. The hotel was super clean. Our room was spotless. The king suite offered so much space for the 3 of us. The location is pretty central to most things you'd want to visit in the area. The in-room breakfast makes it super easy in the morning to have a stress free bite to eat in the AM. All the food we enjoyed seemed a step above typical "hotel food" Another HUGE plus, it was basically empty the day we visited. We had the entire pool to ourselves. My 3 year old was in heaven. This alone was amazing, lol Ok so now the cons: The hotel is super DARK inside. It's just more geared towards adults. The room was painted black and also super dark. Just took away from the beautiful sunshine that was outside the walls of the hotel, Advertised in the room for smores roasting but was told by the front desk they stopped doing that. Advertised for Ben and Jerries Hotline which is another added cost when you are already paying so much for the hotel. Not much for families to do here. Or if there was activities or things to do, no one really explained them. All in all would stay here again being mindful of the caveats!!!!

They are Double Dipping in terms of making money on a weekend that family is visiting children for Culver Academy and know all hotels are booked. Just poor business and slimy people. Disgrace and not the way business should be conducted here in America. One time we got their last room, and reported it as being a little musty. The hotel manager drove in from home, horrified, and put an air purifier in the room and sprayed. Fixed it right up. They also gave us a steep discount although we didn't ask for one. Every other stay we've had clean, fresh rooms. We've stayed about ten times. There is a nearby HI Express but we had issues with staff professionalism, and they cost twice as much as Super 8. At Super 8 you get a continental breakfast; for double your money at the HI Express you get eggs and sausage. That's it. Super 8 is the best value in Plymouth. If they show being sold-out online, call them directly, they can almost always accomodate.

As soon as we stepped inside we were hit with the smell of cigarettes. We thought it would be better but we were sent to the back of the hotel to get to our room and it was almost worse. We walked In and the smell was worse in the room even though it said non smoking. The toilet was dirty. The sheets had blood or something on them. The floors were wet and spongy. Definitely had mold under them. There is a reason there were no cars in the parking lot. When we approached staff about canceling our reservation as my daughter is highly allergic to mold they told us all they could do was offer us another room. No chance we'd be doing that. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother staying here.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable in a beautiful country setting off the road and near the Tippecanoe River. TV was available but hard to find time to use with the beautiful outdoors beckoning.
